My parents were Basque farmers they were born in 1934 and 1937 . the videos of the Basque Country are perfects, we are as naturals as the stones where we live for the last 40,000 years. We live in harmony with the natural world and we love our old Euskera (Basque language). We are the last aborigines in Europe.
So proud to be Basque and so proud it inspired you guys to make these videos from incredible places all over the globe. I'd also recommend you guys going to Uribe Kosta (Getxo, Sopelana, Plentzia and Gorliz are simply stunning).
I thank you so much for the respect and love you are showing for our country in these videos... You have even explained a little bit our rmithology! Thank you so much guys! Greetings from Bilbao
Guys, you did an incredible work on the Basque Country. Full of enthusiasm and respect, but also colourful and great choices . Zorionak and thank you!! Highly appreciated. (as a basque living abroad, you made my life easier... ;-) )
I could feel the love in this video - especially enjoyed the food sequence and your taking a moment to reflect on the full circle. I spent a few days in San Sebastián years ago and it's still up there as the best food of my life. I was just stunned with how well they prepare the simplest things. 😋😋😋😋
Wow the Basque country looks so beautiful and interesting and also very educational. Love the video you guys are making amazing videos and i'm always so excited to see what you guys are up to.
it's just amazing how you guys show another parts of the world, not just the traditional destinations. Your videos are an inspiration and encouragement for me!!
Ahhhhhh I absolutely LOVE these vlogs! I am so glad that you guys are traveling to my country and not only showing the tourist side, you also show the culture (food, myths, etc...). Thank you! Have you thought about learning Euskara though? I saw Alex wearing the "Euskaraz bizi nahi dut" shirt and it warmed my heart to see you promoting the language aswell! I hope that you'll be travelling to the northern provinces for the last videos of the series, we've got some awesome places here too. On another note I saw your snapchats and I know you're in Europe so you better come to San Fermin this weekend! In the meantime, eskerrik asko and keep up the good work!
Vagabrothers, your joy and love of what you do is incredible! It is so inspiring to see two such talented people bringing the best of the world to those of us who otherwise would not even be able to imagine such places. You make us all feel as though we're tagging along with you on an adventure. What you do is a real calling that does real good.
Yeah I'm hating you guys right now! :-) Not really! You get to some of the most spectacular places and eat some amazing food (you've been to Ireland of course!) but the Basque Country which is very green like Ireland, looks incredible and I really must go there next year. Maybe I'll travel with my younger brother!! Keep up the good work guys, I really enjoy seeing your videos.
+vagabrothers I sure am! Well, I'm Basque-American. My parents immigrated over so I was born here but we would go back for the summers. I live in San Francisco. Also went to ucsb. Go Gauchos!
Hey guys -- have you done a vlog about how you pack for international trips? ...especially with regard to lightweight packing, essentials, tips & tricks, etc. If not, any plans to do so?
How fun guys! Keep having fun and pushing yourselves beyond what you think you can do. I love all the info you put in your videos. I try and put info in my videos as we go but you two must do a lot of research first.
Your videos are so well produced, you show the culture of the place implicit in the images, stories or any talk in general. I am not really a traveler but with your content and the other travelers vlogs as alanxelmundo I get inspired for some day I can do those kinds of travel. Thanks and cheers from Mexico!
I love your Basque series!!! soooo excited for my upcoming trip this August!! :) I hope I get to try and see (most) of the places and things you featured, especially the food!! and I hope to arrive in San Sebastian in one piece from Lourdes, France. LOL! Cheers to your awesome Basque series guys! So nice!
I'm trying to plan a trip to Spain for my Honeymoon. I want to see the traditional touristy spots but I'm also interested in visiting places I've never heard of. THANK YOU for these amazing videos I have to watch only a couple at a time because if not I start getting too excited. #stayingcurious
You did a good job describing the places you’ve been to. I’m Basque and I couldn’t explain it better myself. I also got excited when you visited the Baltzola Cave which is inone of my granny’s hometown: Dima. Pretty close from Urkiola. Another fun fact is the origin of the Arantzazu Sanctuary’s name: as you explained it the Virgin Mary appeared on a Hawthorne to a shepperd. Hence the name. He said in Basque: “Hain polita eta ARANTZAN ZU?” (So beautiful and yet you are on a Hawthorne?) In Spanish: “ ¿Tan bonita, y tú en el espino?”
Order an IPA... I know I'd do it too. Can take us out the West Coast, but can't take the West Coast out of us... Love the videos guys. Thanks from about halfway between Seattle and Vancouver.
You guys have some awesome editing skills! I love your videos and content and I love how you get your message across. Been watching for a while but this is my first time commenting. Keep up the good work!
"Then I get to places like this and I think I pooped my pants" 😂😂😂 I love it! Do you know what days you're going to be in Rotterdam? I live ten minutes away 😄 #SnapSquad
hi! I think your videos are really fantastic! you should come to Asturias too and go back to Catalonia to do more videos. one thing I would like to see more of is tips for budget travellers as well. that restaurant was sick but I would never have money to go there ;)
Yo, where have I been? I don't even know how I unsubed from this channel. I'm so glad to be back, missed a bunch of videos, I'm gonna binge watch for hours!
You should star this video with a text: warning you will be hungry in the end, no complaining :). I love this video. I think i am addicted to vagabrothers. Cool illness. hihihi
Eating a sad bagged salad as I watch this... what is life? I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford that place but I would love to go to the Basque country! Y’all already convinced me to take a mini road trip through Ireland this fall..y’all need to stop with all these awesome trips lol.
Sometimes eating salad out of a bag is the best way to save money for a trip! Basque Country is super fun and most restaurants will give you great food for a reasonable price. Most meals cost 1/10 the price of where we ate!
Hey guys! I'm from Ohio but I'm currently studying in Madrid. I'm doing a project on País Vasco and found this vlog. I'm assuming your parents are from the Basque country, but you guys have lived in the United States since very young?
Hey guys came over from Louis's Channel...I got halfway through the Channel trailer and clicked the subscribe button. THis Channel is so freaking AwesOOme....the Productions quality is like "tres tres Bon" So I'm like and Instant Fan....Hope to do a collab with you guys some day (When I start Traveling again.). And by the Major Food Porn in this video...lol
Which English-teaching program did you two go through in San Sebastián? I studied abroad in Spain last semester and am looking for a way to go back to live there for a little while longer :)
We went through a program called Auxiliares de Conversacion, which is a one-year scholarship available to native English speakers with a university education. No TEFL required. More info here: www.mecd.gob.es/eeuu/convocatorias-programas/convocatorias-eeuu/auxiliares-conversacion-eeuu.html
