Awesome to hear! That is the point with my lessons I would rather you take what inspires you to create and then have fun with the concept in your own way.
Bought the course as soon as it came out, great lesson as always. You’re lessons always make me pick up my guitar and play.

Keywords: zztop, gary clark jr, jimi hendrix. I had to click, and Im glad I did. When Im by myself and I first pickup my guitar, I always find myself playing licks in that 7-9 position..because they sound so zztopish. Glad to see a lesson in this position. Thanks man.
Sure thing!
I'm still at lessons you uploaded 10 years ago, purple curtain phase.... miles behind. Cheers for your good work.
Lol! Well thanks for hanging in there all these years!

Thank ya sir!
I read an interview with EVH where he talked about 'falling down the stairs and landing on my feet.' I think that's similar to what you were saying about barrages of notes that 'shouldn't' work, but still do. This was a great lesson. Thanks, man!
Yes he did say that! Thanks for tuning in!
Really enjoy your lessons Brett. It'd be great to hear you playing with your band. Thanks
Wish I had a band lol! Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to more like this in the series , great job killer video

Tele sounds incredible with that amp! 👌🏻
Thanks! Yeah it’s a good combo!
I've got 3 of your courses and they ARE ALL GREAT and very affordable what I would spend in a year on private lessons I've got 3 courses. I was having a little of a challenge with the Hendrix course and the rhythm course is helping with that. Keep up the good work. You and Congilio (I'm suspicious he's a transplanted northern hillbilly?) (LOL) are my favorite instructors and I can tell you guys care about your students. Thanks.
Wow thanks so much for all of the support! Glad the lessons are helping! Corey is awesome as well such a great teacher. And yes we both really do try to go the extra mile for all our students.

Turn up the lights, very dark, but I do enjoy your videos!
Thanks for checking them out.
Learning from you since 2015. Just love you man ! I have all your course 🤘!! Thank you for this awesome course!! jus one question, where is the gold top😄?
Thanks so much for the support!! Sold the Gold Top to upgrade some camera gear. I think I am gonna stick with the Junior and a Special. I do need a real Les Paul though!
@@BrettPapa You are most welcome 🤘!! If I may recommend a Les Paul, I think you would like the sound of the Slash Gibson from the new signature line!
Super tasty love the drive ! The downstrokes are super nasty
Thanks!
A very great lesson así usual could you upload the backing track that is so cool too?
Hi Roberto! Glad you liked the lesson. You get all the tracks with the course.
BRETT PAPA, listen to a lot of hendrix bass lines and Zeppelin bass lines because they wouldn't use the root notes all the time at certain spots they would use a major 3 or minor 3 down from the root or another scale degree at the root. Example if you're playing an E minor chord and the bass player is playing a C note the harmony turns into C major 7. Try to make a video lesson about it because hendrix used some unusual bass lines while noel redding and later billy cox
I'll check it out.
@@BrettPapa John Mayer I have seen take his thumb and moves it either down or up from the root note up a half step or whole step while keeping the major or minor barre chord. I'm not sure if these are called Slash Chords or what types of blues chords these are called but if you can make a video lesson about which chords you can use that you can move your thumb down or up a half step or whole step from the root note. I think its called Stacked Harmony. Example if you're playing an A major barre chord at the 5th fret but move the thumb root note up a half step to A#Bb, what blues chord is this called? moving the thumb root note up a whole step to B while keeping the A major or A minor barre chord, is what color? when moving the thumb root note Down to G#/Ab is what chord? These blues chords are somewhat of inversions or slash chords. John Frustiante uses chord inversions also and shell chords 2 notes or 3 notes. The guitarists in pearl jam and STP stone temple pilots use unusual chords and chord voicing.
Oh men such a nice vid , on zz tones ... i just noticed for now you got sometimes an headphone on and maybe i missed the link about it so scuse me for if i did but if i didn t what HP do you use please in your live context i mean ?
They are Audio Technica headphones. I am not positive of the model number though. Seems to be what all the session guys here in town use. They are around $170 so maybe you can find them if you look at the prices of them. They sound great real true to what is being played.
Thanks for the lesson. What drum pedal are you stepping on?
It's probably a loop off of my laptop. I am a huge EZ Drummer 3 and Superior Drummer fan. Awesome stuff!
papasito! these 2 most current videos have given me some great ammo... so, i'm going to pay the sensei!!
thank you, sir.
(well, thought i would... where's your tip jar link??)
Haha thanks! No tip jar I just have courses. I should figure that out soon lol!
@Brett Papa please do!! there are many who would use it that maybe don't have time or patience for a course but would love to compensate you for your lessons!
i tip uncle larry quite a bit.
Hey Bret. Why don't your boards overlap on the wall at one vertical line? Is that a door or a design? BTW love your vids n lessons
Haha I know when I first built the wall I had to build it in two pieces. It isn't on a real wall its a set. Next studio will be different!
@@BrettPapa you took time to answer my ' drunk texting'! Thanks.
I like your wall
Hey Brett, where do your drum tracks come from?
Some I hire real drummers but I also love EZ Drummer 3
Brett! Where do you get your drum tracks from?
If it is for courses I use a guy here in town but if I am just practicing and getting down ideas EZ Drummer 3 is pretty tough to beat. Worth every penny!
That tone 😛
Glad you liked it!
❤🤘
Thanks for watching!
@@BrettPapa It is my pleasure and thank you for your effort and great will..
I have been following you for a couple of years and you are very talented. ❤️🤘
Do you know how hard it is to find info/lessons on pedaling back to the root in rock music ? You get some in metal tutorials but even then it’s pretty tough to find stuff that isn’t just “ this is how you chug “
So awesome. How do I get that drum beat? Is it a pedal?
It is part of the course. You get a bunch of beats with the course. I got it from Superior Drummer 3.
@@BrettPapa thanks man. I took your cadge course help me so much. I’m sure doing this one. Thanks again.
