    These are very effective. Took me almost an hour to go through all the excercises on both hands.I am learning to play an E bass bansuri and went from 'no way i will ever reach that hole' to 'what? This hole? Tap tap tap' after only ons session. I can feel the blood flowing in my hand. Hoping this will help my carpal tunnel also. Highly recommended

    I’ve played piano for 10 years and have small hands but never really had too much a problem when playing music but now I’m learning moonlight sonata mvt. 3 and that one 10 note chord is really getting me so these really helped

      Lmao! Exactly same, I've been playing piano for 10 years, have small hands, and feels hurt after practicing moonlight sonata 3rd movement.
      It's very hard for me to reach a 9th.

    As a metaldrummer the hands are really tortured for long periods of time. I just realized how bad it has become. I'm really impressed by your finger mobility. It's really hard to do. Gonna do these exercises everyday. It feels right! Tank you for showing these stretches/exercises :-)

    I've had this video saved for piano stretches for a couple years now and do the exercises. Been struggling the last year with a cyst in the finger/hand joint of my pointer finger. There's a lot of overlap here with my physical therapy. Doc was very glad to hear I was already doing half the recommended exercises. Added in lots of hand soaking and massage and I can play piano again thanks to this combination.

    I sliced my ring finger using a mandolin. After putting the finger in dressings for over a month and allowing new skin to form, the fingers on that hand became stiff and painful due to being kept staright all the time. This is the best physical therapy video to getting back finger mobility and eliminating pain.
    Thank you so much.

    Thanks for these exercises! I will add these to the trigger finger exercises I follow on youtube. I'm not a musician but a hardworker granny who pull weeds in the backyard and do some gardening. Since lockdown
    I've been doing these chores plus cooking, washing dishes , hand washing clothes and house cleaning. Then come May, my hands became numb and my left hand i can hardly close with stiff and crocked index and middle finger. Hope this hand will get well soon

    This is the benchmark of how tutorials should be done by video. This would take 5 times as long if going through all exercises each hand each finger. That is fine if it's something complicated that is being done once but for something simple and repeated daily. Perfection. In today's society we have to multitask to get'er done so one can't be watching the entire video in real time every time we want to do a finger and hand exercises. Most times I just need to skim through instructions as a refresher or to double check something I may have forgot and this format makes it a lot easier. If necessary I wouldn't mind watching in real time. If it was an hour video I would have an hour to waste and would have to skip through different parts of the video. if it is streaming it often doesn't work well if your data is not ultra high speed (then you got worse problems as your getting cooked by your 5G microwave wireless internet). This is the perfect balance of time and needed information. Bravo. (yes I realize the irony with the length of my comment, my video would be 3 hours long, LOL but I would want it be only 7 minutes or two sentences)

    This is really outstanding. I added it to the stretching I normally do, and immediately noticed an impact. First time, and doing it only with the video, meaning I didn’t completely do them. Thank you. Will these exercises assist in strengthening a finger that will not move laterally, or lift while bent?

      My wife has been completely cured from arthritis pain, she gets normally at the night. I recommended Nze Njoku herbal roots for her after he successfully cured me bulging disc with natural herbs. She is very content with this particular herbal roots which cured her without any negative effect.. I discovered his contact "nzenjokuherbalhome@gmail.com" In a forum from a Lady he had cured back pain which resulted also from bulging disc. He specializes not only in bones and muscles diseases. I have “piano hands/labourers hands”.
    I just got (inherited) my heirloom piano.
    I can’t read music (l am learning at 29), and my hands, everything is sore.
    As a woman in the labouring field, my fingers are so tense and sore everyday, everything is sore, I just want my bed.
    I lift motors all day... but that piano, keeps calling me!
    So I’m here wanting to get on my piano seat to learn!
    Thank you! Thank you!

    As an intermediate pianist, I found these exercises very helpful!
    I have a question though: Is cracking my knuckles as a habit bad for dexterity? Or does it, as most forums I've visited indicate, have no effect on finger action?

    • @shoebill9641
      @shoebill9641 4 года назад +4

      there hasnt been any studies proving the cracking of your knuckles weakens or damages your hands and dexterity, you should be fine

      one question, i have a big hands, and im a fairly fast typer, im going to be learning piano soon, would being able to move my hands across my keyboard compare to playing piano at all?

    • @noellahjeannica6961
      @noellahjeannica6961 4 года назад +1

      @@shoebill9641 Yes; my piano teacher actually recommended typing as a warm-up exercise to improve finger independence relieve stiffness. I'm a right-handed person, so I tend to press computer keys more with my right hand and barely with the other. What I've found really useful is trying to limit the range of what keys each hand can press - like setting an imaginary boundary - so I can force my left hand fingers to be more active and get moving. So far, my left hand's catching up with the right's swiftness. :)

      @@noellahjeannica6961 Thanks a lot! Both of my hands are pretty swift, so I’m not too too worried, i’ll make sure to do more typing exercises before I do actually get my piano, once again, thanks a lot! This really motivates me

    What is relationship between gyming and effects to our fingers as a musician ? Is gyming have a good effect to our fingers or it effects in bad side . Hope some one answer me thank you

    • @lightshader8731

      It is really relatively. Depends a lot on what exactly you do. In general, if your fingers become more bigger and stronger, this will help you to have more strength while playing, especially different kinds of chords. But unfortunatetly, if your fingers are this way (which is completely normal for an adult man), it will make your speed movement and technique a little bit slower (and even more if you stop playing for a long time). The more strength you have - the less movement you have. But as I mentioned earlier, it depends a lot on what you do exactly, so if you practise ususally, you will adjust and get used to your fingers with their changes. Practise is key to succsess, so do it ususally but don't forget to take a rest when you feel some kind of pain and don't push yourselef! It's up to you if want to practice for short periods of time more ususally or if you want to practice for a little bit longer but not all day with lots of breaks. Just don't forget to stop when you feel any sort of pain while playing! And ALWAYS make sure that you play SLOWER as possible when you learn something new or difficult to you. This will make your technique better and more qualitatively developed. Speed will come with the accuracy and if you do it right, you will find out how faster you have improved. Even without realising it. I hope this helps you. Greetings my friend! :)
