Incredibly inspirational and valuable! Thank you for sharing your experience! I have a full time job, and I'm planning to start freelancing and building multiple income streams in the upcoming year. Do you think it's better to freelance and look for clients globally or start out in a local market?
Thanks for the kind words, Marina! I think it depends on what problem space you'd like to solve/work on. Decide on the problem space first, then see which market (local/global) is a better fit for you. For example, maybe you'd find that you prefer SaaS and dislike e-commerce projects, vice versa. If you have no idea where to start, just grab on to any client you can find first, after that you should have enough experience to know which one is a better fit for you. Every client is different, every project might progress differently too 🙏🏻 One thing to consider would also be payments - global clients may pay in a different currency (eg. USD). So you'd need to set up a PayPal or something similar (totally optional). Hope this helps!

@@kevinchen2172 Make a list of ALL the things you personally enjoy or think you might be interested in working on as a side stream. Take 4-5 of them that seem like they could work with YOUR lifestyle and pursue them. Keep the original list around and add to it anytime you think of something new, and if 1 or 2 of your side streams just don't work out, replace them with others on the list. Dump all that into etf's on the stock market to let that money further grow and keep working your main job until you're able to live comfortable on about 30% of your side income streams while investing the other 70%. Once you reach that, you can retire from your full time job! Plus, after you get so you can live off 30% of the growth from your investments (which allows the other 70% to continue to grow), you can retire from your side income streams as well (if you so choose of course)!
Even though 8 income streams sounds like a very lucrative way to go... I do not think that I could juggle that many. I think that I'd be content with about 3 or 4. But thanks for making the video! Very great information!
You’ve earned a new subscriber! I’ve very recently decided that UI/UX is the field I would like to get into, and I’m currently setting up my systems and streamlining things to help transition into being productive. Videos like this are helping further refine the process
Hi Rachel! Fellow Malaysian here 👋🏼 Absolutely love this just in time for the new year where I’m thinking about multiple-income streams. & I feel you, coming from 9-5 it’s super easy to feel guilty when you’re not “busy”. 🙌🏼
I wanted to share that this was really uplifting as I've been building my streams as well and I just started my blog. loved your video :) Thank you for sharing your experience.
Rachel, this is such good content presented in such a simple, thoughtful way. Subscribed and contemplating how to put some of your lessons to immediate use.
Fantastic video, as always Rachel :) I’d love to know how much time you invest(ed) into growing all of these income streams, and how it correlates with the income you get. I understand RUclips is a long term game, so eventhough your income might not be that high at the moment, and the time you invest into creating videos might be disproportionate atm…but it’ll be worth it in the long run. I’m also curious if you could or want to outsource some tasks to a virtual assistant? I’m trying to find the balance amongst all of my income streams right now. But I’m too cheap to pay for someone (yet) :D maybe next year. Keep up the great work!
This is so inspiring!! Thank you so much for being so transparent and sharing all your tips! This motivates me so much and I'm more than happy I found you on RUclips.

Hi. I'm a student studying Computer Science. And I stumbled on your video in my recommendations. As a Malaysian as well, it is really inspiring to see you succeed. I used to be gloomy on how our country isn't doing well on the jobs and built up my own fear cage from reading too much pessimistic articles bout the upcoming future. But after watching your video, I somewhat have regain my confidence that it is possible to survive and become financially free. Do you have any mentorship programs, or maybe like a coaching program cause I would really like to learn from you a lot more on developing my skillset needed to become financially free as well. Again I would like to share my thanks to you for making an inspiring video. Have a nice day.
Thanks for sharing! I totally agree with everything being "figureoutable". I got into a top UX position after going self-taught because I was tired of my underpaid overworked retail job. I decided to sell most of my stuff and move into an RV to travel because I loved traveling and wasn't happy with the amount of time I could get off. I found ways to save money living in an RV and became totally debt free while saving 80% of my income, and I'm currently taking a mini-retirement for the first time at only 27. If you told me all of that 5 years ago while I was going more and more into debt and being overworked, I never would have believed it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. I just come across your account, it is amazing. I am also thinking of starting something along with my full time job. I was an international student and now on h1b visa in US, can you share some suggestions on how to have multiple income sources on international visa. That will be really helpful.

I am a teacher.... In 2022.... You can only imagine what that means. I really liked the line, "everything is figuroutable". It is comforting to know that it is possible to go from low income to high income, just by being diligent. I also have a background in info/tech. Thanks for your content. I'm seeing my light at the end of the tunnel.

Great video. Helps me a lot when I'm just getting started towards multiple income stream and financial freedom. However, seeing how each income stream relate to time invested would be really interesting to look at.
Wonderful video, Let’s be honest, success does not come easily, and you shouldn’t expect it to come easily to you, It needs time and effort. As a result, patience and determination are two of the most important fundamental performance qualities you can learn.
I absolutely loved this video! I am a full-time college student right now, and my goal this year is to focus on gaining 3 income streams that I can have all throughout the year! The way you went through and showed the proportion of how much the income stream was in relation to your total income was a very helpful visual that really put into perspective for me how important each one can be when combined with others!
Very inspiring! I was wondering how you managed your time to do all these works and your practices. I find Time management for different projects is the toughest thing. I really struggle on this. I'm a singer, graphic designer and also has interest in different sides related to art like interior design, ceramic, illustration etc. But I find it so hard to manage time to work and practice all those things. I tried to manage but I failed and quit from doing lots of things that I would love to do. ❤️
You should take a look at the book "7 habits of highly effective people". This was a great help for me to be more productive with planning and time management.

So inspiring, thanks for sharing Rachel! And I super agree as well. Even if you have a full-time job, there's no real job security even if you have a full-time job. I also agree and need that boost of "follow your curiosity" cause I have many interests, if I learn this topics for sure I'll be a more valueble professional and can raise my salary, my prices, etc
Get a man women don’t know how to make money
Everything is figuroutable is a book by Marie Forlio
Now the question is: how did you manage your time/energy/stress to make all of these things work?
“Follow your curiosity, not your passion”
I love that
Did you take a course for Webflow? And from learning to finish, how long till you find your first client? If you don't mind sharing. I'm currently wrapping up my Webflow training. Thanks in advance and happy holidays, stay safe!
Rachel, this was really encouraging. I've been stuck the last 3.5 years. To hear you taking small steps and achieving things in 2 years motivates me. The quality of your tips also stand out - very relatable and down to earth!

I came across your channel a few weeks ago! Love your new cinematography process and skills. Well deserved success Rachel!! Keep it up!!
You inspired me to share my income streams as well.
Thank you, Mizko! :)
Just out of curiosity: How would the pie chart look like if it was in terms of the time you spend on each of it
probably round
Good question, any suggestions for a full-time daddy with 2 naughty kids? Yet follow my curiosity?
@@Spladoinkal Thanks for pointing out the direction. I really like this step by step path to establishing a lifestyle for my own.
Absolute Ape shit! That's what my time chart looks like with just 3 income stream including passive ones. 🤦♂️🤷🏻♀️
Even though 8 income streams sounds like a very lucrative way to go... I do not think that I could juggle that many. I think that I'd be content with about 3 or 4. But thanks for making the video! Very great information!

I’ve very recently decided that UI/UX is the field I would like to get into, and I’m currently setting up my systems and streamlining things to help transition into being productive. Videos like this are helping further refine the process
Thank you Johnathan! I'm happy you chose UI/UX, hope things are awesome for you!
@@rachelhow I’m a copywriter and video editor, but really want to learn UX/UI design. Where would you recommend to start?
Great video! :)
Please explain "Follow your curiosity, not your passion"? It makes no sense to me.
Hi Rachel! Fellow Malaysian here 👋🏼 Absolutely love this just in time for the new year where I’m thinking about multiple-income streams. & I feel you, coming from 9-5 it’s super easy to feel guilty when you’re not “busy”. 🙌🏼
ruclips.net/video/AkbxMvq_btA/видео.html
I wanted to share that this was really uplifting as I've been building my streams as well and I just started my blog. loved your video :) Thank you for sharing your experience.
That is awesome! Good luck with your blog :)
Rachel, this is such good content presented in such a simple, thoughtful way. Subscribed and contemplating how to put some of your lessons to immediate use.
Thank you, Gabriel! Means a lot :)
You got this, Roza! Thanks for watching :)
wow, I loved the Pie Chart display. It made the entire video feel tied together.
Thank you
"Think about the processes and how you can turn them into systems"
Wow! 😎👌🏽
Thank you Felipe!
Take away: baby steps to financial freedom. I love that. Thanks for sharing. This is a piece of honest advice and tips
Yes! Thank you!
Such a great video! Congrats! :D
Thanks Afzal!!
It's so nice to see you grow so much 😊
This is very inspiring 😁
Thank you Kaushik! Hope your channel grow fast too! Keep going!
I like how you say "pre-loved" items. You're not ignoring how you used to value those items even if you're letting them go now.
This is a great video, and I love the idea of "follow your curiosity". Thanks for sharing all this - I'm glad this video showed up on my YT feed! :)
Thank you, Jacob! Means a lot!
Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market
Inspiring! You go girl. Thank you for keeping it real
Rachel, you are SO inspiring - I recently found out about your channel and I love all your videos! You also made me look into webflow and I'm so tempted to try it out. Thank you so much for sharing this and all the awesomeness you keep sharing!
I'm so glad to hear this, Rali!! Super happy for you ❤️
Was it easy?
No
Was it worth it
Hell yes.
absolutely loved your take on this topic! keep doing what you do, you inspire me plus I'm sure, many others. subbed!
Awesome! Thank you Kripa!
Love you girl ! You are an inspiration
Definitely you are doing great but.... to say those big words - *if i can change someone life or leaving lagacy*. i think that will work if you haven't opened up the RUclips monitored system. whenever we watch a video for information some unsual ads popup and our all attention went out. so its all about money for you kindly don't fool other's and your self. overall you are great the way you are teaching is super i get admired lot from your video and i even over watch again n again. great work keep doing it.
@@abrasionthermals9172 yes it is monetized channel we see ads while watching videos from start to middle to end. all the time.
“Everything is figureoutable!” LOVE THAT, Rachel!! That phrase alone can change someone’s life!👍🏻💓
Thanks for watching!!
everything except your inlaws
Now I looking for job in it sector,I have 7 year experience in it field
How on EARTH are you managing all this 🤯🤯
Very inspiring!
Thanks for the tip! That’s a good book. I’ll re-read it some day :)
Hi Rachel, I want to thank you very much for your openess in sharing your journey with us. It is refreshing hearing someone talk about their income streams without sensationalizing and selling us a course. You are so inspirational, keep up the awesome work 👏
Hy Rachel...i'm loved you channel.
a question...
how much time of your day (and which days) do you devote to each of the income sources?
Thanks for your time and infos!
I love how informative this video is!! I had a question- what website did you use to do freelance ux? Thank you ☺️
hello! I'm planning to do freelance and build income streams, I work and do time management but I always make sure to have 6-8 hours of sleep.. Would I still be able to do this if ever I change careers? my current career is making me stagnant..
Your advice about busywork is something a lot of new professionals struggle with! Prioritizing the high value work or not doing tasks that aren't asked of you that aren't high value is so important.
100% :)
Yes, you definitely changed my life. You and your videos inspired me to grow as UX designer. Thanks a lot.
So inspiring, thanks for sharing Rachel! And I super agree as well. Even if you have a full-time job, there's no real job security even if you have a full-time job. The security is in trusting that you'll be able to survive, pivot, and figure things out :) P.S. Is "everything is figureoutable" from Marie Forleo as well?
Hey Lian Kyla, yes it's from Marie Forleo! :) Totally agree with you - we should be flexible, always learn new skills and be okay with pivoting when needed.
Awesome, will u please share exact earning details from all these sources
Just found your channel Rachel! Fantastic and inspiring video! I am a new homeowner and am always panicked about relying on only one income. I love your tips around not putting all your eggs in one basket and having multiple income streams so that you always have backup in the event that one of the income streams does not work out. Thank you for this!
So inspirational. “Follow your curiosity more than your passion” this quote gave answer to my some of my few confusions. Thank you for the advise
"Everything is figureoutable" Thank you for giving me such a wonderful mantra for this new year.
You have broken down what you didn't know some time back and you've shown how you now earn an income from them. First of all, congratulations!!! How did you learn all that?
Amazing to see you grow so fast! Having different income streams is the way for 2022. Thank you and I am very happy I've found your channel!!
This is amazing content Rachel, thanks for sharing the step by step and demystifying the steps. You are so right the videos are on RUclips making them literally like a legacy that outlives us❤️
Thank you for this video loved it !!gonna check out Matt Dvellas youtube program!

Just like you I am also working as a product designer full time, and running a freelance business on the side. I am currently looking into building an additional income stream so this video was really helpful!
Great advice, very inspiring. Glad to have found you ☺️

Thank you, Amir! You're very kind :)
The only 3 income stream worth mentioning are the full time job, uxui design, and the web flow. It's not so much the quantity but the quality of those income streams.
I love your energy and perspective about creating content and serving others! Thanks for sharing & doing what you do :)
I was an unexperienced trader and i lost over $30K when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I find one source to recover my money, at least $5k profits weekly. Thanks so much Mrs Pam Joan Birnie

You have such a soothing and wonderfully personable presence. Thank you for being so thorough with breaking down everything you've learned. Appreciate your time and tips! Happy New Year!
"Its about taking baby steps, so you dont have to rely on a single source of income when things dont turn out how you expected them to be." THAT PART!!!
Since you mentioned cryptos and you are a UI/UX designer you should definately have a closer look at NFTs and the recent crypto gaming hype. A lot of projects could need great designers for to build a sustainable business model around their ideas. Just one thing on cryptos though, never invest money you can´t afford to lose and never invest in something you don´t understand.
This is sound advice! I agree that we should never invest money we can't afford to lose.
Thanks for the insights Rachel!
Fellow Malaysian Internet business owner here, thanks for making this video! Looking forward to more content from you about your process
Awesome. Thank you so much for watching!

Awesome and refreshing 🙌🏼 Thank you Rachel 🙏🏼 Much success to you and everyone here for 2022 & beyond 💫

Can a graphic designer work as UI/UX designer with zero coding knowledge?
Yes you can :) Coding knowledge is not necessary :)
@@rachelhow Thank you for your quick reply, where can I find work for UI/UX?

Fantastic video! It is has never been more important to have multiple sources of income and not have all of your eggs in the one basket. I took Ran Segall's Webflow course a couple of years ago and have done some websites for family, friends and friends of friends since which I really enjoy!
