Today we are going to go over how to get a cheap sensor panel for your gaming PC. In this video we'll talk about the hardware you need to get something like what you saw in the intro for your PC, then we will see some possible ideas of installation and a final look at the software required for managing the device.
Adding a display in your PC will obviously help for 2 things, one it improves the overall esthetics of your build, 2 you have multiple real time information on the load and temperatures of your PC components.

You mentioned you connected the cable to a free USB port at the back of the PC. When your PC goes to sleep or if you turn off the computer, do you get a "No signal" continuously on the screen? I would prefer not to enable ErP in the bios as I still want to Power_on_by_mouse. Thanks!
No I never get that error. If my PC goes in stand by mode, the screen stays on kindof "frozen" and when my PC is resumed , the values are dinamucally changing as prior to the standby mode . No errors at all

Yes thats what i explain in the video. All the other displays that work with aida64 for example they require an additional HDMI cable, this one doesn't

Nope since as i explain in the video there is no HDMI here. You need a USB + HDMI for aidayr capable screens, this one only requires one USBC connection

It was made for this screen, maybe it works for others with same resolution, you should test this

Not this one, this is just a USB display, you need to purchase one of those with USB AND HDMI in order to use it as second screen and run on it whatever you want

Ciao friend! Just a question - did you check what performance drop does this monitor cause? I've read that for some people it eats up around 5% of CPU.

Did u try to run it as admin ? Try also dialing the antivirus it's a false positive

Hi as i explain in the video this is not compatible with Aida, you need the screens with HDMI. Fps and fan speed i don't think are possible .

Does the software have to be running in the background all the time or can you click on X and come out of it?
Yes all the time since it's that software is also doing as monitoring software so if you close it you don't get any values

When i try and run the UsbMonitor.exe as administrator i just get an error saying “Start ErrorCould not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.Win32.TaskScheduler…..blah blah blah. Any ideas? 🙏

Sorry never got that error, try to run SFC on your windows, maybe something is missing or corrupted. Try also to open as admin the file while antivirus is disabled
question how do you hook it up to the pc inside the case when the usb connections are on the outside of the case?

If you look at my case (Thermaltake a500) there is an opening for showing the PSU model, so I simply placed it there and it's steady
The cable will simply go Tru one of the PCI slot covers which I removed so it can be connected to the USB port of the motherboard. You might also use an internal USB if your moderboard has one

Yes thats what I show in the video. Plug the cable and run the software as admin, i dindt test on old pcs but it should work anyway
What are your thoughts a year later! Are you still using this display?
Yes everyday, very useful during gaming sessions or rendering so I can monitor temps and loads. Obviously the gadgets and customizations are quite limited but that's normal for a non HDMI device
How do you connect the usb cable if places inside the case?
You just leave one of the back covers open so that the cable goes from inside the case to the back of your computer

@@Badoumdass cannot confirm it works with a SATA to usbc adapter, remember there needs to be enough power as this display only has one cable for both power and data
Does the USB-C closer to the center work the same as the edge connector?

Unfortunately i couldn't find any reference to that anywhere so I guess it's something used for developers?
@@fgtechtips yea and I don't have a USB C cable that even can fit since the port is so close to the backing.. I did get mine up and running with one of the stock backgrounds.

I don't know, the download links I provided work fine. Maybe they are blocked with a firewall in your case?

I installed mine, it displays incorrect cpu and incorrect gpu how do I get it to display what I have?
I have compared the display values with hwinfo64 and they match perfectly so it's reliable to me, what are u using ?

è posibile sostituire (ad esempio) la % dell'uso CPU con la velocità della ventola? insomma ci sono tutti i sensori e si possono scegliere? o la personalizzazione in realtà è scarsa e bisogna scegliere tra i vari temi predefiniti potendo cambiare solo un paio di colori e una scritta?
I sensori sono quelli che trovi nei vari temi, puoi modificare interamente la ui facendotela te e personalizzare foto e nome dei componenti come da mio video ma non hai un livello di personalizzazione che avresti per esempio con un pannello Aida 64. Il bello di questo è che è compatto e funziona solo con un usbc, senza bisogno di hdmi
@@fgtechtips Infatti mi sono interessato proprio perchè ci vogliono meno cavi ed è bello non averlo come monitor su cui si sposterebbe il mouse, però mi servono determinati sensori tipo le temperature (e questo penso sia scontato) ma anche la velocità delle ventole (CPU, GPU, e quelle del case collegate alla scheda madre)..si possono vedere? se si, si vedono in percentuale o in RPM?
No come dicevo è basic puoi vedere solo quello che mostro in video

Is the Chinese software they use to monitor actually safe? Some say its malware. How light is it vs aida64 method
yes it is a false positive. Aida is much more complex to setup
You didn't mention if you can connect the USB-C cable internally to the motherboard or not. Also Where did you connect the USB-C to the PC????
hi the USB is a normal USB, it's a USBc only on the display but it ends as normal USB connector so obviously you can connect it anywhere you like, also on the motherboard if you have a USB port on your motherboard (which i haven't). i simply connected it to one of the USB 3.2 ports i have at the back of my pc

Schermo installato e tutto funziona benissimo con il suo software, ma una volta che riavvio il PC lo schermo ritorna bianco e, se non riavvio il suo software in modalità amministratore ogni volta che riaccendo il PC e clicco sul pulsante RUN, lo scermo all'accensione del PC rimane bianco... C'è un modo per fare avviare lo schermo con le impostazioni inserite sul suo software quando accendo il PC?
Devi solo creare un collegamento all'exe del programma e nelle proprietà in compatibility devi flaggare run as admin

Once again, as explained in the video this is a USB monitor not a USB+HDMI monitor which would work as normal monitor. So no it just works as sensor panel. Background wallpapers you can put anything you like as u can also see from my video

They would be independent anyway since the software doesn't support multiple screens
That's my goal. I want them to be connected @ the same time while running independent. So that I could monitor different sensors on different screens...

I don't know, the link still works fine for me. It must be an issue on your side, it's a rar file so you need a software able to support that file extension

You might have to uninstall and install English version

Honestly i never experienced this issue, it's working fine since day 1. Did you disable the antivirus? Are you running the software in admin mode? Did you try asking the seller ?

Did you download & extract the software I posted ? Theres no driver needed, just plug the USB cable to one of the main ports of your mobo. The device is detected in Windows as a serial device: USB serial device (COM7), that's what windows device manager says

You just have to download the software from my link, open it as administrator and connect the USB to one of the main motherboard USB ports

No it is quite limited, with Aida 64 you can configure anything but you would need a display with both USB and HDMI, this one just works with usb3 so it's more simple and compact

Hi as mentioned in my video this is NOT an aida64 panel, it misses the hdmi port but it's compact and works just with an usbc port

No once you turn on the PC the screen turns on, when you shut down your PC the screen will go off. Simple

No this is not for Aida 64 since it doesn't have an HDMI port, this just works with 1 cable: usbc
Hi, I understand in the default configuration the display is not working witht Aida 64. However I had an old PC with an serial to USB LCD display from crystalfontz. And this one wokred flawless with Aida 64. So maybe I can get this dispaly running with Aida 64 (if I can decode the USB communication).
Hi as far as I know all modern LCD working with Aida64 require an HDMI port + a USB one, as this one is missing a video port it's not aida64 compatible

Yes one of the main USB ports at the back of the motherboard, i mean don't use a USB hub or the usb ports of your case.

Error 43 in windows is quite generic, could be related to some outdated/corrupted drivers in your system. Did you update already your motherboard and USB drivers to the latest ?
