Lore I decided to make-up on the spot (Fair warning, it's kinda long): He knew he shouldn't have. He knew he shouldn't have listen to Patrick. He and Patrick decided to be at the concert where Squidward was confident he would have his big break. He and Patrick were sure everyone would cheer and love Squidward's performance. However, the audience erupted into boos and hisses. Spongebob ask Patrick what everyone was doing, and Patrick thought they were all using tough love. Patrick told Spongebob to boo alongside everyone. A few days later, Spongebob realized that Squidward wasn't coming to work for a while. So, as soon as his shift ended, he went over to check on Squidward. The front door was locked, but Spongebob just used his finger as a makeshift key and walked inside. When he did, he nearly threw up because of the smell that went through the entire house. He thought that was weird, because Squidward would never have his house smell like this. Spongebob checked all over the house, looking for Squidward anywhere, while covering his nose because of the smell. The only place he didn't look was Squidward bedroom. As he entered Squidward's room, he found both Squidward and the source of the smell. He screamed at the sight of his friend laying on the floor, with a chunk of his head blown off. Later, as police entered Squidward's house collecting evidence, all Spongebob did was sit outside in complete and utter shock. He kept thinking "What would drive Squidward to do this? Why?" Just then a police officer threw away a book they deemed useless. Spongebob decided to grab said book from the trash and he quickly realized it was Squid's diary. He ran over to his house and started to read, desperately looking for answers. However, as he read, he noticed a theme. Squidward complained about Spongebob and Patrick. Then he got to the page dated on the same date that the concert was held. It read "I thought tonight would be my big break. I thought tonight would be the day I got the praise I so desperately deserve, but all I got was hatred. Even Spongebob and Patrick hated my work. Their boos hurt the most. If someone like Spongebob, who barely hates anything hated my magnum opus, then why even go on. Bikini Bottom better be ready, because this is the last song I will ever play." Spongebob was petrified. He was the reason Squidward's gone? No, he thought. Patrick was the reason to blame. If he didn't listen to Patrick, Squidward would probably still be with him. Just then the door of his pineapple open to reveal Patrick standing there. Spongebob, upon seeing the person he saw as the reason for Squidward's death, began to scream at him. He screamed and screamed until Patrick ran to his rock in tears. Spongebob screamed " YOU ARE NOT MY FRIEND ANYMORE!!!" and slammed his pineapple door shut. It was only then when he realized that his pet snail Gary was missing. While Spongebob qas yelling at Patrick, Gary was scared of his owner and decided to run over to Spongebob's grandma's house to calm down. Spongebob, believing that Gary was gone forever and finally feeling bad for yelling at Patrick, started to cry. He cried and cried for days, missing shifts at the krusty krab, and basically shutting himself off to the world. Eventually, he decided to personally meet up with Squidward again to apologize for everything, but before he could, he heard a knock at the door. Standing in front of him was what he thought was a fish with blue hair asking for to sing a song with him. Deciding to please one more fish he agreed. After the song was done, Spongebob SquarePants was no more then a pile of sponge bleeding on the floor. As BF left the now empty house, he passed by a blue snail with a pink shell strolling up to the house. "That snail's gonna be really sad" BF thought to himself as he left the scene.
Personally i don’t think SpongeBob would ever try to accuse anyone for such horrible thing He’d probably blame himself too much to the point of forgetting to feed Gary so Gary ran off
Well, think about it, in some Episodes he Get absolutely Torn apart, and Stays Alive, Meaning Shooting himself, Will either Bounce of Him, Get Absorbed, or Go Through him
