The assignment for this episode was APPLES. I wound through Los Rios Rancho and Children's Forest in Oak Glen, California with the Hasselblad 500CM, Zeiss 80mm f/2.8, and a roll of Fujicolor 400H. It was a cold February morning, but when you think apples you think Oak Glen, so off I went to do my best. The assignment for this episode was BACK TO SCHOOL. I wound through Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California with the Hasselblad 500CM, Zeiss 80mm f/2.8, and a roll of Fujicolor 400H. It was New Year's Eve and the only other humans I saw were some skaters making their own video. I managed to make eleven good photos and one 'whoopsie' when I tried a self-portrait. Loved that rainbow-y shot over the side.
Thank you! That was such a lucky surprise to see when I edited the photos.
A pier photo walk! How fun. But no dogs? I mean, telling me that up front... ;) (Thanks for sharing. How fun!)
Next time for sure! Glad you liked the theme. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love when a new video from you a-piers! ❤ 🌊
😍 thanks for watching!
Cheers! 🌊
🥂 thanks for watching!
Always a treat to unwind with you. Great shots in this ep. Great looks with the lenses.
Always a treat to get a comment from you. Thanks for watching!
Its like the camera does the editing for you, the colours are amazing. Cant wait to get mine soon!
Thank you and enjoy!
Well, you've got a new sub. This is so good! Love it. :)
I really appreciate it!
what you use for recording that video ?
I used the Insta360 Go 3S with the cap mount. Do you like how it looked?
This needs more views
Thank you so much!
Love the focal length of this lens. Is the camera a crop sensor?
Thank you. It's not a crop; it's medium format which is larger than crop and full frame sensors!
@@StillWinding well aside from your skill as a photographer, that helps explain why your shots look so good!
Dang, you even make the Red Fed look good!!
Thanks, @grahamsound!
What a symme-treat!
Haha, thank you so much!
Lots of patterns of three in Downtown Redlands.
Yes it was fun trying to find them all :)
Love a mutt!
lol me too!
Blessings to whomever becomes my 300th subscriber!
Lovely work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great episode!! I especially loved your chat with the squirrel 😂 love the guided tour and of course the beautiful photography!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Love the new format and you got some stunning curvy shots!
Much appreciated! ❤️
I like hearing your thoughts, too!
Thanks, Tam!
This might be my new favorite episode. I like the new voice-over format and hearing your thoughts. Each photo gave me a little gasp of delight like I was watching the play "Quilters" at Prospect Park.
Yay, thank you!
Loved the photo walk and great shots. May I ask what camera was used to record this and how is it mounted on you?
Thanks so much! I used an Insta360 Go 3 with the cap mount.
You must have been there early - no traffic or people all over the place - loved your photos with all the wonderful shadows!!!
Thank you ❤️ Yes I was there at 7am on a Saturday.
Great shots. Inspiring. Gotta love the Nikon ZF. It feels like it's made to be shot in black & white.
Thank you! Couldn't have asked for nicer feedback. I am loving the Zf; shooting in black and white with a manual lens was so fun.
Loved this one, beautiful shots!
Thanks for watching! 😍
Good pics. I stop using any type of filters in front of my Hasselblad glass. I only have experience with cheap amazon filters, but it really influences how sharp the images come. But ultimate sharpness is not always important or noticeable. Thanks for the video
Great point, thanks for sharing.
Oak Glen is so pretty! Lots of nice landscapes you fellas captured there.
Thanks, buddy!
Love seeing Oli in these!!
Me too! Thanks for watching ❤️
You and that Hasselblad take some nice photos!
Appreciate the encouraging feedback, bro!
I hope Scott wrings out that 356 speedster every now and then. I would be LIVING at 5k rpms.
I can't say it yet, but this channel just may prove to be the best youtube channel ever. Looking forward to more, more, more!
More to come! Thanks for watching!
Fun perspective on the Emerald Necklace! Beautiful photos 💕
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Best tour of Redlands ever! You really captured the spirit of our magical town!
Thanks so much for watching!
Best RUclips channel ever.
Thanks so much for watching!
The Redlands Bowl is so beautiful, and I loved seeing a little behind the scenes action. Another great episode!
Thanks for watching!
Hot video! ☀️
Thanks 🔥
Great episode! You made an interesting place even more entertaining, loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
So many great shots in this one. What a fun town. I said wow out loud several times. Salvation mountain, the sunsets, the portrait of you. Excellent episode Mr. Winding!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed all the pictures of the unique art with the beach as the background! Excellent video Pieter!
Thank you so much 😀
Really pretty clouds that day. Nice ep. I dig the bossa-nova vibes.
Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤️
I love black&white photography
Me too. Thanks for watching!
As a Redlands resident, I much appreciate this channel! 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
At 00:33, how do you not center “Central Complex” on that beautifully symmetrical building?
It feels like cheating when you want to take pictures of buildings and end up at Crafton. That campus is just so unique within the area with it's brutalism / brutalism like architecture.
Yes it was easy to find inspiration there.
Double the exposure, double the fun? Clearly not. Glad the gears started catching correctly for the rest of the roll. It was a "simply" wonderful episode. I liked hearing the birdsongs at the end.
Yes, so glad the whole roll wasn't ruined. Big fan of the bird songs too. Glad you were able to pick them up.
That looked like a young fig tree maybe?
Good eye, I bet you're right.
A masterstroke episode. Made me lol multiple times. Black and white is almost(?) always better in Winter? And that hallway looked like the T-1000 was about to come running at you with long metal claw arms and stuff.
I really appreciate the comment, friend. Glad I was able to brighten your day with some lols.
Beautiful. Lovely soundscape & track! Despite it seeming to disappoint you, I think it’s lovely. 🫶🏽
Many thanks! I had fun and Graham's tunes always elevate the content :)
So beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Having so little pictures in a roll of film still freaks me out
Agreed. It really makes you focus on getting it right on the first try. It's also why getting double exposures is so frustrating.
Could it also be better for those who are impatient and can’t wait to see the photos as soon as possible? 🤔
A short and sweet video. They are fun cameras to take for a walk. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I sincerely appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching!
