I remember taking notice of this series because I liked the cover art, and fantasy is something I am always excited for, but after checking ut out ( cannot remember if it was vol 0 or vol 1), it was pretty clear this is not something for me at all, for the same reasons you mentioned. One violent scene in another series has more impact on me as a reader than the entire volume of this series jam-packed with violence and gore. I really found absolutely nothing even mildly interesting.
I would suspect that reprints have been affected by COVID, so have taken longer to get done. I doubt it's OOP in the sense that it'll never be available again; it's more likely that restocks will happen if you have a little patience.
If you're reading a finished project it's different from trying to keep excitement every other week or every two weeks, if you're looking for some dark edgy fantasy fighting sure, the first couple of chapters I'll give it the first two volumes are decent, the character's past that point are extremely one-dimensional, the universe doesn't make any sense, if you're into gratuitous kinky things more power to you, although it plays very lil to the story, once you get to the end if you still like this wow most people I knew you'd dropped it because I remember picking it up when it was compared to seven deadly sins, as both characters Legends frame for something short and technically un Aging, personally I don't like the ending to that Series ether but it's way yay better then this, if u like it good for u but if u agree with even alil with what I'm saying read something else. Good video
Wow I have only ever heard a little bit about this series and now I will likely skip it! It's a shame that dark fantasy tends to fall down the same edgy-dark hole. Just curious, did you ever read Claymore? I found that it avoided most of these tropes and was a good dark fantasy.
Definitely going to be avoiding this. I hate when authors throw in rape and violence for the sake of making it seem 'edgy'. It comes across as so contrived, and as you say, juvenile. I found the same when I read Tenjo Tenge
As someone who owns Übel Blatt, I came as soon as I could and honestly, this is so valid.

Sounds interesting, big berserk fan so my cup of tea.
Haven't finished it yet but omg I love it so much!!!
Is this series out of print? i can’t find volumes 4 and 6 of the omnibuses

@@SimplyGee hopefully. If the series wasn’t successful them, they won’t reprint it. But I’ll hold off
Thanks for this informative video! I'd heard a lot about this series but I think I can say it's not for me after this lmao
You should Redo of Healer then, it makes this one look like heartwarming adventure of friends.
At least the hero here is arguably still a hero.
Lmao how? In ubel blatt you have way more darker scenes then in your "redo of healer r*pe scene"
Definitely not Berserk but can help fill the void if you are missing Berserk
