Thank you so much for the tutorial, I want to share my personal experience. I have achieved the frog-stand to handstand finally, it’s not easy it took 4,5 months to achieve it. I could achieve it earlier but I harmed my shoulders by exercising 5 days a week it made my progression slower. Then I started to work on it twice to three times a week, now thank god I’m able to do the transition. My advice to everyone is to don’t hurry up and injure yourself just enjoy the journey ❤
Just a personall Tip from experience... When trying some of this exercises (specially as a begginner), USE A PILLOW in from of u.. sometimes the floor can be Tougher than ur Head (i know...crazy.. xD)
Thank you so much, you have taken the time to break this ( and your other) tutorials into baby steps. I've been bodybuilding since 1979 ,now at 53 you have made me understand how weak I am. I appreciate every piece of the jig saw you explain. Great stuff buddy 👍👍
Great video!! I love hearing you. I’m not English speaker, but I can understand what you say because your voice is clear, slowly and great explanation. I’ll try these exercises 💪
It was posture problems that lead me down this path to begin with. Basic home workouts with some simple correction exercises, into powerlifting, then bodybuilding, now calisthentics as a result of a ligament tear. Its been an interesting journey developed because of rounded shoulders, backward tilting hips and forward leaning neck lol
This video is really helpful. I do this progression in little different way. At first I did frogstand then I didi bent arm Tuck planche, after that I try to raise hips from Bent arm Tuck planche. But this video gives me the way to do frogstand to hand stand. Thanks Minus The Gym
Please help me. My triceps are not too big and i am unable to balance my knees on my triceps. I can do frog stand but not the one with knees on triceps.
Hey, it is kinda late to comment, but i've been training calisthenics for 4 months. I can already muscle up, and do some more things, but i feel like my shoulders are really weak. I can't even do 5 pike push ups properly. What do i do?
Hi. when I try to balance, just when I hit the balance point, my weight keep transfering to palm instead on fingers. Just before that my weight was on fingers. any tip here?
I could already do a press to handstand so I thought maybe a frog's handstandto handstand would be easier but apparently not I cannot quite yet but I've been watching the tutorial and I'm super close I did it once before but I only got lucky that time I can't really do it anymore but I'll keep working on it my goal is to get it in 2 days or less
Wow I struggle with those negative floats when you take both legs off sooooo much. I guess I need to work on the first stages a lot more. I basically just cannot slow down my legs from just dropping at all
Complex concept are you able to hold a solid handstand without pressing up from frogstand? If not, I recommend learning handstand using a wall and kick ups first. When you are comfortable with the handstand then you know your destination and it’s easier to land after pressing up from frog stand. If you can already hold a handstand but are struggling with landing it when pressing up, my advice is to press up rather fast and try to lock out full body tension as quickly as possible at the top. Also, since the press up is purely concentric (there’s no negative on frogstand to handstand) you can practice this quite a lot without getting too sore, so keep that mind too.
Minus The Gym I’ve been practicing handstand. Sometimes i can hold it for 6-10 seconds, but not consistently. It’s frustrating. Also, i can press myself up from frogstand but it takes a big toll from my shoulders. So my shoulders get really sore after the first two tries. I just started implementing wall walk ups and serratus presses to my training.
Im still trying to learn handstand max been able to hold 3secs being trying it over 2 months now. Just getting frustrated with no progress. Can you make some video on tips for balancing better. I do all the stretches before training.
I have been trying it for 5 months and now I can hold it for 30 sec. BUT my problem is I cant hold it straight after kipping, still progressing tho. I personally recommend u to practice back to wall handstand, stomach to wall handstand, wall walks. Try to get the technique first and then work for the strength and endurance.
Addy I like Donkey King's advice. And aside from my handstand balance training video, you might also benefit from my handstand straightening video too. It all boils down to 3 cues: (1) pushing into the ground from your serratus to elevate the scapula, (2) gently squeezing your abs and glutes to tilt the pelvis posteriorly, and (3) flexing the quads and calves to stabilize the legs. Practice those 3 things (a lot) upside down against the wall and then you'll be able to hold it freestanding much easier.
Yeah me too but im about to get it done ( i got it a couple of times but im still perfecting it) don't worry the pain in the arms will go away after like 2 weeks of training bcz ur legs will not keep their whole weight there. They will be lighter bcz ur push strength is gonna keep bringing them up. Btw i have been filming my progression and im gonna be posting it when i perfect it so sub to my channel if u wanna see my journey ❤❤. Hope u get it as well man.
Hey man, i know what you mean. It means you put your knees to high. Your knees need to be put 'on' the bone of your elbows, not on the squishy part of your triceps. When you put it on the bone part you will have much better balance aswell.
I was looking for this video cuz I can already hold the handstand for 10 sec with kick up but I don't always kick up right (it sucks). So today I started to work on phase 1. Wish me luck😊
Bro I'm in the exact same situation right now. My kick up is just so inconsistent. Did you manage to unlock the frog stand to handstand? If yes, how long did it take you?
Osasinator I did in the beginning, but once I learned how to bail out and continued to solidify my handstand, the fear has gone away. Btw, I have a playlist on how to learn the handstand on my channel. It shows step-by-step everything I did to learn it, in case you're interested.
Thank you so much for the tutorial, I want to share my personal experience.

Thanks! Almost broke my nose :)
Yeah, good tip for beginners to not break their faces, I kinda realised that also after.... falling.... on my head...
Thanks man I keep catching myself with my face 🤣
The most impressive thing to me here is the amount of cats you have in that room.
Luca Isabella 😂 I'm glad I was able to impress you nonetheless
Did you achieve the skill yet?
@@MinusTheGym I don't have a wall to use, how would I learn in without the handstand

Grims reaper no problem! And it's one of my favs too. Very challenging and well worth all the effort.
You deserve more subs. Much better than all the other channels that only give half of the info
One of the best and honest handstand tutorials... thank you man, you are really helpful!
One of the best tutorial I've ever seen!! Congrats!! And get more cats on the scene!!!
Ralph Allegrini 😂 And thanks man! That's an awesome compliment

so good! Thanks for breaking it down.

Don't you think wall push ups maybe very tough for girls? Can you suggest some alternative to that?
Always teaching us good stuff Ryan! Thanks.
I am starting this pronto 😍😍😍
Amazing video❤ will update on this
Thank you. Im practicing with your tutorials. ..love for you. ...❤
Definitely trying this
If I am beginner, do you recommend to do for example 10 pike ups every day to gain strenght in the shoulders?
very helpful advice ,thanks.
Please help me. My triceps are not too big and i am unable to balance my knees on my triceps. I can do frog stand but not the one with knees on triceps.
Very good tutorial!! But one question: Can you also go back from handstand into the frogstand?
Thanks for the videos ...very helpful the way u teach is very good for me to catch something....🦎
Hey dude ! Your cats aren't impressed easily 😂😂 ! Totally indifferent your handstand ! Great video though 👍👌
Raj 😂 thanks man!
Great video with exercises and explanations 👍
i have a question: wen you are in the phase 2 or 3 you must to exercise even the phase 1 or you can go over?
Thank you for sharing. How long did it take you to build this force (days, weeks, months or years ...)?
@minus the gym, great video, thanks! Do you have a recommendation for the number of sets?
Thank you!! 🙏🏽

i can do with my arm but i can t go up with my biceps :/ i must more training
Is there anything I can use to stop my knees hurting my arms/elbows for the frogstand? 3:18
Sure you can move your knees a little outside of your arms and foreward, that helped me a lot.

Does this have carryover to freestanding HSPU?
Yes, definitely. The vertical pressing strength helps a lot with HSPUs
impressive
What if my face is touching the ground when i do frogstand float?
Then you brake your nose.
@@NiNo9 you gotta risk everything!
@@NiNo9 i can easily do everything in this video. Exept pike pushups :3
