Ben The Coin Geek
Old Pueblo Coin
I just learned more about paper money than I've ever known. And I'm an old guy. Thanks Ben.
Thanks - glad you are learning
Very nice collection. Thanks for sharing.
Ben, not related to this but I had to share the excitement!! I have my first Tetradrachm, NGC 5/5 & 4/5, It's gorgeous 🤩 Love that big ole owl 🦉
Oh yes, some stunning paper currency, thank you Ben.March 3, 1863 was the Civil War military draft act
Fascinating.
I wish my ancestors had all saved one example (uncirculated, PPQ) of every year's U.S. currency during the lifetimes, and specifically willed them into my possession. What a collection I'd have!!
Somehow people saved coins - but paper money?! Nope
The St. Louis note bank is Merchants-LaClede (the uppercase letters make this more difficult to pronounce). LaClede is named after Pierre LaClede who is one of the founders of the city of St. Louis. He was French.
Great group of notes, Bought the Parker Burke $2 dollar siler certificate at grade 20 0ver the grade 30 because of the stains. Not regretting my decision. That completes the series for me, a personal milestone! Thanks Ben!
Awesome
Beautiful notes. Love your currency videos
Glad you like them!
Really enjoyed this video. I don't pursue paper currency but I do have some. I still love seeing these old notes. It always brings the same though as coins do, old money in general looks majestic compared to modern types.
I'd proudly display all of these in my collection if i had them.
Ben your note grading ability is outstanding!!
Thanks for watching!
Great group of notes. Videos like this helps sharpen one's currency grading skills! Thanks
Currency videos are so cool because they provide great suggestions for notes that are obtainable and usually pretty cool looking!
@@joepapp01 Absolutely!
Hey! Thanks- glad to get props from the paper gallery
Hi Ben, Thanks for the vlog! Extremely nice notes! I'm not into notes, yet. But the history and the depiction on those notes intrigues me.
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed it very much thx for sharing great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow, such beautiful notes! And I thought coins were expensive.... :o
Right?!
Hi. Ben. I also have 1935 silver certificate Series E no creases in mint state also without in God we trust on the reverse therefore in a row serial numbers.
I appreciate this video
Ben is spot on on those notes. Should change the name to “ the coin and note geek”
Name changes ! I’ve got so many options
You have just been hired to grade paper money Been so close your shop and go grade paper money!!!
Hey Ben
Eeyore the Coin Donkeek! 😎
r.e. the explanation about the tem 'mule' in coins and currency, "a mule is when a donkey and a horse get together", and then, "I'm not a pharmacologist so I am not going to be able to tell you anymore about farm animals". Ben you've got the beginnings of 15 min. of a numismatic standup routine, very funny stuff. Does your spouse roll her eyes when you getgoing with this stuff at home? If so, you know your materials decent. Thanks for the share. That second 'woodchopper' $5 was a really nice looking piece especially.
Eye rolling 🙄 yes 👍🏼
I'm no expert, but I think it is an eagle, not a mule.
Ben, would you do a video showing how to clean & iron currency and fix pinholes and stuff? 🙏
Right after I show you how to find wheel marks on franklins
Tough grader on the paper
SECOND!
🥈
jeezzzz, did someone buy all the notes? Everything I have checked on your site is Unavailable!
Me lol
@@McSilverWolff - congrats Mitch! Great acquisitions!
@@TiHerr74 thanks man! Sorry I bought them all.
@@McSilverWolff - NP. Need to speak to Ben about his failure to communicate in advance. :)
Yeah- these sold quick before the video aired
Other than the impossible single example notes has anybody collected a (nearly) complete set of US notes? I know nothing about note collecting.
Complete type note collections- but the national bank note is over 14,000 BANKS- not counting different years and denominations 😳
So, Gs swing both ways. Hmmmm. *>>-->* 🦉
