Chris! So many motorcycles and scooters here! We just returned from Bohol and now hanging out in Cebu to meet up with family. We're also going to be checking out some properties here with hectares of land. The whole family agreed on moving here. Now, we need to think of what to do with the 1,000+ acre ranch that has been in my husband's family since the late 1800s. One of my Titos can't fathom that America is that bad of a condition. I asked my husband if we can take time to have coffee with you before we go home in a couple of weeks. I'll remind him again and contact you privately. Ingat lagi.😊
@@jessicahayes9788 lol right. I’m ready to start my tour company:) Just need the right Visa. You guys in Cebu? I’m still here too as the ferry’s have been canceled. Would love to meet you guys if you’re in town
Hey Chris! The 160 is what my girl wants and we plan on getting one when I get back to Polompon in January. So if you decide to sell it let me know. If not, no worries buddy.
Great purchase Chris. I walked into Honda dealer in Feb with 165k in my pocket to buy the adv which were plentiful. But switched to the Pcx 160 on the spot. 33k cheaper, same motor, super comfy for me 6’1. Now 6k kms later and no regrets. Also because cheaper if I decide to sell at some point I have less invested.
Very nice! My one concern with the PCX is the suspension. I already feel the ADV is just barely adequate for the Philippines, and the PCX is even more smooth road biased.
@@CarefreeChris yes, I’m 180lbs and ok I feel, but with 100lb woman behind, and I’ve done 1000kms that way, I’ve looked into getting heavier shocks. But with the ADV I would do the same. ADV rear shocks, slightly heavier, but both bikes need more when caring a passenger and gear.
I might be wrong, but CBS brakes o. Honda are for the non-abs models... I rwally like the abs on my adv160. Especially useful on wet roads and steep downhill gravel.
lol yeah. You really have to squeeze the rear brake to start it. Thought it was the key position initially but turned out i just wasn’t grabbing enough of the brake
@@CarefreeChris They have been riding on XRMs or smaller Honda 150s and the seat is narrower. My Fiance and her mom both said the ADV seat makes them spread their legs so far.
I bought a new ADV160 about a month ago. Registration came yesterday and had a plate made today. Also had a 45L SEC top box and Aooooocci C6 Pro installed today as well. Thinking hard about crash bars now. That's the thing about bikes, always wanting to accessorize, amirite?
For the Philippines adv160 is the best all around bike for the roads, weather and overall utility... I started on a full size honda mc and now own only an adv160...for city or small town in and out of traffic its perfect and works good in the mountains and rural areas....Storage is great..i have a hard 35 liter top box and a soft bag i can put on top of alloy top box... Best feature is that it keeps your feet dry and clean.
Really odd timing.... I was going to a dealer today to look at one. Really glad you put this video out, great review and let's me know I was on the right track looking at this model.
Found this… Honda is indeed rumored to release updates to its ADV lineup soon. The Honda X-ADV, a popular adventure scooter, is expected to receive a third-generation model with various improvements for 2025. This update will likely include more comfort features, like standard cruise control, improved low-speed handling through refinements to its DCT (dual-clutch transmission), and more adjustable windscreen settings. The new design is also set to include modern bodywork, a refreshed dashboard, and additional storage options . For the Honda ADV160, released for the 2024 model year, there aren’t expected to be major updates soon, but it’s already equipped with enhanced features like a slightly more powerful 157cc engine and additional conveniences such as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and a lower seat height for better comfort . The new X-ADV, however, appears to be the model getting the most attention for its upcoming innovations, especially targeting riders who seek an urban adventure scooter with more versatility and advanced technology .
I really appreciate your content and the scenery while you are riding Brother.. keep up the great work!
I appreciate that!

No problem. Thanks for watching:)
Chris, your Honda is the keeper. JB
For sure. Great bike for the Philippines
Just busted out laughing when you said you now have 3 bikes 🙂 Still smiling. Nice review and the restaurant/view was great. Thanks again.
I know right:)
Thanks for the detailed review of the ADV160. Good to see you both. Thanks, Mary Rose and Chris...Jim
Our pleasure! Hope all is good there Jim

ON Tim K has the PCX 150. He’s at least 100 pounds heavier than I am! Ha ha.
May I ask how you get your heads up display on your video?
Thank you. Enjoy your content.
I believe that comes with the insta360 gps watch you can buy. It can then be integrated to the video when you're making it.
Yes, exactly. I actually have two GPS remotes one for each camera and they bring in the stats.
Would love to see the bike and the storage capacity
For sure. More content to come and I have shot that review not long ago
Sec and I’ll link that video

I'm a fan of the brakes. Find them super sharp and responsive.
Pretty soon you'll need to build a custom garage to house all those toys Chris!
That's the plan!:)
Good job! That’s the bike I will get when i land there. Probably gonna put a top box on.
Yup. I'm a fan of all the storage. Really practical.
You were finding it difficult to start?
lol..yea what happened?

Good morning love the video work The AVD are really good for philippines roads
Agree totally
Just curious, your new Oneal helmet, will it fit in the compartment under the seat?
It fits in both top boxes on both motorcycles, but I’m not sure if it fits under the seat. I’ll try it out.
It is a very nice scooter. The ladies seem to think that the seat is too wide. Guess they are not used to that seat style.
I'm a fan. Interesting prospective about the seat

I still have it:)

will honda release a new version of adv 160? to par with the new nmax turbo?
Great question. I certainly hope so

So many people say it's a great bike for the Philippines. I have never rode a Scooter but I have rode a fat 🐥 lol .
I dig the big. Not to bad
I bet its too tall for your girl
It has a super wide seat. We've done some practice sessions and she's getting the hang of it.
