This has really given me the strength and motivation to finish a testimony I am writing for my youth group's camp. I'm talking about repentance but through writing the testimony I speak about my past sins and failure, and I feel so embarrassed and scared about how much I should share and if I am going to share too much. Part of me is still in the past, but part of me wants to move on and continue showing mercy, and is still trying to show mercy. I guess this whole process of writing the testimony allows me to learn and teach others that although God forgives us once we repent with sincerity immediately, that we in turn need to forgive ourselves and move on.

I took wrong paths in my past, New Age, alcoholism etc. However once I returned to the church, things started to improve, hugely once I started saying a daily rosary. I even had 2 dreams that encouraged me to keep saying the rosary. One of which Our Lady came to me in a dream, and in another occasion a holy lady that I was close to appeared to me in a dream encouraging me to keep saying the rosary. My life has changed exponentially since I started a daily rosary, temptations have ceased and life events have been transformed. But it to time, and persistence. God bless all who read this.
For Mike, u are seriously adorable. U remind me of Jesus very much. I have listened to numerous evangelists over the last50 yrs, for the most part they are dead boring, you however, have that special “ thing” that sets u apart from everyone else. Even though we’ve never met and probably never will, every single time I see u like every single day, I get a joyful feeling, u know I smile, it’s like looking at one of my children. That’s encouraging. I was a heavy critic of the catholic church. Even a rude one, sometimes. Now I regret that past. But yes, I can laugh about the fool I was. Good advice! Please pray for me as I try to reconcile with the Holy Church. I need mercy, because I can’t fix the past.

I needed to hear this. I missed a few episodes and so glad I took the time to catch up today.
( #AscensionPresents !) Thank you for this video, it really uplifted my heart. I was struggling with a sudden deep depression along with anxiety building up. I felt trapped in my whole body. I pleaded to God to help me to get out of this state of mind, as it's been draining me for the past few days. Many times I was tempted to resort to old destructive coping mechanisms in order to feel a sense of release from this emotional paralysis. Since I know how much God loves me, I was able to not act upon these temptations. Frequently today, after saying a train of Hail Marys, I would feel a period of rest in my heart, but soon again that heaviness would return. I wanted to direct my thoughts more towards the Lord, and watched your video. The minuet u talked about sitting in adoration and Jesus shushing you, a fountain of genuine giggles burst out of me like a dam, and I felt my heart become clean.
I'm not catholic, but hope to be soon, thanks to your videos. I'm still dreaming for the day I finally get to see the Lord in the Eucharist! A part of me is a little terrified hehe. I mean standing before God face to face! *BOOM!* mind blowing!
Thanks to your guidance, I was able to overcome periods of doubts regarding my religious vocation to become a Poor Clare of Perpetual Adoration. Haha if people doubt that God works through people's lives, or the fact that he works miracles, they only need to look at my life. I went from an atheist heavy metal chick to future, cloistered, bride of Christ. Only God can work such a profound change in someone's life.

Thanks father Mike very true what you conveyed to us . i remember reading a book called Blackhawk down . The author recalled a woman who said to him " when dealing with your past look but dont stare" . I just recently received shocking news from my ex telling me how bad I affected her, all of the wounded she described are wounds my mom has. I prayed to God to release me from being like my father in so many ways and here I was acting like him and destroying the woman that I love the most on earth. I thought I was being good to her and it’s really hard for me to forget this mistakes and the wounds I caused the person I love the most, but it’s beautiful to know that this is a chance to learn how to love and how to treat someone in a proper way, I wasn’t tough that at home, but know with Jesus and the way he loved his church, and his people, I am learning that I can be different and that I can love better. I pray every day that her wounds heal, and that I learned from my mistakes to become the apostle and the son god wants me to be and if it’s Gods Will a good husband for that person, and a good emotional and spiritual dad.
Amen. You give the deepest lessons that helped me so much. I thank God for having you present this wonderful wisdom. May He Bless you always.

You do another good video on guilt & shame :-
- sometimes shame can keep us in the past & it's more difficult to put down even if it's a shame that was wrongfully put upon us eg our upbringing.
sometimes we live in the past because it's comforting ( we've lost those we love & many things associated with them & the world now seems more hostile. so we retreat instead of trusting Jesus for the now & the future ).
I'm not sure if it's always narcissistic but certainly to focus on Jesus is the best way to move forward, however slow our progress ( change is often outside our comfort zone ).
I was so gripped by the past and 100% you cannot move forward from that place...combined with anxiety and depression...it took me many years to come out of this storm. I’m grateful for finding father Mike on Christmas night 2020. Alleluia 🙏💐🕊🕊 2021 is growing and practising my Catholic faith

You're right, Padre......you can't move forward . I couldn't, I was stuck, until I was able to forgive not only my violator or myself ... I kept slipping back in my mind until the Catholic Charismatic movement thru faith healing , which I was dragged to by my Mother .
Didn't realize Jesus was with me the whole time I was suffering......Forgiveness in my situation is what it took; not a psychiatrist.

This really helped me because I often think of people "living in the past" as dwelling on serious wrongdoings. But, as I have a terrible issue with time management and procrastination (which leads me to not have any time for God), I realized this totally applies to me! I have to stop feeling so frustrated at my bad habit because I have repented, now I only have one focus: not to not procrastinate, but to start doing and focus on Him. That probably didn't make sense, but either way, great video!!

So much fun laughing at myself today too whenever realizing I made another silly error to learn from. What is frustrating to some of us is that because of how some people perceive us because of our past and present station in life no matter how much you try to share with them what you have learned in your past on how to do things better you cannot offer that wisdom to them no matter how much you try to.
