Hello, everyone! Sorry some of the b-roll shots look like I'm an empty apartment with no lights setup...that's because I am. Btw my boots are the Goral Sharman boots and my parents are from Buck Mason (Larsen fit) SEE YOU (MUCH) SOON(ER).
I've been to each of these 48 of the contiguous states and Maine still stays up in the top 5 most beautiful. I wish you all the happiness and outdoor enjoyment out there.
@@TheIronSnail it's okay really!! just glad to hear that you're healthy and stuff! hope you two move out safely and smoothly! p.s. idk if it was intentional but on some parts I could hear your voice cracked when talking abt leaving NY which is really sweet(?)
Your opening is why I love used clothing; you can get quality pieces from interesting places for a fraction of the price. You can curate not only a wardrobe but a lifetime of stories. I am proud to say my Irish fisherman sweater is actually made in Ireland. I do have several PEI (our Maine?) made sweaters but they are made of 100% British wool on Swiss dubied knitting looms.
I bought a beautiful wool bedford shirt from SEH Kelly that I made sleeveless in order to fit me. I hope this kind of fabric will be available again in their biggest size.
A beautifully bittersweet video in line with the changing of the season. Can't wait to see what's in store for you in Maine and the release of the Billy Goat. Cheers!
Stop it, It's 2024 , hipsters will be cool in 10-15 years again, now you gotta dress like a skater from 1999, so get yourself some baggy jeans, frosted tips and go to flavortown

Brother I’ve been rewatching your videos over and over because of good they. Words can’t describe how happy I got seeing you on my notifications. Wishing you tremendous success
I’ve been Watching, you for two Years now, and I have to say Michael, you give me hope, what do I mean by that, I mean that Watching your relationship with Taylor Grow and with your Brand actually pushes me to have faith that things are gonna work out for me so thank you for that. And thanks for making me laugh out loud when you fell off the tree (sorry) and I got that exact same SEH Kelly Balmacaan last week! It’s incredible go buy your size!
I came across your channel in what started as a "the best" t-shirt rabbit hole. I like your content, but the way you film things is fantastic. You're an artist.
Thank you for continuing to to create fun content and take us on your travels. Prayers for the move and y’all. Also, I am so sorry but I could it help but replay the fall just a few times. The sound design was just…-insert pacha meme- perfect
4:20 the most graceful fall I've ever seen - It's like those chicks that take the plunge from a high cliff in the Sth Pole -bumping on the rocks on the way down, while Mamma waits. Only the strong & lucky survive. Long Live the Iron Snail.........We salute yo✊🤜🤛✊
Best of luck with the move, I lived in Portland Maine but now begrudgingly live in NY. I personally love Maine to pieces and visit often. Hopefully you find a welcoming home there!
Congrats on the move and looking forward to the Billy Goat! I have extremely sensitive skin and just recently started to look into wool clothes (Merino has been fine for me so far) so this is awesome timing.
Congrats on the move, sad to see a fellow New Yorker leave but excited for what’s to come! All the pieces were great! Can’t wait to see how you style them this fall and winter
I moved out of the country a few years ago, but have been eyeing the Division Shirt (In Rinsed Indigo Plaid) for some time now, and might get it when I head back to visit family in the Portland area in a couple of weeks. What a coincadink. TY for modeling it.
That Carhartt denim jacket is incredible. The proportions are nearly perfect. I really want a Storm Riders jacket too, but like you said, they seem to fit quite a bit longer than the standard Riders.
It’ll be a good move - Portland is great Be sure to try Js Oysters and find a good lobster pound for summer dinners. Excited to see how your style evolves after the move
Ahhhh I’m so sad and also so happy I didn’t randomly leave our Vessel hat on your NOT doorstep anymore. Good luck on your next journey! Cant wait for that “why invest in a wool blend” video I requested. Bon voyage to you and Taylor 🎉❤
Michael, I am SO excited for you as you move to Maine (in a totally healthy, non-parasocial way as someone who doesn't personally know you :D). What a cool change of pace. All the best to you and Taylor in your new adventure. Also, I may have to snag that new sweater of yours, I've been on the hunt for quality sweaters and yours may be just what I'm looking for!
Still would love that suit and pants video and recommendations for tuxedos as well ,there is an event coming up and i need info from my favorite metal gastropod!!!
As a Mainer and former Portlander (got priced out), let me bid you a very excited welcome to Maine! Oh man, I wonder if I'll get to see Kazeem at Portland Trading Company on the Iron Snail. That'd be wild.
Welcome back to New England! Glad to see SEH Kelly getting some love, the shirts/pants might be polarizing but it's hard to overstate how great a value their woolen coats are. Just got the Ulster from this season and it's absolutely nuts (I have their Peacoat too, A+ no notes on that one either).
How are you liking their Ulster? I am trying to decide between their donegal tweed ulster and another coat, never used a coat where the lining was partial and not all the way. Wondering if the partial lining compromises the shape or durability of the coat.
@niteshchauhan2645 It's much too warm to wear it outside so I've only tried it on, but it's unbelievably weighty and the side entry hand warmer pockets are what seal the deal for me. I actually prefer it to have minimal lining because it gives you the full benefits of wool without having a non-breathable synthetic in between that will inevitably develop tears.
As probably your only Irish watcher, I was pleasantly surprised to see Inis meáin mentioned. They have a reputation for being unreal knitwear and gained a lot of recognition for that last film with Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan in it. I believe a lot of the geansaí in that film were sourced from there. Fantastic, toasty warm pieces but they suffer from looking a bit too "old meáin" lol for a lot of people. Crazy pricing too. There are other companies based here that legit don't charge an arm and a leg for a jumper. Some cool picks for sure in your list though.
I got super excited when I got a pair of Filson flannel pajama pants in straight up lumberjack red/ black plaid from goodwill for $5. Turned out to have a small hole on the back leg which i just mended with a patch from a too small sweater a year after buying them. Looked up the pants this week, they're the Alaskan Guide Lounge bottoms, and they were $100 originally. Definitely super thick, heavy duty, cotton flannel but $100👀Love a thrift steal
You do give the vibe that you unironically would move to Maine. Enjoy the pine tree state and thanks for everything. Maybe you can thrift an OG Baxter State Parka to commemorate the occasion.
It's been like a week now that I discovered your channel.. again. Now subscribed so the channel wont get lost! Then proceeded to binge watch your videos again and again. It is an understatement to say that you are very entertaining while still being informative! I hope the move went wonderfully, to new adventures! Ps. The vest is awesome!
Man.... this video is so amazing. Fashion + storytelling. Plus the voicemail recording is like a cherry on top. Felt like I was in a Drake song lol. Keep up the good work man. I am loving it!
First time viewer here, I love the dynamic style of the video. I think buying used clothes on eBay is totally valid, not sure if it's thrifting but who cares. I'm a big fan of Holloway jackets with bright colours and eBay is full of those :D
You're going to love Portland Maine Michael. I'm a fellow New Yorker, I have spent a a fair amount of time in Portland for work purposes. I would love to move there if my situation allowed me to.
Hi there, great video ! Please take into consideration of doing a review video on a puffer vest/jacket from Rocky Mountain Featherbed! I do believe that it fits your style.
Columbiaknit and Columbia Sportswear are (confusingly) separate companies. They're still around and do all their manufacturing in Portland, Oregon. They mostly make beanies and rugby shirts now
After Maine Iron Snail needs to move to an abandoned Japanese Village/ town with the scarecrows very foresty and very mountainous. You always have the best and most vibrant colours in your videos
Micheal, I just thrifted a NWT pair of those Ralph Lauren Andrew pants! In the listing they looked black and were listed as such, so I was somewhat disappointed when I received them very much gray. My how we've been deceived... They fit like a dream though! Much love, -Alex

Shearling vest is what eastwood wears under the poncho in TG,TB, and TU. Great piece. Worth trying to make it work.
