"My Wave" cover

- Launching my new covers channel with this song from Soundgarden's 1994 album "Superunknown." I was in a little over my head -- no one compares to the great Chris Cornell -- but I enjoyed the challenge. Each part is a single live take, although there are a few minor fixes due to the high degree of difficulty.
"My Wave" by Chris Cornell & Kim Thayil, © 1994 You Make Me Sick I Make Music / In One Ear And Out Your Mother Music (ASCAP). Respectfully borrowed in good faith; see channel page regarding the difficulty of legally clearing a musical composition for a non-commercial performance video.

If the comedy thing doesn't work out... you can always fall back on a career in music. Although... live performances might be a challenge to pull off. Awesome video.
great job!! one of the greatest rock songs to me, I'm glad I saw this.
WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're kicking some major ass with that tallent!!!!!!!!
Please keep us in the loop for any upcoming performances....I'm So.Ca local.
Superb cover guys!!! Very tight. Just remember to not only play the song, but feel it!!! Any band who covers it should have a little attitude...almost angry a bit...those were the times...the best covers of Soundgarden, Alice, Pumpkins etc portray that...play the song but let the attitude blare through the speakers also!! If not more!!! Thats a true "cover"!! Exceptional job tho!!!! Damn did Soundgarden fucking rock or what??!!?!?
Man this takes me back.
Why is it that I am finding so many youtubers have this incredible hidden musical talent...? great cover :)
MUITO LOKOO SONZERAAA.........

I wish you many good things!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my fav songs, awesome cover =)
Eddie,
Great job with a difficult band to cover! Consider doing "Never The Machine Forever" if your feet and fingers can withstand the onslaught. : )
One of the best bands EVER. Thanks for sharing.
Dude... you're REALLY freaking good. I had no idea. And a great voice too.
Love this guy!
I'm looking forward to seeing what's covered next!
Just brilliant!
Spectacular, your very talented!

The water bottel at the end was a nice touch
You've demonstrated great versatility, here.

Nice cover. Sound Garden were awesome.
I've never heard the original, and this was excellent!
You know, you really are legitimately good. I'm not just saying that, I've seen a lot of covers on youtube and yours are truely very good
Wow! Pretty ambitious on your part!... hard to play and especially sing. Well done too! Keep up the good work!

Really great cover, Eddie, I can't wait to see more. :) SUBBED!

I was hoping for the mulberry bush song. ;-)
But this rocked. Nice job.
Wow. You just got cooler. Didn't think that was possible. :-P
Praise the Lard.
Forgot about this song. Nice.
Excellent! Love to hear you cover "Rusty Cage"!
Fantastic job, Mr Current! I'm not a huge fan of Soundgarden, but you certainly got skills : )
I thought you did an excellent job..great tone, mix, etc. Great job man!
Gnarly dude! Rock on!
Fun and very good.
well done man. Very impressive.
Awesome job!
Most talented RUclipsr ever.
WTF! I only just discovered there was a music part to your channel. And you're not bad!
wow!
This is the best cover of this song I have ever heard.
I would buy this track and support the artist but I bought the cd long ago... two great covers btw
Great Cover!
wow, this is actually really good! Edward after your comedy religion videos I thought these covers would be spoofs, but you're really good! Very nice and I'll subscribe happily!
i gotta say , awesome job covering this song!! for those below that arent getting it, its all the same dude!!!! the drum part may look tight but i think thats because maybe the drums arent his strong point..however, that being said, you did an awesome job...matt isnt an easy drummer to even keep time with ...and you did it! Good JOB!
That's pretty damn good, dude!
nice!! Great choice of song too.
Awesome cover Eddie. I was thinking for your next cover you could do either South of Heaven by Slayer, Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden or since you appear to favor 90s alternative/grunge maybe some thing by Faith No More.
I like it.
Great job man, this is not an easy song.......
The backwards guitar solo was amazing. Great trick. First time I've seen that done.
Great job!
Really nice job.
Two tips from someone who has done studio work. 1. Drop your vocal mic about an inch - it's affecting your range. 2. If you're hunching to play the drums, they're not setup properly. Space them out and raise them to the proper height.
Again, great job. Cheers.
relax a bit while playing drums.........nice cover
Very well done. Checkmate!
Ed you Rock!!!! As a fellow musician, and as player of multiple instruments , I can Truly say, BRILLIANT.
ED what do you think of a music collaboration video, chastising creationist?
Nice job, keep up, 'nuff sed! :)
I think you could have raised the volume of your voice over the instruments a bit.
Overall, GREAT cover.
Glad I subbed to your original channel. Will make sure I listen to everything you put up here too!
Possum Kingdom, My Wave you sure like those oddball time signatures. How about Take 5 next? Very Cool
Well Done!
Fuck yeah. Soundgarden!
another awesome cover!
you just sold another track for soundgarden on itunes.
Another great cover, Eddie. I'd like to see you do Sober by Tool or maybe some Pearl Jam.
Absolutely fucking awesome, man!
Awesome--this channel's gonna rock! :- {0>
Subbing-naturally. Ty Mr.Current.
You Rock!
LOVING that bass line at 2:30+ so fucking cool!!!!
Also, nice refilling upside down bottle you got there ;D
Damn, I did not expect that.
good stuff Eddie
❤
Sick \m/
Great song and a very nice cover. I agree thought that the drummer looks like he needs to loosen up a little. lol :)
@HermanniSan I messaged him about his music and he wanted some ideas of what bands he should cover. I told him that I'm really into grunge and that Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Nirvana and stuff like that is awesome. He said that he wouldn't do Nirvana because they're too iconic.
Damn! You are seriously talented....for a Christian fundy! :-)
@Quintinohthree Fair enough! I look forward to more of his videos.
Yeah!!!!! KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!
Very Awesome.
What is the deal with that bottle of water?
Because of your other videos it just seems like you're doing all of this really sarcastically to me lol.
Great job though, you're an awesome musician.
Ah, the nineties, those were the days.
Wow you're good. This was shocking since I'm so used to your satire videos lol.
One you stop laughing at the fact it's Eddie, it's actually pretty fucking spot on. Good stuff man.
Will you be taken requests? I hope so. I would love to hear your take on Modest Mouse's Tundra/Desert. You da man Eddie!
This reminds me alot of NIN's "Only" for some reason o.o
Bad ass song choice to kick off your new channel Ed! This deluded atheist salutes you! Cheers!
Superunknown is one of the first albums I ever owned back when it came out in high school....
not bad dude. Good idea for a channel and as always I love your stuff. Message me if you ever want a didgeridoo!
@EvanChaim Who doesn't look like a spaz when they play drum's? It's kind of part of the instrument.
The eddie on drums has a real awkward kickass thing going on. Probably looks coolest playing drums.
Like NYAtheist suggested, cover some Jesus rock/metal just to mess with JC's followers. In addition to Stryper you might consider the Resurrection Band out of Chicago. Awaiting Your Reply is considered to be their seminal album, and to me is the strongest ouvre they produced.
Keep up the good work on all fronts.
Nice Job Eddie! Hmmm maybe some Van halen!
