    Dom, you nailed it! 😁
    Extra special ones.....
    1. The TT radio cover - emblazoned with TT (so cool when it's down) - a excellent piece of engineering design
    2. The twin tail pipes - symmetrically positioned and sized just right
    3. The VR6 3.2 exhaust note when you first start it - burbling away! :)
    4. Hidden switches - boot, fuel, windows - subtly hidden away for a clean design
    Timeless design, inside and out - Audi did a fantastic job with the TT!

    I have a 2005 3.2 DSG Quattro SLine. I love its styling, interior and exterior. I love the all aluminum trim that never looks bad. It’s the perfect height, not hard to get into or out of. I love its low overhead and narrow windows that keep glare out of your eyes. I love the understated growl of the 3.2 six. Its exhaust note is just right, noticeably present in normal driving, and when sporting, just loud enough without annoying the heck out of everyone else along the road. I love the DSG- best transmission in the world. Paddle shifting at will, and yet it will drive like an automatic when you’re in a traffic jam and trying to drink your coffee. I love that I can carry lumber in the TT. All the genuinely usable load space. I love how nimble it is, with stability control and Quattro traction. It’s as close to perfect as any car I’ve ever seen. A sport car that makes a great daily driver.

    What I like of my TT is basically the engineering that went into creating it…
    Plus the looks, both interior and exterior…
    The first time I saw a TT was Dec 31st 1999, in Leeds, I was driving a D/D bus and saw my first TT parked up, so I stopped, got out and just walked round it in awe, it just looked sooo stunning….
    I decided then and there that one day I would have one…..
    It has to be said that my buses passengers didn’t exactly share the same enthusiasm, I got a right telling off when I returned to the depot that night !!!!
    ;-)

      And, of course that TT was a “non spoiler” example, which IMHO is the best one to have!!!

    1. Looks
    2. Heated Seats (they kick the ones in my S6's butt)
    3. Dash design (I just love it with the radio flap shut it's so elegant)
    4. Driving position (I've yet to find a car I'm more comfortable driving)
    5. How quiet it is inside on the motorway (Cruises so well for what it is)

    First: the shape 💖 Love at first sight 🥰
    Second: the TT community. So welcoming, even to complete novices like me. So impressed and never made to feel I’m asking a stupid question 🤓
    Third: acceleration when you put your foot down 😈
    Fourth: the availability of spare parts. Breaking is making!
    Fifth: its size! Small but perfectly formed ❤ and I like being seen in it 😎

    1. Styling, you can't lock it without looking back as you walk away. If you can check your pulse. 2. Available in a great range of colours. 3. Parts availability 4. Handling is great... particularly on the 1.8t quattro. 5. For me the insurance premium was low and I was also able to find one that met with the ULEZ conditions. (be careful not all of them do)

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  4 месяца назад +1

      It’s funny, how some are ulez and some are not, I have had many people contact me saying that their car isn’t even tho registered in 2001 is not ulez. The colours, that is a great one.

    Not sure I agree with it being checkable tho as I found it was nose-heavy which just ruined the feel of the car when hooning it, IMHO....
    Agree with the looks side though, they are pretty unique looking, and actually look like the concept..

    I don’t own one yet but for the price I think they can’t be beat a couple grand it’s a lot of car for that with a lot of upgrades available like you say. I’d like to see some videos of how these are with just like a stage 2

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  4 месяца назад +1

      If you take a look on the channel, there is plenty of videos covering, getting them to stage two and the kind of performance, and that sort of thing, I will be doing more videos featuring other peoples cars, showing all the various stages of what they have done and what they have achieved

    Why is the Audi TT Mk1 notably more affordable in the United Kingdom, especially considering the favorable availability and pricing of parts? In Turkey, obtaining a well-maintained 225 model can cost around £25,000, with parts being remarkably expensive and sometimes scarce. For instance, a headlight can range from £300 to £1000. Additionally, insurance and comprehensive coverage, totaling around £1000, are not included post-purchase. Yet, in the UK, a V6 variant can be acquired for £1500 to £2000. What factors contribute to this significant price difference? Thank you.

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  4 месяца назад

      Yes, I believe you are correct, whilst there is so many on the road, the price parts will always be lower, it’s a supply and demand thing. I think outside of Europe, the prices are always a lot higher, especially when you go further a field as there is so few about, and they all suffer with the same problems.

    My top 5 would have to be
    1. The interior as a whole (mines red and in really good nick, which definitely helps)
    2. How surprisingly practical the boot is. Moved house with mine.
    3. THE SOUND!!! (V6)
    4. How pretty she is. Still looks good being 20 years old. Most people assume I have a private plate on it because it looks much newer than it is.
    5. Like you said, the community. Everyone’s so helpful. And I’m yet to meet a TT owner that’s a dick so that’s good😂😂

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  4 месяца назад

      I cannot disagree to all of those, especially the sound of a V6, the moving house part I think I will use my van for the time being 😂

    I have a dilemma. I bought my Mk1 225 TT in 2004 at 4 years old (the car not me 😛) I’ve owned it since and it was a dailey runner for about 3 or 4 years and then I was given an old banger with an MOT to use as my dailey to stop the mileage getting to high on the TT. Since then I’ve kept the TT garaged and it only comes out on the occasional sunny weekend from April to September. The thing is like new, it’s in immaculate condition and I love it but in 4 days time I’m being made redundant from a decently paid job and fear I may have to sell it 😢 I also own a motorbike and need the garage for storage as I have a lot of tools from the job I am loosing. I won’t have the space for tools, the TT and a Motorbike. I’m not entirely sure which one I will have to sacrifice. The only certainty is the Motorbike will definitely be staying, so it’s either the TT or the dailey which is now a TDI Mk 5 golf. I want to keep the TT, but the Golf will do over twice the mileage with the same amount of fuel 🥺

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  4 месяца назад +1

      There is an unfortunate situation to find yourself in, I completely understand keeping the bike as I would do the same. Having owned it that long it would be hard to park with but would be a great car for someone as it has been meticulously maintained by someone Who knows about these cars, hope you find another job quickly
