i really liked Ubel Blatt even tho some think it's less great than Berserk or Claymore the interesting thing is it don't shy away from treating other humans as more messed up and monstrious than monsters themselves, while Berserk might play with the idea of that whoever fight monsters should be wary of turning into one, actually in Ubel Blatt it shows that humanity is already messed up before even fighting monsters.
Yeah I totally agree to that notion that it does show that before humans turn into the monsters like you said that they were already monsters to begin with. And a lot of the characters that were really have just dark and twisted motives that really interests me when I first read this story. It's very dark and I'm very glad that someone on RUclips is actually reviewing this particular series because I do feel that it needs to get a more attention
I totally agree with your review, Ubel Blatt is great (tho a bit too edgy at time, especially in volume 0), the biggest issue is truely the later part that feel too rushed, I'm under the impression the author wasn't really interested anymore and wanted to go on other works.
Unfortunately this series is more of a "read online over physical" media considering some of the volumes are nearly impossible to find for a good price.

If there is a lot of nudity and sex, is there any romance subplot with the protagonist? I don't mean something trivial like "oh, this girl is pretty", I mean something more, with an impact on the characters for example. And if there is- is it satisfying?
Unfortunately... only trivial stuff. I wouldn’t really call it “romantic”. I really wanted romance between him and this other character, and anticipated, but it never happened. Also, atleast the English publication, some of the volumes are pretty hard to find for a decent price so it might behoove you to read it online. But it’s up to you. Search around for a good price on the out of print/stock ones if your going physical copies
it was more like the side kicks had admiration and love for the MC, but the MC was too busy focusing on revenge that he didn't notice, but maybe his feelings shows when he try to protect and get himself in danger and miss an opporutinity to exact revenge to protect his companions
Hey Carter. Sorry for the late reply. Life's been crazy. Just checked out Ebay. Looks like a full set can cost anywhere from $500-$1500. Just depends on which volumes you can find for a regular price. But the OOP ones are going for hundreds of dollars unfortunately. Very unfortunate. Hopefully Yen Press reprints some. I honestly don't think the series is worth paying for right now. I'd recommend online scans until hopefully Yen Press puts more out, or if you enjoy it so much that your willing to pay for physical copies.

Well I plan on doing the podcast every weekend so wanted a name that wasn’t so “solo” sounding to give podcast members more credit. Plus I thought it sounds good. And not yet. I’ll be driving around the country being put up by family and friends until end of August. Most of my collection is in storage, so I only have my Nihei stuff and some series I had not read yet. It’ll happen though
