Question I’m 6ft 190 why did you go with adv vs PCX ? Trying to decide what one to buy. I’m in the Philippines

Honda ADV also make a 350cc which would be much better for your height. The ADV 160 will be too low and your legs might cramp. Perhaps a test ride for 2 hrs will help you decide.

Seems like this will be my first and main bike when i move to the phillipines. The price is pretty good and havent heard any bad things about it. Keep hearing its worth the money. Im american so naturally a little bigger than most Filipinos and in need of a larger bike for more comfort.

I just got mine last week. The 'A' with a rotate symbol in green color is actually an 'Auto Start-Stop' function. The switch is on the right handle. You can turn it off if you need to. The traction control also can be turned off via menu. Fuel consumption is superbly low. But you can feel a bit rattle on the floorboard if you go 80-90 kmh. Maybe its the CVT. Ride safe!.

Is it more comfortable than the PCX? I have driven neither of them, but I am leaning towards buying a PCX. How is the SEAT on the ADV?

When I lived in Asia, I rode the Honda PCX a lot. Now that I am back in the States, I miss it. Scooters aren’t as popular here, so they are harder to find… but I found a place near me, and am about to buy one. I did look at the Honda ADV160 as well, but in the end, I just prefer the look of the PCX more. Both great scooters, with great gas mileage, for a great price! I only wish the US got the idle start/stop feature but alas we aren’t as lucky.

Appreciate the full review of ADV 160, great video/great scooter.
    Quick questions:
    1. Is insurance required on the scooter in Cambodia?
    2. Do you renew the tag for the scooter every year, or is there any type of annual fee for ownership of scooter?
    3. Also, if you own property in Cambodia are there annual taxes or any type of property ownership fees? Thank you.

Wow the color variant of the ADV 160 that you have is NCX Honda exclusive, i do believe that is released in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. I hope this triple black variant will be offered in the Philippines, so sleek. 🔥

Looks good to me. Also saw what seems to be a good review on the Honda’s XR150L, under $3k in the US, I understand, and Dual, for off road as well. I do like the storage under your seat though. I also think your mileage is a little better than this one. Thanks for the review.

    • @Jeremybaland

I own both the ADV 150 and the XR 150. The ADV 150 is hands down faster and more dependable because of fuel injection. The XR 150 is super fun and if you like off road it would be the way to go. They both are awesome little bikes, ether would be a good choice.

I am confused and need to do some more research. First, Honda dealerships here in Phnom Penh led me to believe that the 2023 model is 150 cc. Later I was told that the 2023 model here indeed is 160 cc, but didn't have those upgrades yet (more powerful engine, 4 valves not 2, 30 liter underseat storage, higher windscreen, etc.) that are meant to be on the 2024 model according to Honda Japan. Then just yesterday I heard from another YTer that the 2024 model IS available here with all the upgrades (he bought his at a Honda dealership in Siem Reap). Do you have the specs for the model you have? Are you able to send me a link to it or post it here? Does it indeed have the more powerful 4 valve (not 2 valve) esp+ engine that is the same as in the 2024 model? Adjustable windscreen, 2 more liters underseat storage (30 liters total)? Need to get to the bottom of this mystery!

Honda is ridiculous with the idle stop function, its not good on this small a cc bike makes no sense, i truly planning on getting adv 160 in a couple months, i really don't think so now, likely go with Yamaha zuma or maybe xmax 300 ,but i really don't want xmax because the price, its a good price, i just don't want that kind of commitment now,
Really wish honda didn't do that nonsense
