About Game Builder Garage, Japan has a cool place called Kidzania that my kids love where kids get to learn how to do [a simplified version of] a bunch of different jobs, like sushi maker, baker, delivery man, firefighter, etc. And Nintendo sponsors a game developer area where kids learn various steps of how to make a game, first using Game Builder Garage to make their own "game," then they have to choose a title and make a presentation where they play it and explain the appeal of the game. At the end they get an empty Switch game box where they put their game's name on the cover. My son did it, it's neat, he was proud to have "made a game." So I guess Nintendo at least found some cool use for Game Builder Garage.
I originally did it just because I thought the silent breaks in this one would be annoying and wanted people to be able to skip them, but if the high-level timestamps are helpful, I can keep putting them in! (Probably nothing more granular than that, it starts being quite a bit of work at that point 😅)
@@TurboShawn Cheers Shawn! That's the perfect compromise for me. I don't have time to listen to the full show every week, but high-level stamps make it much easier to jump straight into the news or 'what we've been playing' section to hear the team's thoughts that particular episode.
I feel like Xbox/PS/PC are all kind of tied together in terms of how good you can make a game look. If you release a game on one platform, you generally have to release it on the other two to make the bottom line work. If MS makes a super powerful Xbox, I doubt we'll see much of a difference in the games over the PS6.
The conversation around manual transmissions made me sad. I'm 41 and have been driving MT since I was 17 and still opt for that when possible, but it's getting harder and harder. My current car is 2019 Corolla with MT (which I had to wait 6 months for! lol), and it's not even an option on those anymore!! I hate it because I loathe driving automatic but soon I won't have a choice. 😢
