- Winding through Sunset Drive, the San Timoteo Nature Sanctuary, and Ford Park in Redlands, CA. Stills taken by the son with a Fujifilm X100V and a few film simulations, but mostly Velvia. Stills taken by the father with a Hasselblad XPAN on Kodak ColorPlus 200 film and Hasselblad 500CM on Kodak Portra 400 film. Video taken with a GoPro Hero 10.

I'm very excited for this episode. I'm celebrating a year on RUclips, my first photo walk with my son, and the debut of a new song from my friend, Carlos Calvo.
On the one-year anniversary of the channel I will take a moment to say what perhaps should have been said at the beginning. They tell you to create what you want to see, and my favorite videos are 10 minutes of photography, little to no talking, cool music and of course lots of cool gear. Something to have a cup of coffee with.
I dared to dream I'd make 52 videos, but fell short at 38. I got burned out at the end of summer and had a sizable gap in output since. But I'm back on schedule and going for a new episode every other Saturday.
I thought I would hit 1k subs in no time as I live in a very active and passionate small town where no one is doing anything like what's on this channel. The Facebook groups seemed ripe for the plucking :) But it seems Facebook hates promoting RUclips content and I fell far, far short of that goal at 190 subs.
But I'm still having fun and I enjoy my videos. That's who I set out to please so I'm happy and look forward to another year of playing with gear and exploring when and where I can. And if my son continues to come on these walks with me, I will be the happiest dad in all the land!

Generally my son's photos are shown first in each series. His will be in the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. Mine are the super-wide XPAN stills or the square 500cm stills. Thanks to a fellow photographer named Chuck who took the stills of me and my son together.
