Here in the US we have a similar powder called Capture. Amazing product. I'm a professional carpet cleaner and I use it a lot for people who want a "dry" cleaning option.
Such a beautiful design, and characteristically german too! I vacuum and steam my mattress monthly, hoping it makes a difference.
Don't worry about that powder in the fabric. It's a cheap nylon weave like a window screen, stuff will go through it. That powder will shrivel up once the moisture is gone and just vaporize into sand grains.
In the 1960s In the US before Eureka developed a power nozzle for carpets on their Roto-Matic canister vacuums instead of providing some sort of combination floor and rug tool they provided a dedicated floor tool and a dedicated rug tool that was designed the same way as the tool used to clean your mattresses with the vibrating rubber bands.
Thank you for this video Roger. Love the Kobold Vorwerk “Home Cleaning System”! This is what a sleek ultra modern Kirby should be like! From our experience here in North America with Eureka’s Vibra-Beat (Parnall in the UK) carpet nozzle, the rows of vibrating rubber may beat the material, but also reduces much of the airflow and weakens the cleaning ability. Japanese vacuum makers have other mattress attachments that may work better to bring up the dust mite residue. They seem to be based on gentle revolving roller bars.

I say it Vorwerk as "vore work". People have no concept or realization at all that there is no right or wrong way to pronounce a word. It all depends on the region of the world you are from and the dialect of your language. The same way that different parts of the world call objects different things. Like in the USA it is a RV or trailer, but in the UK it's called a caravan.
I say Vorverk but I’m still working on Faregnugen.
