Anton Babani-I survived after taking over 50 pills. It was a combination of anti anxiety medication and antidepressants. I was unconscious for 14-16 hours, during which time I was transported to the ER by ambulance, had my stomach pumped and was admitted to intensive care. There was great concern that my overdose had caused liver and/or kidney damage, but 12+ years later, my organs are working fine.
Ways to be focused on the present: 1) Identify Season: know where you are right now and recognize what is happening in this season. 2) Be Patient: recognize that you have to start somewhere and be patient with fact that you are growing. 3) Be Active: do your work for today so that you can be the person you are called to be 4) Sacrament of Present Moment: it is in this present moment that God communicates with us.

John Smith. Thank you for the fascinating line. I'll keep this in my heart, to remind me life is worth living according to God's plan. God is good all the time.
I just discovered Father Mike today and have already watched several of his videos. He is brilliant! But also patient and kind; he does not come across as 'superior' or haughty. just full of wisdom. I can't wait to pursue more of his topics. Thank you, Father Mike.
It's my birthday today, and I couldn't imagine any better gift than this. I've been praying about my vocation for a long time now, and this video is exactly what I needed.
This is the second time this post has popped up for me. I have to say it is rough to try and live in the present when it is not pretty at all. We are two homeless disabled bodies pretty much squatting in a basement room. Living in the moment today... moving all my daughter's medical supplies, and there is a lot, to a somewhat cooler section of the 90 degree weather. Giving my daughter her IV fluids, eating, feeding our emotional support dogs, then aimlessly scrolling thru RUclips for most of the day. Can not forget having to hose of my little white pup because of his muddy feet twice. And noticing the tumor he just had removed with funds my daughter raised from the internet, is possibly growing back. But!!! I have Jesus by my side, Fr. Mike and Hallow to get me through another useless day.
I just came back from a college retreat and I basically prayed about exactly what you said in this video: "God, if You are calling me to be a priest, let me know now! I am so ready to devote myself to You, just send me the word and I will close doors (to the GRE, to romantic relationships) so that I can open Yours." But I love this meditation on the Sacrament of the Present! God's grace is in the now: My prayer habits now, the beauty of each present season, even my homework. Thank you so much for your inspiring words!

The Catholic Church does not follow the Bible, allow me to present here the versions of the Catholic doctrines about Mary compared to what the Bible says. The sources for this section are the Bible and the "Catechism of the Catholic Church," which has numbered paragraphs. For brevity's sake, I will use "Catechism" plus the number of the paragraph(s). • ALL-HOLY - Mary, "the All-Holy," lived a perfectly sinless life (Catechism 411, 493). Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Revelation 15:4 says, "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy." Romans 3:10 says, "There is none righteous, no, not one." NOTE: In contrast, Mary said that God is her Savior (Luke 1:47). If God was her Savior, then Mary was not sinless. Sinless people do not need a Savior. • CO-MEDIATOR - Mary is the co-mediator to whom we can entrust all our cares and petitions (Catechism 968-970, 2677). There is only one mediator, and that is Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men -- the testimony given in its proper time." It's Clear the Catholic Church contradicts the word of God. I highly recommend watching this video on the history of Christianity here's the link ruclips.net/video/vDKG_WFLUi4/видео.html

In my present moment Fr. Mike my 8 mth old baby girl is waving to you on the screen and giggling while trying to share her frozen teething toy with me. Definitely blessed to be in my "new Dad" season. Thanks for every video and God bless.

God is to be found in the simplest of our daily activities and especially through total surrender to whatever is his will for each of us. That is the message of this 18th-century inspirational classic by Jean-Pierre de Caussade. Its encouragement to “live in the present moment,” accepting everyday obstacles with faith, humility, and love, has guided generations of believers to holiness and spiritual peace. De Caussade shows that this practice of self-abandonment to God’s will is the key to attaining true peace and virtue, and that it is readily available to all people-from beginners to those well advanced in the spiritual life. He also shows how to determine what God’s will is for us. He reveals that it is not extraordinary feats that God expects for our growth in holiness, but rather heroic attention to every detail in our lives and humble acceptance of our daily lot in life as coming from his hand. The rich spiritual lessons in this book have stood the test of time, offering real and practical assistance to all people because its message is simple and clear, one that the reader will find to be a rare treasure of inspiration and direction to be referred to again and again. - Fr. Jean-Pierre de Caussade
Thank you for this. For twenty years I've been striving for more to understand what The Holy Spirit gave us through John Paul ii and others. The current condition of the world cannot be understood without solidarity with the children in the womb and their parents. John Paul ii called upon the Church for an integral concerted effort in all of her pastoral works in all the facets of her mission to be a 'sign' for the Gospel of life in a vast pervasive way to the world. Since, I made decisions in life with Providence; my station in life is not conducive for many others to see me as knowledgeable of these things; no matter how much I learned from history and Church writings over the centuries with a focus on the last 150 years. So, I will work on being in the present moment in prayer, helping others, and prudently sharing what I have been taught. With the exception of heartbreaking easily visible dictatorships; what has come upon the world happened almost imperceptibly. While it started with much subterfuge, it gradually became a pervasive acceptance of precepts that do not accept the Judaeo Christian ethic of the God given dignity and value of every human life. And in certain things, even though there is no one person or group who leads this --- the elitists become of one mind on these things, and have been getting more and more powerful in seducing more and more each generation; mostly because of complacency, silence in proportion to the needs of fellow human beings, and omission in meeting those needs; leaving the world steeped in the culture of death & it's precepts lead the way of providing needs; many times as a veiled bribe to meet those needs. The saddest thing is that we let this happen over the decades with many railing at the darkness; but not rallying behind this call to duty of The Gospel of Life, with all the necessary sacrifices to be a 'sign' to the world. A prime example is the immense heartbreaking turn of events in Ireland over the last few decades. Had we listened to John Paul ii; then The Gospel of Life would have had a much better chance of prevailing. God help us, with Your Light that shines in the darkness and for Your Namesake; for all those who call upon You, O Lord. Amen. *note: one reference to what we are called to do: w2.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/speeches/2000/jan-mar/documents/hf_jp-ii_spe_20000214_acd-life.html
Thank you so much, Fr. Mike! After 8 years of thinking I was on the wrong path career-wise, this year finally finding my vocation, and feeling sorry for all the time that was "wasted"... I recently realized that it was all part of God's plan for me for a reason. But as you said, having finally found my answer I was stuck in this loop of dissatisfaction about "not being there yet". Thank you for teaching me patience, to enjoy today's season, and to not "wanting to run before I can crawl". God bless you for delivering this message when I needed it the most.
Interesting, my therapist told me the same thing, live in the present. I always thought I should live in the future. Fr. Mike is better than a therapist! Well rounded man with the Holy Spirit as his core.
I am now entering the Winter of my life and did all that longing and was impatient for other things to happen. What a silly waste of time. Now my lessons are all about patience, gratitude, the discipline of prayer and to strive to become as holy as God wants to be. This was a great video. Thank you, Father Mike.
Fr. Mike.... your prayer about asking God to tell you what he wants you to do glorify him for the rest of your life. That is my prayer. Thank you for the video! I will take one day at a time. Your videos are amazing, I'm praying for you!!
This tags onto the homily today..."when " something we want to happen is not always in God's schedule. ...in the meantime, ...grateful for patient friends who genuinely care for you. ...
I m very lost now... I was ill 7 years beetwin 29-36 years. I now When all have their careier and family I stay, look around, I see I have nothing. And try to find a ground to my legs 🙏
The patience part can be so hard when you're enduring a long season of suffering. Going on 5 years without a clear cut treatment for my sickness. Thanks for the reminder, Fr. Mike. I'm so grateful to have found your presence in the Catholic Church!
There can be no rush, when it's meant to pass it will be, and you'll know. That's The short version. When you're ready, you'll know, and be ready. Is it going to be easy, no, not at all. But you'll be ready when we calls you to do it. Everyone has a different timeline of where they need to be. This is just my opinion, because this is what has happened with me. This man is very great in his message. I watch often. Again only speaking from personal experience, so please don't attack me.
I found this video at the perfect time! I find myself constantly looking for the future because that’s when I’ll have the opportunity to become more involved in my faith. I feel like I tread water because I stress too much about the future and actually living long enough to be the kind of man God is calling me to be. Thanks to this video, I now know I don’t have to stress. I just have to live the most holy life I can at this moment in time until I’m off to college and have more freedom to get involved in the Catholic Church. Thanks Fr. Mike!
I'm listening to this in 2021...I found my way here because I'm upset that my peers are all over themselves celebrating Halloween but then they want to railroad right over Thanksgiving (my favorite) and crash into Christmas...so, this is great...quite applicable...do the work of the day...not of tomorrow...thanks...
I'm reading an ebook 'St.Anne pray for us' and doing the novena as well. Today is the day3 and the meditation was God lives in the eternal present. Staying present by keeping praying. Your video is just confirmation on what God is telling me to do and be in this season. I came from prayer to this. Bless you, Fr.Mike!
I really want to join a religious order near me, and up until now my family had been completely against it. Yesterday my dad told me he’d let me join but that I had to get my career done with first. Though this gave me so much joy, it also really disappointed me. This video came at the right time. Please pray for me so that I’ll have patience.
Wonderful video. I myself would be feeling not at peace and lost and dreadfull of whatever's to come ....if I was not in the present moment. It's awesome to be in the present moment especially when there is silence..great gift ✝
I find myself wishing it was the future more often than not and I have to remind myself that Gods timing is perfect and if something is meant to be it will happen when God knows I'm ready. God bless you Father Mike and thank you for the great videos. You always seem to make videos about the things that are on my mind the most!
Fr. Mike, you give me so much food for thought with all your videos. I want to put it ALL into practice at once but i don't have enough time in the day! Ugh! You're killin me Father, you're killin me!! lol
Father Mike, thank you for putting this out today of all days. It's amazing how God can work. You have such a way of putting things that makes me understand better. I am I guess you could say "Almost Catholic", and am in the process of "crossing the Tiber", as I've seen it described. I'm still on the banks of the other side, but anyway God bless you.
Thank you father Mike. What you are saying in this video resonates so much with me. For me it is telling me that we should accept our present to make changes to our life and find out where God is calling us to serve him best.
Thank you for sanctified humor in sharing this real issue! Present contentment and working with now gives hope and clarity to see the next season! But live now! Amen!
I smiled the whole way through because this video could not apply more to me and my situation right now. Thank you fr Mike for making this video and letting the Lord speak through you to me and many others.
Wow...... I was just struggling with this today and I asked the Lord for some guidance... and here you are! Thank you Fr. Mike, you truly are a blessing [:
I get told to live in the present moment all the time (thank you, Dominican sisters. I love you:). I'm finally starting to live in it. just a little. It's a work in progress. life is a work in progress
This a really important message. "Love looks to the present. Fear looks to the future." -C.S. Lewis

Bible in a Year!!!
It is disturbing that I ran into this video at the exact moment I was feeling frustration about my current state of life. Talk about providence!
It's my birthday today, and I couldn't imagine any better gift than this. I've been praying about my vocation for a long time now, and this video is exactly what I needed.
There are two great days in a person's life - the day we are born and the day we discover why...
brian kelly I love that saying
Adam Kopf Wishing you a Happy Blessed Birthday, Adam!!🎂👼 I am adding you to my prayer list for your vocation ! Peace and all good wishes🌹
That’s so awesome! Happy birthday to you and may God bless you always! 🙏❤️🤲🙌
God bless you in your discernment! We are praying with and for you.
Father Mike best priest in the world! Thanks Father. Without priests like you we would be lost! Pray for me.

Thank you for this. For twenty years I've been striving for more to understand what The Holy Spirit gave us through John Paul ii and others.
I can't tell you how badly I needed this video today. It's been a really rough week and this helped so much. Thank you Fr. Mike.
Fr.Mike, thank you very much.
I really want to join a religious order near me, and up until now my family had been completely against it. Yesterday my dad told me he’d let me join but that I had to get my career done with first. Though this gave me so much joy, it also really disappointed me. This video came at the right time. Please pray for me so that I’ll have patience.
Thank you very much. God bless you. Amen.
Perfect timing! Thank you
Perfectly. The Lord is really using you to have His messages heard.
Keep going good stuff
Wonderful video. I myself would be feeling not at peace and lost and dreadfull of whatever's to come ....if I was not in the present moment. It's awesome to be in the present moment especially when there is silence..great gift ✝
5yrs later still relevant 😊
I find myself wishing it was the future more often than not and I have to remind myself that Gods timing is perfect and if something is meant to be it will happen when God knows I'm ready. God bless you Father Mike and thank you for the great videos. You always seem to make videos about the things that are on my mind the most!
Awwww sweet thank you father MIke.
HEY FATHER MIKE!!! LOVE YOU, LOVE YOUR WORDS, LOVE YOUR ATTITUDE. UK.xxxx
Fr. Mike, you give me so much food for thought with all your videos. I want to put it ALL into practice at once but i don't have enough time in the day! Ugh! You're killin me Father, you're killin me!! lol
'Yes living in each moment of our lives and as of this very moment in my life I know God is with me . I can feel that'.👴
Amen Fr. Mike 😁 i agree to that! Our choices of today (the present moment) will be the results of another present moment hahah! GOD BLESS U FATHER😄
You are so radiant father. I am now learning to live in the present moment
Fr Mike u are cheeky , lovable, and so very interesting, actually it’s a joy to listen to you, and this comes from a 70yr young gran.

I will watch again as my mind scatters in the future. Thank you
Thank you Father Mike i love this
Father Mike, thank you for putting this out today of all days.
This was so relevant to my life right now. I've seriously been impatient with my current season I'm in lately. Thank you!
I love when he's a total goofball & funny!🤣🙏❤
Thank you for sanctified humor in sharing this real issue! Present contentment and working with now gives hope and clarity to see the next season! But live now! Amen!

I smiled the whole way through because this video could not apply more to me and my situation right now. Thank you fr Mike for making this video and letting the Lord speak through you to me and many others.
Lol that bit when you said you wanted god to just tell you right now was really funny. I’ve felt the same 😂
I just needed to hear that again. We should never get tired of this message. Bless you too:)
You da man Father Mike

Fr. Mike, can you make a video on how to convert to Catholicism? I would really appreciate it!
GhostlyNinjaDude
Just pop down the local church and meet the priest and fill out the paperwork
John 6:38
"For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me."
