Costco bought up all the silver eagles and many distributors can’t get them now.

10 oz. RCM silver bars too. Almost all the big online retailers are 1 month back-ordered on those because of Costco.

1. Yes.
2. That would be a question for a refinery.
The refinery makes money on spot purchases of gold from Brian because they sell their product (gold bars) for more than spot. Brian said the other day that all the scrap gold he sends to the local refinery is being bought by the RCM which is then reformed into gold Maples. Since the RCM sells gold maples for well over spot, you can see how the RCM is able to pay the refinery spot for the gold they turn into Maples. You see? Due to the high cost of gold Maples, everyone is able to make a profit here. It's crazy that Brian buys back-dated gold Maples. Sells that gold to the refinery. The refinery then melts that gold down and sends it to the RCM. The RCM then takes that gold and makes 2024 dated Maples for sale to the public. 2023 dated and earlier Maples are melted down so that 2024 dated Maples can be created and sold to the public. Maybe this is in part because Costco cannot sell "used" Maples to the public at their stores. I mean it's just not realistic for Costco to sell "used" Maples to their customers. Crazy!

Because Brian can't take the chance that gold may drop $100 overnight. That's very unlikely, but a loss like that could severely hurt the financials of the company. Therefore, slow sellers like foreign gold gets shipped immediately to the refinery to lock in an immediate 2% profit on sale to the refinery. It's best to lock in a guaranteed 2% profit than to take the chance that gold may drop $100 overnight at these ATH gold prices.
