    Thank you very much - my plan was to manually add them one at a time, and following your very good instructions, this saved me a lot of time. I have a LG flip phone, and had to choose slightly different options than your phone, but I was able to figure it out. I had to choose OPTIONS on the upper left of my phone for example. You just saved me a ton of time and is appreciated!

    Watched this video in order to transfer contacts from an old Samsung Gusto 3 flip phone to a new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphone. After playing around with the old flip phone or a few minutes I found that instead of selecting manage contacts I needed to select send name card and then connect through Bluetooth and it worked. I was able to pair the two phones and download the contacts from the old phone to the new. Saved hours of work entering it manually. Thank you so much for this video.

    Thank you for sharing this informative video. I do have a smart phone, a Tablet, a PC, and a basic (old school) Samsung model SGH-390G
    These phones were advertised as "Smartphones" LOL! Even way back when that model came out, before Samsung became overly priced, churning out way too many makes and models of phones to keep up with, for me, that phone was NOT what I'd say is a "smartphone".
    Yes you can access Bluetooth and there appears to be 2 options in "Connectivity"
    1.) Bluetooth
    2.) Select USB Mode
    I never wasted my time as it had very limited Internet access. All those phones are capable of is their limited mobile "web" browser.
    Anyhow, I have quite a few photos, and a lot of messages that I didn't think I could transfer to my "smartphone" or other devices.
    Hopefully I might even be able to transfer the text messages, which most were saved to the SIM card.
    Im wondering if a SIM card that old could be used in one of my cheap "Smartphones" that I just have as a spare, and took out its SIM card and only use it via the wireless connection at my home? I guess it's worth a try. So thank you for showing that it is possible to transfer trying a few different options depending on ones phone model. 🙂

    My grandmother has an old LG flip and I was able to find it and pair but it wouldn’t let me connect it said some thing about not supported so when I tried to send the photos it would just fail every time could it be that the model of her phone is so old that I’m not able to send the photos to my iPhone?

    • @ScubaMoto
      @ScubaMoto  2 года назад

      Michelle S: As soon as I read "iPhone" in your message I suspected it's the same issue with Bluetooth I've heard others have with Apple devices. I don't own any Apple product, so, unfortunately, I haven't had experience with IOS and Bluetooth. For now I would recommend transferring with Bluetooth as shown in the video to a friend's Android device or to a PC that has Bluetooth and then you can transfer to wherever you'd like using USB or thumb drives. I have done a bit of research and found that you have a lot of company with many others having issues with Bluetooth transfer to or from Apple devices. If you don't have a friend with a PC or an Android device, this link may get you started in the right direction. developer.apple.com/forums/thread/672553 I hope that helps.

    Thank you, Is it possible to save SMS Text messages from conventional Flip Phone to Smart Phone?

    • @ScubaMoto
      @ScubaMoto  8 месяцев назад

      There are a great many variables affecting the answer to the question. If it was Android to Android it would be simpler.
      -Flip phones all had their own independent operating systems. So, with hundreds of flip phone models out there, it starts with how well the flip phone will interface with a PC via a USB connection.
      -"Smart phones" are either iOS, android or a couple others, and that also affects options for transferring text files.
      -Cellular Carriers are different in what type of cloud service they offer. Some may have service options available that might be useful for a transfer through their servers.
      If you have a major carrier, the place to start might be the tech services of your carrier.

    • @ScubaMoto
      @ScubaMoto  Год назад +3

      Wow, that's a relic. No wifi, no Bluetooth and no USB. That makes it tough to do without re-connecting to network. Your camera claims VGA (480x640) and your display is 128x160. If you only want a few photos, you could zoom in and pan on one quadrant at a time taking digital images of the display for each zoomed pan. That will preserve the 480 resolution. Then I would patch them together in a photo editor. It's what I would do if I really wanted the pics. I hope that helps.

      Phone menus are definitely different. From your phone's User manual:
      1.From idle mode, press the Center Select Key [MENU], select Media Center, then press the Center Select Key [OK].
      2.Press the 3 key for Picture and Video and then the 3 key again for My Pictures.
      3. Select the image you want to send, then press the Right Soft Key [Options].
      4.Press the 1 key for Send and then press the 4 key for Bluetooth
      5.Highlight the image and press the Center Select Key [MARK], when finished selecting images, press the Left Soft Key [Done].
      6.Select the receiving device and then press the Center Select Key[OK].
      I hope that helps.

      Great! Amazingly the thing does have a bluetooth option, so I may try that. Kyocera Model Luna 3G, 2011. The PC I was given is HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook with Windows 7, about a year ago. (My first PC.) It didn't recognize the Kyocera when I tried with a data cable. (That did work with my old Moto Android, so maybe bluetooth is the way).

Therefore, I have new number. My flip still worked, but no service. 4 mos. Then out of the blue it just turned itself off. No sounds like when battery dieing. Also battery was 3 bars. Took battery out and put back, phone comes on. A wk later dies again. Won't come back on now. And I wish to do your most wonderful video is displaying. Help please, anything, anybody?????🤪😜😝😛😋

    • @ScubaMoto
      @ScubaMoto  Год назад +1

      Once you solve your battery issue, you can simply follow the steps in the video. Since removing your battery had, at least, a temporary benefit; it may help to clean the oxidation off of the contact terminals on the phone and the contacts on the battery. My favorite cleaner is DeOxit-5 but you might have some success with WD40 followed by rubbing alcohol. Just let things dry out before re-inserting and charging the battery. If you still have a battery issue, you can check the charge port to make sure it's clean and getting a healthy contact when a cord is plugged in. If none of that helps, you may need to leave the cord plugged in while working or you may need a new battery. I hope that helps.
