  • This is the second part to my Xtrons headunit. Some ave been asking questions so just wanted to show a few features to this unit.
    This is the 4th one I have had, and still very happy with it.

    Great video. It's great to see how fluid it is. The head unit seems very versitile 👍

      They have units specific to vehicles or universal units. They are cheaper then most other makes, the thing I like about these is that you can customise them and download the apps suitable to you.

    Hello, thanks for the video. Really useful to see whats possible with the unit. You mentioned about a dongle in the video is that to give the car internet access on the move? Is it possible to achieve this by plugging in your phone to the unit via USB? Im not keen on setting up a hotspot everytime i need to drive.

    • @VarleyRebuilds
      @VarleyRebuilds  2 года назад +1

      The dongle is a 4g dongle, i'm not sure how good it is as someone gained entry to my Freelander as a door latch was also faulty and didnt lock, so it was stolen. I'm not sure about the phone to be honest, but I very rarely needed 4g for the unit itself as I downloaded what I needed when parked outside my home, and the sat nav ran off the GPS antenna.

  • @henrylong45
    @henrylong45 4 года назад

    On each of your videos you did not show the SatNav system actually working. What I want to know is can you use VOICE COMMANDS to control the GPS? For example, can I enter the location that I want to navigate to by speaking the location to the unit?

    Thanks for the Video. I have thr 2011 FL2 SE model. Once this unit is installed, does your phone then connect via Bluetooth to the Standard FL2 RADIO, or does it then connect to the newly installed Tablet?
    Asking because all my music sits in my phone currently, so would I still be able to play the music off my phone via the tablet now using Bluetooth? Thanks a million.

    • @VarleyRebuilds

      yes you can use your phone and use the bluetooth function to play music.

    Hello, thanks for th demo. i have 2 quesitons. Q1 : does the device have it's own SimCard to get 4G for GPS or does it have to go through internet sharing from your smartphone ? Q2 : does the radio go through internet or through a real on board FM tuner ? thanks again !

    • @VarleyRebuilds
      @VarleyRebuilds  3 года назад +1

      It has a gps antenna for the satnav, so doesnt need to be connected to the internet once the satnav is downloaded, it uses fm tuner for radio, but i would advise getting the dab+ antenna to go with it. Hope that helps.
