I'm Mikel, a 15 year old boy from the Basque Country, and I'm very proud of my country. I also thank you for giving me the opportunity of remembering my country's history. It's the first channel from youtube that introduces the Basque Country's beauty to the world and I'm very grateful. Thank you! Great videos and beautiful content! Zorionak!
Weirdly enough my hometown (Elko, Nevada) has a huge Basque connection. We have a Basque Festival every year and a few amazing Basque restaurants. It's random, but I do love hearing more about the Basque people's origins. I knew a lot of people in Elko with Basque ancestry.
in the new spain (now mexico) in many parts of the country most in the New Vizcaya (now Chihuahua, Durango and other states) the first basques lived in that area even the flag of chihuahua is similar to euskadi flag
My mother was full Basque. Born in Nevada, she left with her parents and siblings to Espana (Spain), where she learned the language . Then she returned to the USA in 1934 .
I live in the Basque Country in San Sebastian and this video makes me so happy! You give an amazing point of view of these lands to people who don't know anything about it and that's great! Can't wait to watch the next videos... Thank you!
My Father was Basque but passed away when I was little. No contact with his Basque family. All I have of him is the Rh- and the last name “Irureta” I hope to go visit one day 🥰
I've only heard of Basque a few times in History Class but I've never read anything, much less watch anything about the Basque Country. What a great way to get introduced to an unknown place! great job as always.
My parents were Basque farmers . the videos of the Basque Country are perfects, we are as naturals as the stones where we live for the last 40,000 years. We live in harmony with the natural world and we love our old Euskera (Basque language). We are the last aborigines in Europe.
thank you for your inspirering channel. We'll be travelling to the basques next sunday with almost 40 young students from the netherland. We'll be staying in Bilbao but explore the provence for a whole week! Can't wait for us to go, bye and thanks a lot!
Your videos are always so informative! I love hearing about the place... Most people don't give the history and info associated with travel destinations! Thanks!
Aupa Vagabrothers! I discovered your blog thanks to Txaro and the good ole Gobierno Vasco. Just like you guys, I am from California and I also spent time as an auxiliar de conversación. I recently returned to the U.S. after being there for almost two years without returning home... It is so crazy to believe I left on May 31st of this year, 2016... I made so many wonderful friends and I have so many beautiful memories that will stick with me forever. La oportunidad de vivir allí fue una experiencia inolvidable. I have yet to see the rest of the videos in this series, but it has been such a pleasure watching this first one. It is like taking me back in time and I am able to revisit the places that I have seen in person (i.e. San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Gernika, Getaria, Donostia, Astigarraga, the area by the Salto del Nervión, etc.). I myself lived in Durango and Urkiola used to be my stomping grounds. Did you guys ever make it to Amboto? Hah, and pintxos saved me from hunger many a time. Anyway, thanks for giving me the chance to float away a little. I am now working full time and things are very different. Bueno... Eskerrik asko lagunak! I wish you well on your travels. Ondo pasa!
Wow!!! This looks so amazing! Ten years ago I did a DNA test through National Geographic and learned that my ancestors came from the Basque region and ever since I've been so interested and entranced by this region. Hopefully I'll be visiting in the next year or so and looking forward to immersing myself in the culture and history of my ancestry.
Guys! I'm so happy I discovered your channel. I was just watching one of Eddie G's videos where you were collaborating at the RUclips space. I decided to check you guys out and what's the first video I see? This amazing blog of my beloved Euskal Herria! My parents immigrated from Valle de Baztan in Navarra, and most of my family is still there. You guys do a wonderful job of keeping your videos entertaining, while also still managing to educate. You have this Basque girl's enthusiastic approval! Zorionak and I can't wait to see more!

Interesting story about the basque country I did not know. Btw it's so fun to see your channel grow and I want to congratulate you guys with over 100k subs! Keep inspire and stay curious. Production value on this channel is so amazing.
Great work! I feel like I learnt a lot in this video; it was informative but also not boring lol. Actually I knew nothing about Basque country or even heard of it lol. Looks like a good amount of time has been spent editing. It's good to see you guys really put the hard work and go the extra mile, the hard work will pay off!
Great video guys, beautifully capturing the awesome Basque Country. I first came to know about Basque from cycling. Now seeing they have this amazing and unique culture, would love to visit as well cycle around here

Eskerrik asko Vagabrothers! I left part of my heart in Euskal Herria when I first went there 5 years ago to visit our Basque families we got connected with hosting students through a summer English student exchange program (Summer in the USA). I had the privilege to dine in homes and sociedades surrounded by the amazing people, culture, and of course, FOOD (and cannot forget the superb wine and sagardoa! Txin txin!). Your videos make that heartache so real for me as you have done an excellent job capturing the heart and soul of this beautiful place and makes me long for the day I can return.

Aupa Euskal Herria!! I love this vlog, I was born in San Sebastian and I love the basque culture. It's incredible that you get to show people beautiful places that aren't that famous in the world... Keep doing this 😉
After 9-5 repetitive and boring work hours, going home then watching your video is the ultimate relaxation, dreaming some day I could travel like you guys. Incredible video as always! Keep inspiring.
Great job! Wow! Thanks for taking us on this very nice, intimate and knowledgeable tour! I felt like I was really hanging out there with you guys, minus the wine tasting bit. :D
Many places here in the Philippines were named after places in the Basque Country because apparently many conquistadors were from small villages in the Basque Country.
Very interesting i did not know that, and I'm Filipino and basque because my great grandparents moved to the USA during ww2 and happened to somehow meet lol
Travel Channel has got some competition. Great footage and writing and editing. Well done. I can't figure out how you travel with all that gear but I'm jealous.
