I love how Asgore is written here. How he tries to be as nice as possible, even making jokes in an attempt to calm down the "monster". Him thinking that the amalgam is a falling down monster wishing to see the barrier is just so... fitting. Him jumping in front of the amalgam to block Toriel's attack is also very in character of him. It also makes the ending so poetic, since when Asgore returns to see that the amalgam is gone, he'll just think that the "monster" passed away in peace, unaware of what actually happened. Flowey still keeping up the "I'll give you a happy ending" act while clearly being pissed off is great, too.
Exactly By the way, what do you think the reunion with everyone back home is going to be like for Frisk(we technically know frisk has a home since there’s an option to go back to it more or less in the pacifist ending) this time living in forest and becoming a Loch Ness monster maybe people trying to find a cure
@@Inlightofhistory-rl4ve Do you really think a slow moving amalgamate could make it home? The "Amalgam" would probably end up in a lab somewhere, as we humans usually study everything we don't know.
@@Inlightofhistory-rl4ve Just to make it clear, the time was clearly reset at the end so that ain't happening. Nobody can recognise Frisk anymore unless the amalgalms speak up themself. Alphys meanwhile is just gone. So yeah, there was no hope Frisk there other than a reset or a hard reset.
@@JQR. i thought he was taking longer because nobody else came like in the original pacifist route, yknow muffet, shyren, froggit and so mettaton, and i thought alphys offed herself...
Or it's probably after she let go of her past and mettaton doesn't seem like he's gonna leave Alphys, she actually was able to finish Mettaton's body after the repairs as she doesn't have the fear of him leaving her and her not getting sweaty about it when she wanna finish his body.
That was one of the rough ideas at the start, moved away from it as I kept making it, the amalgamates aren't weren't that malicious to monsters in truth when I looked into it
Honestly, the beginning of the battle with all the Amalgams would be horrifing. Just imagine hearing goopy monsters screaming in pain and attack you, while you try to spare most of them. One at a time. Infact it's kinda hopeless to fight back since all of them can't take damage. Except Snowdrake's Mother, but you need to alter the game itself to kill her. So you have to be good at dodging and sparing or you're toast. Infact. Even Frisk lost without Alphys coming, and even then it still ended up with you being asorbed into the Amalgams. So you'd die almost 100% ..Damn
Yeah, out of all the monsters in the game I feel like it'd also just make sense for their attacks to overlap in that broken way since they're already messed up as is... a̶n̶d̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶a̶t̶t̶a̶c̶k̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶e̶a̶c̶h̶ ̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶l̶o̶l̶
I mean... You can turn one spare endogamy with a hush puppy or stick, so you should do that turn two. Lemon Bread should be your main focus, as the rest are easier to handle. MEMORY HEAD is light work, and "," is tolerable. Snow momma is the easiest, or the hardest, depending on how they work.
@@Pudcup maybe, if everyone wasn't grouped together under one enemy for this it would be plausible to win-- Alphys would probably come into the room right after to send them off and events would of played the same for tpr had you survived
Since they are not really truly monsters they don't have an attack pattern, like the others. the attacking isn't even a pattern it's just one layer over the other just a one attack for one of them all into a mixed
Frisk: returning to parents or the orphanage Everybody: it’s some kind of abomination Aftermath: becomes known as a local legend like the Loch Ness monster
Y'know. For a second when Asgore finally realized why the amalgam came, I initially thought he was going to say that he thought the alamgam was gonna ask him to put it out of it's misery; It would've been doubly crushing since not only would he have ended up killing again, but it would've been one of his people asking for it.
I thought so too but I'm glad it didn't go that direction. It would've felt wildly out of character for Asgore to attack one of his subjects just because they asked him to (or, for that matter, just because they were too insistent on entering a room they're not allowed in, which is the other direction I thought it might go). I'm glad that it went the way it did instead, it was a really solid subversion of the normal sequence of events.
By taking in consideration the stats of the amalgams plus frisk with emmie armour we get... 999*3 defense from memoryheads+9999defense from lemon bread + 9999 defense from reaper bird + 999 defemse from endogeny and 100 from snowdrakes mother Yeah i don think they are dying any day this century
@joshuahancock7018 ypu forgot that the amalgams in game convert damage taken into hp, in fact the stronger you hit them the bigger their health bar becomes, in he code it doesn t actually happen... I think but is there to say, yeah no bro you can t kill this(exept snowdrakes mother) you actually have to remove that part of he code to emd the battle trough fight plus you need to do a gigantic amount of damage only reachable by modifying the code
A little bit of a rug pull there, yeah! While him asking to be taken out or fight you were some of the ideas rattling around early in, it just wouldn't make that much sense, for Asgore, like a comment above says, It'd be out of character to attack another monster just cause of intrusion or want to die at this moment, conversely the amalgams were never really malicious to monsters, in the end of true p, you see them coexisting with people, thus, a subversion was done here
15:57 - Woahhh I love the idea that Asgore has seen people destroyed by their own determination before. I'd never considered it but it makes sense - it happened to Undyne without any sort of injections or anything, and in Asgore's long life it's surely happened to others as well. That's really cool.
I love how you always manage to perfectly characterize the cast in your videos, these truly feel like real "what ifs" which I feel like a lot of fan-bases never hit, but each of your videos is truly a hit on the nail. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you! My bad for taking a bit to answer but, it does mean a lot, I'd like to think I've gotten a bit better at doing character dialogue ever since the first few initial videos
Considering the player theory as a possibility, does this mean that frisk would be braindead even after resetting due to their memories merging with the amalgamates, and that the true pacifist ending would become a "mindbroken pacifist ending" (sort of like the soulless pacifist ending) where frisk either collapses in front of toriel or frisk collapses after toriel leaves and the monsters who come through to their freedom get really worried about frisk (not choosing to live with toriel, and in both scenarios, the humans assume that the monsters just killed the 7th human soul and start a new war?
I think the player can still control the mob because they have more determination. Even then, Frisk is basically screwed over. They can only save and reset, but the moment they exit the Underground all of those abilities would be (theoretically) lost. If Amalgamates remember previous runs, they’ll be even MORE hostile to Frisk the next time they go to True Lab.
@@dylanzlol7293 No. If they can be straight up killed, then just come back in time, then they'd be completely fine. I mean, the trauma of experiencing that would still remain but the human would be fine.
@@newstickyanimations3956 to be fair the amalgamates do remember resets and reloads they have determination just that since they are locked down they never learn of frisk or what they do outside of pacifist ( One literally takes the form of a save file )
@@danielgonzalez-vm5lj I still don’t think that would be the end of Frisk and the Player. They were able to move because their *DETERMINATION* outmatched the amalgamates, allowing them to control the movement and head to the barrier. But their save files are lost and can be controlled by the other monsters. Even if The Player puts the blue key back, Frisk’s memories are shattered, so the lost souls in Asriel’s fight would be really hard and maybe even impossible.
Yes I agree. I think you have a knack for good writing. You should consider using your talents for other games, story boarding, etc.. It’s a very applicable skill. You could do some cool stuff with it!
Frisk: returning to parents or the orphanage Everybody: it’s some kind of abomination Aftermath: becomes known as a local legend like the Loch Ness monster
this is actually such an insanely cool concept!!! first of all the sprite work and animation are both amazingly done, it replicates tobys style while still looking great, and the story here is phenomenal, i loved every part of this (and all of your other videos too lol), great work :DDD
Thank ye! I was afraid I'd put too much detail on the front sprite at first, would've been harder to animate, but the amalgam thing basically being a blob defo helped make it easier, as for the story I just started making it up as I went along after the true lab area, been a while since I went without a script since like the few first videos so glad you still found it entertaining!
damn, this really hits different when goner kid's quote is taken into consideration > Everything functions perfectly without you... not only does asgore no longer recognize the human, the others also don't as well even the subtle feelings are on point, since the amalgamate does not show itself in front most of the time so it tries to make you think that a human in here doesn't exist
Glad you noticed that! It's something I wanted to invoke, all the characters still interacting with flowing off of each other easily even without you for the most part
Honestly, he didn't notice Frisk was a human in genocide, I wouldn't doubt he'll do the same here, he really isn't using his vision for this type of stuff. Probably using smell or sensing their mostly monster souls.
Idk how intentional this is, but the Undyne music at 22:05 only made me feel more tense knowing what Alphys probably did after the Frisk/Amalgamate left the lab.
YUndyne ending the life of alphys. What she created is an unforgivable abomination... That will completely destroy undyne's confidence in alphys@@newstickyanimations3956
This was an emotional roller coaster holy shit. The first part was genuinely horrific, even if the placement of Frisk did seem a bit funny after a while. The whole concept of these sad, broken monsters, seeing freedom for the first time in who knows long through you. Alphy’s reaction is also absolutely depressing, knowing the seriousness of the situation, and the events following neutral runs, the fact she didn’t show at the end was worrying enough. And Undyne’s reaction too, it’s like taking the perfect humor of Undertale and torturing with it. Of course she would think that, that’s the only rational decision. I have genuinely never thought something like this could ever be created, and you completely destroyed me in a single 30 minute video. Absolutely beautiful
@@mirraalex1752 I view it more as the Amalgamate still having enough of a mind left to have a little insurance policy in case Asgore somehow took them down. Only way to un-amalgamate yourself is to RESET.

I really like the model and how it moves slowly marking horror if the amalgamation actually escapes the lab. It scares me. This generally makes me wish we could have a playable fully fused amalgamation. It is terrible and sad how it moves and it scares me but it is terrifying to see this. Even ashore was concerned. And that worries me if it worries him.
Almost a weird pacifist ending(probably the amalgamate pacifist ending with the implications, making it rather unusual by comparison to most pacifist leaning endings)
Honestly one of the coolest concepts i've seen on this fanbase, period. If you want an idea for an next video...i would love to see your vision on an "What if Asriel won the pacifist battle", or something along those lines. Love your what ifs!
People always ask, "Why doesn't Frisk absorb Toriel's soul?" but never, "Why don't any monsters absorb Frisk's soul?" Do you need freaky deaky amalgamate powers to make sure the soul doesn't break?
Yes? Frisk is simply too determined and can easily load back to their save file. Monsters are just not nearly determined enough (Asgore literally had to kill every human over and over again until they'll give up entirely)
Simple frisk reloads when they die rendering any attempt useless unless they give up and stay dead The amalgamates absorbed their whole body while they were still alive
Frisk had to deteriorate while alive in order to properly get absorbed. The monsters had to melt a bit just to contain frisk and gain their soul. A single monster would have more than likely returned to their own form, but the amalgamates combined determination was probably too much for frisk, causing them to just combine with frisk. Any other monster could have done the same with enough determination, but otherwise, they would return back to their own form. And as Spamton says: My source is that i made it the fu(/ up
@@Inlightofhistory-rl4veActually, only Boss monsters seem to be able to properly absorb the human soul and be left intact. From some of the Asriel dialogues we learn that the human soul, when absorbed, gets full control over the powerful creature that emerges, because human souls are infinitely more powerful. Asriel, as a boss monster, managed to overcome the Chara's soul, but other monsters wouldn't stand a chance, and their souls will probably be showed away into the subconscious part. Knowing this, the king might've simply forbidden for the monsters to absorb any human souls.
Screamed when Toriel started blaming Asgore for Frisk not being there, LEAVE THAT MAN ALONE On a different note, this was such a refreshing what if! There's rarely any content revolving around the amalgamates, and making them interact with Asgore of all people was great! Perfect at showing everyone's character flawlessly and giving the goat some deserved screen time. But it is kind of saddening to imagine what the outcome would be for the main characters after finding out that the human just left the underground while fused with a bunch of monsters, probably leading to a second war
He killed 6 kids. He trapped them in jars for milennia...leaves them to rot and suffer in the darkness...their lives, GONE. Their families DEAD. Even if they escape, then what? Limbless, floating hearts...sox children with so much trauma...even if they go to the surface, its been FAR to long to find their families because milennia? Thousands of years? They have no bodies, they cant go to the afterlife because the undergrounds magic has kept them for too long...those poor kids...FUCK ASGORE.
I really like this concept! I imagine there could be some sort of New Game+ mode with this, where when you RESET all of the monster souls fuse with Frisk's and Frisk becomes some kind of strange monster hybrid, unlocking lot's of new dialogue, new routes, etc. Hrmm, if I had the time I'd write a fanfic about it.
Basically the worst neutral/false pacifist ending. It's kinda sad to see that frisk just stand there and watch the barrier forever. At least they had friends to stay with. 😢 Cool story btw!:}
I would even call this a failed pacifist similar to what happens if you don’t do any of the hangouts or don’t go to the true lab before heading to Asgore
I would say that this is the best ending for everyone, since Asgore is still alive, the amalgams can finally be outside and Alphys don't necessarily killed themselves (and more if Undyne and Papyrus somehow comes at time and save her). However, you know for who this ending sucks? For Frisk. This is the WORST ending possible for Frisk, since they are literally suffering forever (unless they use a true reset).
@@skell6134They aren’t saying it’s not a neutral ending, they’re correcting the other guy who said Frisk was just standing there watching the barrier forever, because they didn’t, they crossed it.
1. It seems as if the friskmalgamate is struggling bewteen player control and the monsters's, especially since they ignore the final save point and dont seem to react or talk whatsoever. 2. What happens if you win the battle? Assuming you use the stick to make this much easier and use the notebook and the temmie armor, i feel like it would be possible to win that battle.
I don't think winning the battle is possible because there's really no achievable win condition. You obviously can't defeat the amalgamates, and many of the ACT options you normally need to spare them are missing.
So on my screen, the thumbnail was cut off on the left, so it looked like "what if Alphys didn't top the amalgams" and I'm not sure how to feel about that frankly
Omg this is peak, of all the things you could expand on, i never expected this, is great I have the feeling if this scenario was thought of an au in like 2015 or something, they'll make it the edgiest possible, making the amalgams attack asgore or something
Nah, if this was made in 2015, the author would make the friskmalgamate attack sans in the corridor and have sans curbstomp them and either take frisk's soul to asgore or separate the souls with some gravity power bullshit and have frisk hug sans thanking him while he's like "heh, you're welcome kid."
It's not like human can actually melt together with monsters/amalgamates. Monsters body made mostly of magic, which is the reason their bodies melt because of determination. Humans bodies made mostly of water, their bodies can take as much determination as they born with.
I think they also hide Frisk in purpose because I don't know about you, but I'd be damn suspicious of some yellow looking pokerface in a white monster. And I mean for those that know actually have seen and known Frisk
This is one of the few pieces of media that made me feel something in a long time. Even when I tried to understand Asgore's struggles, I never truly believed he could face such burdens. I just felt sorry for the old man. It is impressive what you just did here it was such a small change that grew so fast into what could be known as finality or fatality. The only thing I could have hoped to see was a call like any other neutral ending but outside that amazing work.
Dang, glad I was able to reshape your view of a character like that, since he's facing a 'monster' in his eyes, he acts differently, I guess you do see another side to him here
God this is so good. I do have to admit i giggled every time i saw frisks goofy face in the amalgam. But this is so well written and in character, and the custom sprites look great as well! And fit perfectly with the rest of the normal in-game sprites.the soul crushing realisation that they arent gonna find either the human or alphys is so good. And i really like how the amalgam waited until everyone had left to pass through the barrier. Amazing work man, keep up the great work!
Theorically speaking, this is the best ending for everyone but not for Frisk. Since now Frisk must suffer endlessly. Like, for you to know more or less how much is the gravity of the situation, is basically Frisk always suffering, not only in this timeline, but likely ALSO after a reset or any kind of death. Since they didn't died, but their body literally merged with one another. So, if Frisk tried to reload their save, then it would not change anything. They would still be fused with the amalgams. Forever. ... unless... True Reset. A True Reset. The power of using your *entire* determination to erase even the people memories and events. This. This is the ONLY way for Frisk being themselves again. However, I'm not sure if that, in exchange, would kill these amalgams of this timeline. And even then, maybe a little of them would still be inside Frisk body.
I don't think it's the best ending for everyone because considering what Alphys did in some other neutral routes and the fact that she didn't show up at the end, I don't think it ended up too well for her either.
I don't know if its possible really depends on how you assume the amalgames and reloads work Do the amalgamates get their save files as a composite being does the being with the most DT inside them get control ? If its the first option sorry but NOTHING except flowey getting the SOULs which we know is not happening could split frisk they would become one with the amalgamates and its control of the timeline would begin the moment frisk merged If its the second option a regular reload would be enough
@@danielgonzalez-vm5lj I didn't understood at all what you tried to mean with this, but I'm going to try to answer it the best that I can. Yes, the being with most determination is the only one who haves control of the save points and resets, evidenced by the fact that Flowey could in the past (before Frisk fall) do these things, even when the amalgams already existed before him or heck, even when undyne probably also existed before them. Yet, does undyne sometime confessed to us that she could do those things on the past? Or that she had any knowledge about that? No, never. And that's because she and the amalgams couldn't. Because Flowey had more determination than all of them. So, following this logic, yes, Frisk can totally use their save points and reset all what he wants without any kind of interferences from the other souls of the amalgams, since their determination isn't strong enough to match Frisk determination (Frisk is literally the most determined being on the entire underground, so determined, that Flowey lost that power. Flower, that i should remind, had more determination than undyne and the amalgams together). And no, a single reload wouldn't change anything. Since they're already merged to Frisk BODY and soul. So, if Frisk teleports back to the past, to their last moment before merging together, he would also be teleporting the amalgams souls to that moment before. That's why I'm saying that a True Reset is the only possibility for Frisk to being himself again. And I'm not sure about Flowey with the six human souls being able to fix them, i mean, maybe it would be possible, but I'm not entirely sure about it (more than nothing because I don't remember pretty much about how flowey with the humans souls works).
ok but how would you true reset only way to do that is by making it through a true pacifist route and you can't do that with like 11 amalgamates fused to you
@@theguyatgamestop that's how it works in the game, yeah. But in universe, theorically speaking, Frisk could use a true reset whenever they want, is just that, strangely, Frisk don't always do that. And the only time that they do it is after a successful pacifist (for some reason). Maybe is something related with determination or something, since Pacifist!Frisk looks more determined than ever (shown as how in the asriel fight they refuse to die and can even use the SAVE button). Which, taking into account that amalgams ALSO haves determination, then is completely possible for Frisk to do a True Reset (if that's how the nature of true reset works, of course).
Ok, Asgore is written beautifully here! I love how you keep his cowardly, pacifistic nature entact! It's rare to see an AU do him so well, so I applaud you for it!! (Also, the doorisdiction joke was horrible lol)
Just wanna say that you've always delivered 5 start fillet migon with every video you've put out. There's never been a single moment where ive questioned your contents quiality, or though it definitely couldve been better- youve always just put out banger, after banger, after banger. Genuinely, some of the best fancontent the undertale fandom has ever seen.
@ViniciusDiasissy @Noone29472 i got an idea: frisk absorbs asgore's soul (accurate to how the "almost genocide" ending had frisk and flowey team up and the "almost pacifist" had frisk "team up" with the amalgamates, so there's certainly a pattern we can base the almost neutral ending of) and crosses the barrier, maybe you get the chance to speak with asgore and decide if you'll go get the 7th human soul in the surface and bring it to the underground or simply abandon the underground to go back home
Whenever I see a video of yours in my recommended I click it as fast as when a cat sprints down the hallway after they hear a can a food being opened from across the house.
I like how all of this was set up like an actual undertale secret ending kinda wish that we still gotten the Sans phone call at the end where he explains how the underground is doing but this time he's actually confused somewhat
This video is CERTAINLY a lot more different then the others. Personally I like the way you wrote asgore and the new expressions and portraits given for alphys and asgore are great. I really like just how unapologetically creepy and frankly disgusting this... Thing is. Every single pose and frame has something unsettling to it from eyes to smiles that really represents the horror in undertale, with the amalgamates. Super excited for what you have in mind next. If you would like a suggestion or two still one could be "What if Toriel didn't save you" (As in flowey kills you at the start of the game), one could be "What if papyrus succesfuly captured you", triggered by waiting in the doghouse for a certain amount of time, and a third could be "What if monster kid didn't stop Undyne" (This has to do with that one scene in waterfall where Undyne has you cornered, almost captures you only for Monster Kid to intervene as the encounter is about to begin).
Thank you! Nice that you enjoyed my little face sprite edits of asgore and alphys, it was really just quick eye and mouth mixing and matching but I'm especially proud of how asgore's quick head down sprite turned out-- same with the amalgamates haha, the side profiles were plenty fun to draw for it I'm probably gonna try to finish buddy route's chapter 1 this year before the new chapters come out, I know you've heard me drivel on about it for almost a year and a half but this'll be it, I swear 😭 Ohh and some your suggestions I'd definitely save after the fact, the big one I've had on my mind was the papyrus shed one, since undyne would probably appear to haul you off to the King, a lot of unique but complicated moving parts there, same withe the flowey getting your soul thing, half of me just wants to say you'd reload back in the previous room if he did kill you though I do feel like for the mk saves you from undyne one, she'd just kill you on sight when she catches you, but hey, maybe I can wrangle a few ideas out of it when I sit down and think about it better
This is easily one of the best takes for an AU for a hell of a while, and I really hope that more things like this are explored as opposed to more Sans clones.
the amalgamates are the creepiest and saddest part of the game yet theyre so underrated i love this concept so much i feel like at the ending frisk would have been seperated from the other monsters, and the other monsters just died off, so technically asgore would be right poor undyne and papyrus are gonna have a "gently opened the door" moment while also figuring out what alphys was doing at the same time...
Yikes, Toriel directly attacked the Amalgam without a second thought (Asgore had to move into the way to protect them) and didn't even apologize at the end.
Amazing work! This would be a fantastic neutral route if it were real. I can already imagine the hype if Toby added something like this to the game I like the fact that this video gives us more dialogues with Alphys and Asgore
I love the detail the frisk doesn’t really…amalgamate. Oh, there in there all right, but it looks more like they or more “in there” than “a part of there”, which I find absolutely hilarious 😂
Love the characterization here. It all feels exactly right. I like the idea that the Barrier is endless on the inside. It feels strange and magical, which is very fitting. After how the Amalgamates prevented Frisk's death, I was a little afraid they would be unable to access their SAVE file. I'm glad that didn't happen. Lovely piece of fan art/fiction. You've reminded me to work on my own.
Yeah! I've always scene the barrier as an infinite corridor, at least on the inside with how it's presented, no matter how much you walk you wouldn't make distance, but that's just headcannon from me along with other stuff Glad to hear I inspired you I guess, haha, may i ask what are you working on?
Absorbed soul, Cannot cry, For they simply aren’t just one mind, Fallen child, Cannot run, Won’t they want to have their fun?, Fallen child, Cannot Feel, Felt the need to exert their will, Fallen child, Cannot spare, For no-one sees you or cares, Fallen child, Cannot Fight… But this isn’t your first time… Right?
Insanely good writing-- there's only three things I think could've been better, and they're the most negligible of nitpicks. 1) The pacing of the video feels really slow with how slow the player moves 2) There's a spelling error where Asgore says saftey instead of safety 3) Sans' lines feel stiff and out of character with how he introduces himself as "sans the skeleton" exactly the same way he does when you first meet him I cannot emphasize enough how spot on the other characters and fan-made sprites are, though. The rest genuinely feels like Toby Fox's writing and spritework. Great job!!!!!!!!!
i love this concept so much i never wouldve thought of this as someone who wants to do pixel/sprite animation eventually (i probably wont be doing traditional undertale animations though, but related to undertale) but anyway i especially love the characters reactions to all this, the alphys reaction is genuinely sad and i already knew what was implied after alphys finished her dialogue...its so sad that undyne will probably find out as well but also so interesting and i love the flowey portion because even he is suprised at this outcome, and toriel's blame to asgore makes sense but also i feel bad for asgore, this wasnt his fault at all i think maybe there can be something about flowey in the true lab in the future? its alright if not i will still watch whatever you have planned for future videos because i love these what ifs and how fascinating and interesting they are
I love these what-if scenarios, it really has me brainstorming more ideas to expand upon. It would be interesting to see if: "What if Papyrus finds out about Flowey's motivations" in True Pacifist. Starting off, When Frisk enters the lab itself, Papyrus (& Undyne) wont respond as Papyrus would be focused on bringing everyone to the barrier, but when the protagonist reads about how Flowey is soulless, Frisk then calls Papyrus again to tell him about it and he picks up. Yeah I can see and agree with that for the most part, it was probably the biggest stretch in the whole thing but I needed something to kick everything off at the start
Although if you think about it, Frisk here is being a barely conscious corpse, they works like the same as the others, but visually we see them as normal, since well, it is their corpse
its kind of horrifying. the face of this kid just looks outward from a twisted mass of monster they have no control over, slowly inching its way to the barrier because that's all it has left. Frisk is gone, now it's just this amalgamized mass of souls. Really reminds of what happens to Ted from "I have no mouth and I must scream".
Finally, some good horror AU Amalgamates are terrifying, that's obvious. To make them unstoppable is even scarier. Nice job, very nice I've always loved amalgams' theme, cool remix!
I don't think amalgamates can absorb humans because they aren't made of magic, but it's funny imaginig Frisk just trapped and chilling, and just mildly uncomfortable, not a big deal being trapped inside of thousands of amalgamates
They probably tried to use Frisk's mass to stabilize each other, considering that determination melts monsters due to them being made of magic, which is much lighter than matter.
As the amalgamates move towards the barrier, it seems that Frisk is starting to "melt" little by little, so since it's magic, why can't it melt a person, right?)
this unexpectedly fits main idea actualy , good animation for such scenario but maybe idea of amalgamates immediatly absorbing you bit too much forward like maybe we could spare them just like any other monster battle?
Thanks! I tried thinking of a lot of ways to change the way the story plays if you spared them, but no matter how I sliced it, Alphys would come in right after, send them away and things would just go back to how they normally are in true pacifist, its definitely very 'out there' though, I get it

The writing is so consistent, which I really appreciate.
Exactly
By the way, what do you think the reunion with everyone back home is going to be like for Frisk(we technically know frisk has a home since there’s an option to go back to it more or less in the pacifist ending) this time living in forest and becoming a Loch Ness monster maybe people trying to find a cure

0:26 I love the "Sure???" option, as if the narrator is like 'bro what're you doin'??'

@Shark_036 he probably mightve been able to do damage if he used the human souls, but knowing asgore he probably never would
@joshuahancock7018 ypu forgot that the amalgams in game convert damage taken into hp, in fact the stronger you hit them the bigger their health bar becomes, in he code it doesn t actually happen...

Thank you! My bad for taking a bit to answer but, it does mean a lot, I'd like to think I've gotten a bit better at doing character dialogue ever since the first few initial videos
Also the idea of the amalgams absorbing Frisk's memories when they're consumed is genius

@@danielgonzalez-vm5lj I still don’t think that would be the end of Frisk and the Player. They were able to move because their *DETERMINATION* outmatched the amalgamates, allowing them to control the movement and head to the barrier. Even if The Player puts the blue key back, Frisk’s memories are shattered, so the lost souls in Asriel’s fight would be really hard and maybe even impossible.

Any monster that absorb the human soul would immediately become even stronger than The King potential speaking
Simple frisk reloads when they die rendering any attempt useless unless they give up and stay dead
The amalgamates absorbed their whole body while they were still alive

And i really like how the amalgam waited until everyone had left to pass through the barrier. Amazing work man, keep up the great work!

6:26 I love the detail of the amalgamation repeating the word "outside" when alphys says it.
I don't know if its possible really depends on how you assume the amalgames and reloads work
Do the amalgamates get their save files as a composite being does the being with the most DT inside them get control ?
If its the first option sorry but NOTHING except flowey getting the SOULs which we know is not happening could split frisk they would become one with the amalgamates and its control of the timeline would begin the moment frisk merged
If its the second option a regular reload would be enough
And I'm not sure about Flowey with the six human souls being able to fix them, i mean, maybe it would be possible, but I'm not entirely sure about it (more than nothing because I don't remember pretty much about how flowey with the humans souls works).
ok but how would you true reset
only way to do that is by making it through a true pacifist route and you can't do that with like 11 amalgamates fused to you
@@theguyatgamestop that's how it works in the game, yeah.
This is genuinely filling me with a mix of shocking emotions! Amazing work!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Funny, we had a "almost geno" route last video, and now we have a "almost pacifist" route here.
And the geno route was more wholesome than this.
Both vids also had frisk team up with someone else in a way, like frisk fusing with the amalgamates and frisk teaming up with flowey lol
Oh yeah lol, it's been opposite day
We need a almost neutral ending
@@Noone29472 and what would that be? Flowey winning? Frisk stopping Asgore from killing himself? Something else?
@ViniciusDiasissy @Noone29472 i got an idea:
frisk absorbs asgore's soul (accurate to how the "almost genocide" ending had frisk and flowey team up and the "almost pacifist" had frisk "team up" with the amalgamates, so there's certainly a pattern we can base the almost neutral ending of) and crosses the barrier, maybe you get the chance to speak with asgore and decide if you'll go get the 7th human soul in the surface and bring it to the underground or simply abandon the underground to go back home
"either you'd just die or spare the Amalgamates"
Merg: *What's up, guys?*
Whenever I see a video of yours in my recommended I click it as fast as when a cat sprints down the hallway after they hear a can a food being opened from across the house.
Damn that was oddly specific, thank... you??? Yeah, thank you!
I like how all of this was set up like an actual undertale secret ending kinda wish that we still gotten the Sans phone call at the end where he explains how the underground is doing but this time he's actually confused somewhat
I wonder where the amalgamates store the phone?)
Thank you! Nice that you enjoyed my little face sprite edits of asgore and alphys, it was really just quick eye and mouth mixing and matching but I'm especially proud of how asgore's quick head down sprite turned out-- same with the amalgamates haha, the side profiles were plenty fun to draw for it
I'm probably gonna try to finish buddy route's chapter 1 this year before the new chapters come out, I know you've heard me drivel on about it for almost a year and a half but this'll be it, I swear 😭
Ohh and some your suggestions I'd definitely save after the fact, the big one I've had on my mind was the papyrus shed one, since undyne would probably appear to haul you off to the King, a lot of unique but complicated moving parts there, same withe the flowey getting your soul thing, half of me just wants to say you'd reload back in the previous room if he did kill you though
I do feel like for the mk saves you from undyne one, she'd just kill you on sight when she catches you, but hey, maybe I can wrangle a few ideas out of it when I sit down and think about it better
I came across this channel by accident and didn’t regret it!
That part with the amalgams slowly moving through the castle city with the quotes and the music was the best part, holy shit

I like the fact that this video gives us more dialogues with Alphys and Asgore

Insanely good writing-- there's only three things I think could've been better, and they're the most negligible of nitpicks.
1) The pacing of the video feels really slow with how slow the player moves
2) There's a spelling error where Asgore says saftey instead of safety
3) Sans' lines feel stiff and out of character with how he introduces himself as "sans the skeleton" exactly the same way he does when you first meet him
I cannot emphasize enough how spot on the other characters and fan-made sprites are, though. The rest genuinely feels like Toby Fox's writing and spritework. Great job!!!!!!!!!
i love this concept so much i never wouldve thought of this as someone who wants to do pixel/sprite animation eventually (i probably wont be doing traditional undertale animations though, but related to undertale)
but anyway i especially love the characters reactions to all this, the alphys reaction is genuinely sad and i already knew what was implied after alphys finished her dialogue...its so sad that undyne will probably find out as well but also so interesting
and i love the flowey portion because even he is suprised at this outcome, and toriel's blame to asgore makes sense but also i feel bad for asgore, this wasnt his fault at all i think
maybe there can be something about flowey in the true lab in the future? its alright if not i will still watch whatever you have planned for future videos because i love these what ifs and how fascinating and interesting they are
Yes, as long as Fish doesn’t decide that the man killed Alphys... it would be a shame
I love these what-if scenarios, it really has me brainstorming more ideas to expand upon. It would be interesting to see if:
"What if Papyrus finds out about Flowey's motivations" in True Pacifist.
I can imagine how some of the dialogue would go:
["Hello human!"]
["It is I, the GREAT Papyrus..."]
["You're gonna love this!"]
["A tiny flower has asked me to invite all my friends to The King's Garden..."]
["...To throw a big party of course!"]
["..."]
["Why, you may ask?"]
["The flower says they're going to break the barrier!"]
["Human, I can't express how grateful I am!"]
["I told everyone how we will be giving Asgore the biggest surprise of his life!]
["..."]
["Hm..."]
["The flower?"]
["No... that can't be right."]
["..."]
["Well, it is strange to say the least..."]
["A tiny flower, who I've never met before, asks me to do just that..."]
["How could I say no to that?"]
["..."]
["Alright."]
["I will alert the others."]
["Thanks human!]"
I know some of the dialogue is flawed, but I wanted to give a general idea on how this could potentially play out.
Oh, yeah! I could see the gist of what you're trying to say-- it'd probably be harder to convince him that flowey isn't the best influence since they have a whole established friendship *before* the events of the game, still I could see it!

4:24 I kinda find it hilarious how Frisk is still just blankly staring here
Although if you think about it, Frisk here is being a barely conscious corpse, they works like the same as the others, but visually we see them as normal, since well, it is their corpse
its kind of horrifying. the face of this kid just looks outward from a twisted mass of monster they have no control over, slowly inching its way to the barrier because that's all it has left.
