I was torn about the monitoring screens, but this one really appeals to me. The fact that there is no modding to do to make it look nice, the fact that it does not use an HDMI port, the native support for AIDA64. It's really well thought out

You can probably deal with the fingerprint issue by buying a matte/paperlike screen protector and cutting it down to size. This thing looks pretty great, wasn't expecting it from GSkill
I've been waiting for ages for someone to come out with a monitoring screen that just uses a USB-C cable instead of having to dedicate an hdmi port to it.
The only problem I see right now, besides the fact that it doesn't come with a license or rebate for AIDA64, is that I can't find it anywhere for sale :)

I did try using an old tablet but the software isn't quite there yet. Of course if this thing comes out in Canada close to $200 it will also be a non starter if it's this slow to manipulate...
@@vesolcableIs the SHIFT key stuck? Do you know that a tablet or phone isn't the solution either? Firstly, it fails due to the right software and secondly, it's not a clean solution either.

Cool product. I'm currently using an old phone for monitoring my system. Aida64 also have a web server that can be used as a LCD. So all you need is an old phone with web browser and that's how you can have a cheap HW monitoring.

sounds likea better idea then this. The built quality of this looks poorly designed. Phones/tablets in general are much better to clean and in build quality.

For anyone wandering in Aida64 under LCD it has a "Remote Sensor" setting. Open a web browser on any device or any kind and type in the IP for the system that is running Aida64 on and it will display. Phone/Tab/Mac/Pc ANYTHING that can display html.
This is pretty cool, I could see using this for streaming, music, movies loading up things for the stream etc. 130 bucks isn't to bad for that and it does give you alot of functions and possibilities. Aida 64 support is just icing on the cake.

I like the fact this is an external usb device and not connected by hdmi/dp and recognized as a separate display. I’m definitely interested in picking one up. I think for single monitor display set ups this could be helpful for sure.
There is a bug in Aida64 that prevents it from reporting CPU usage properly on 10th gen Intel. They implemented a workaround, but it broke the sensor panel graphs and isn't guaranteed to be accurate anyway.

These extra screens taking up an HDMI port has always been a deal breaker for me for those same reasons, but also because I'm always running out of ports anyway. That said, with monitors getting bigger and better, and keyboards more versatile, I don't really feel the need for these devices as much anymore. But there are still use cases for them, so it's nice to see them evolve in the right direction.
Wow! Super cool, I currently use a second screen to monitor the system, and this panel will fit like a glove for my setup, I hope it doesn't take too long to arrive in Brazil. 👑
Looks like a good solution, currently running a third LCD screen with Aida64 and as noted some games (especially older ones) get wacky with the resolution and it's a bit of a pain. Having USB C is very nice and the touch screen is just an add on over that.
I've been a long time GOverlay user. Something similar to this. But as you mentioned, setting it is very time consuming,it does come with presets and other users post their setups which you can import.
I ended up buying the corsair nexus to use as my panel and so far it shows basic enough info that I wanted to see so I'm good. It was also only $50 so I'm pleased enough with it.
Seriously this is almost exactly what I have wanted, a good info display that doesn't require an video signal and works with USB. The price is a bit high for what you get but I hope we see more competitors to this.

Seems like a real cool product, I like the idea more than using a small 2nd monitor for monitoring purposes.
I've been looking for an affordable USB only screen to use as a sensor panel for a couple of years now. I think this one might be it. 👍
At $130, that's a hard sell vs a Streamdeck which has many more options for customization through their plugin marketplace. The only real thing you gain here is having a non-segmented screen which admittedly does help a lot for that Aida64 integration.
This is a different use case than a Streamdeck. If you need the Streamdeck, you need the Streamdeck. I wouldn't cross-shop the two things. But I would definitely buy both.
@@spdcrzy Why's that? It's just a customizable screen with buttons. Just because it's marketed towards streamers doesn't really mean there aren't other uses for it. There's even an HWinfo addon available (not one for AIDA though.)
If you only need a USB panel supported by AIDA64, there are alternative options available such as BeadaPanel which is less expensive than WigiDash

Excellent, this is something that I wanted. But I wish they’d make a non-touch version for a cheaper price.
It is nice. Fully configured with Ada64 the price compares to Aquacomputer Aquaero. It too works with Ada64 and HWINFO, but it has it's own system integration with Aquasuite. I have the touch screen version of aquaero w/remote. I primarily use the remote if I want to access something on the screen. Otherwise my 2nd monitor displays aquasuite full screen. The remote also can control pc functions if you choose to use that function as well. Thanks for this I hope you test other devices and fan controllers in the future, makes a great video series.
I think the main draws vs a simple Stream Deck are A. You can use buttons that are bigger than 1x1 and display bigger/denser images B. You can do that with only a USB C. I can't speak to which software is more customizable.
This reminds me that I'm still waiting on haptic feedback to become mainstream.
I used Asus Front Panel years ago. It could be built in your pc case, as panel was dvd rom format. This panel in video today is new level. I like it.

Like a larger, touchscreen version of a Stream Deck. You can do a lot more than stream-related functions with a Stream Deck.. basically everything you mentioned except the AIDA stuff.

edit: Jay did a video a while ago (maybe you did I don't know) about doing his own version of this, but here in the States it's $127 on Amazon Business.. that's NOT bad at all considering if you had to buy all the stuff to make one and the time to do it, man that's really a great price in my opinion! Perfect! I never wanted to use those HDMi displays for the identical reasons! I’d love to see what it looks like with only CPU GPU and GPU hotspot shown on the display… and can I see those at 10 foot or so away :P very particular but I game sitting on a couch with a TV. Currently use the Radeon overlay but if they can be visible at that distance for only those three values then it’s an instant buy for me.
Same here, couch, TV and my gaming rig is hiding in a closet to keep the noise down (my wife is ultra sensitive to coil whine) so this would be perfect.

this is damn near perfect. if they can add a function where i can have the screen act as a youtube player as a feature, ill be sooo happy.
i've been waiting for something like this for a awhile. i also hated the other screens that take up a port on my video card and causing issues with drivers and games.
@Der8auer - Great vid and info. I have been running a WigiDash for about 3 weeks now. I just like the ability to monitor the gear. I was wondering how much performance "loss" you saw while running this full time. Just curious, or maybe no one really cares. But id love to see/know.
It would be nice if you could use it on the fly to adjust fan speeds so you could lower the gpu fan which often pulls harder before case fans increase. Im sure that's been done before, but it'd be nice to select a silent, summer, winter, gaming fan profiles. Interesting product with intuitive software.

Most likely a few years late for this, but I wish there was a system monitor designed to mount in 2x 5.25 drive bays. I'm currently cobbling together such a solution with a 5 inch USB screen and a dual bay internal drive cooler frame.
There was a CRT version of that. Also I'm pretty sure I read thermal take or someone like that had a LCD that went into the optical drive slots. This was back in the mid or late 2000s.

It's quite a bit like the Corsair iCue Nexus companion screen: USB. Detachable. Touchscreen. Multi screens. HWinfo integration for sensors. But much larger interface.
Looks great, will be an instant buy for me. Just wish there was a similar (don't need touch) product for my Haltech XD

This is super nice. I had a 5" screen in my desk PC using AIDA64, but didn't like having to run multiple cables to it and having it use an HDMI port. In short it was more hassle than it was worth, so I eventually removed it. This would be a nicer solution.

I have two displays but always end up unplugging the one im not using atm from pc, windows is a pita with multi displays. Like ill have one disabled in windows, but the bios splash is always sent to the disabled display.

Aida64 has a hard time reading sensors when Corsair IQ is running. Fanspeeds and temp sensors become unavailable for Aida64 to display.
If it wasn't for the price, I would have bought one already, glad that it is actually a brand that I know and not weird stuff on Amazon
It's ridiculously overpriced, I use a 7" Rasberry screen that costs $50 and resize/retint MSI Afterburner for a permanent sensor screen that matches my rig colors.
Can you include a link for the aida64 template you are using. PS I JUST bought one because of your video!!
Looks cool with the AIDA64 screens, depends on how much it retails for I guess. I have a screen mounted in my case already, a Field monitor, native 1080p. Those can be found for under AUD$200 for a lilliput model. It doesn't have touch though, and also no auto power off.

this seems damn near perfect for my use case. Any word on whether you can integrate HWinfo into this? Id imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to do, but I haven't seen anyone explicitly confirm a working integration with HWinfo yet

What version of USB is the minimum requirement, 2.0, ... 3.2x2 ? I know it's a type-C.
How heavy _Does It_ tax system resources?
Not much. AIDA64 would eat a little bit of performance but it wouldn't be noticeable
It looks incredibly good and more useful than the little ones without touchscreen. It's only not available in Belgium.

Just ordered this, unfortunately I was unable to go through your affiliate route. Been waiting for something like this for a while. I love running metrics but I also use an OLED screen which I do my best to not have burn in.
I use remote system monitor and works REALLY WELL..
I've been using WaveShare's LED/OLED screens with or without touch screen with a SBC like a raspberry pi connected to the PC via bluetooth, wifi, etc sending aida64 data from the main computer. this way it doesn't use the PC's video out & it can stay on when PC is off showing weather, text messages, home security cameras, etc.
I like it and I want one now. SOLD!

Thanks for the review. I'm searching for a display for car installation, that should be able to present the most important information, and include functions that replace my stereo unit for music play. This seems highly applicable, I could hide the bigger display & mouse & keyboard to glove compartment, and control music & handsfree with this. That is, if you can use this to display any programs that you use on your computer, including Phone Link software for smartphone linking to the pc?
I'm curious on how reliable apps are on this panel eg crash or unresponsive over time
like “der8auer” said, I’m always use Aida64 integration to see My CPU, GPU usage, Temps and Fan speed when I do rendering & also to check my FPS while I’m playing games. Separate screen lot more helpful in this situation.

Wouldn't that kill most of the functionality of it being that it is a touch screen? Or do you mean mount it to the exterior of the case so you can still access it?
@@--_DJ_-- yeah, we lose touch screen function but it doesn't have to, because we only need to configure once and few tweaks sometime later.
unless you really need spotify and twitch menu, it better be an external display.

I have the Jonsbo D31 mATX case with a built-in front panel monitor, which I would like to use as a sensor panel. I do not want to pay $65 a year to Aida64 for their software. Does G.Skill have the software for this panel available to install on my PC to use with my built-in monitor/panel?
This may be useful where my PC is not doing what it should. I recently had it running 100W extra at my moonlight integration didn't completely close, found out a few days later when the office was hot

Where can we get the overlay
Because it’s not a dedicated video output from the GPU makes that way more temping like you had brought up. Considering how much displays cost is basically the same and in all respects has more functionality honestly sells me on it more considering the fact it’s usb with touch capacity versus having a hardware monitor running off my GPU.
A lot of the new panels use USB and not HDMI. Which has been a great upgrade to them.
130 is a bit high, around 60-80 would be an instant buy for me.

Tried to buy already, could not find avail anywhere. Currently use my streamdeck for this functionality along with a lot of other things. But this would add another level to things and I would likely start using both solutions together.

Aida64 is one of the best investments I've ever made in the last few decades of pc building and tinkering. I picked this up the other day and am very happy with it so far. I've put the stream deck up, but if you're an actual streamer and need the buttons I agree it would be better in that case.
From a UI/UX perspective, it needs to be reworked! The colours and icons are soar to the eye.
