Just bought my first Audi TT less than a week ago and even at 200k miles its a wonderful car and I love it already. I am already compiling a list of fixes/potential mods/upgrades. This channel has been a huge help, keep making the great content!
For real even with high mileage they can still retain much of the quality and overall feel. I had a sub 200k 2000 180 and it just held up so much better than anything else its age. Ride is nice and quiet, not all road noise. These cars are masterpieces.
I just picked up one a few months back! Was built at a shop, got forged internals, hybrid turbo and all the supporting mods. Bilstein coilovers, and upgraded control arms. Makes about 300 hp & torque at the wheels. Best car I’ve ever owned. Absolutely exhilarating to drive. So fast past 100mph. Makes me feel brave enough to test the temper of the NYPD’s highway patrol
I bought a 225 Coupe from my job for a decent price recently. I fell in love with it, it needs a lot of of TLC to shine again but with this channel and working at an auto dismantler I'll have it shining again in no time.
After watching your recommendations I have this week purchased a 54 plate 3.2 dsg in glacier blue with full history and new timing chains. So so glad I found your channel 👍
I hear this so often! they get under your skin so to speak, when you sell one in the coming weeks, months, years you find your self looking at them again haha
I completely agree! Bought my mk1 3.2 a couple weeks ago (featured on Car Chris channel) and already I much prefer driving it to my tts lol amazing car!
Just signed on a 2000 TT Quattro with 91k miles/ like 145-150k km. So stoked for my first manual and your channel is all over my algorithm now 😂 cheers from Missouri
I bought a denim blue one last week with 69k genuine miles on the clock, very clean example with no mods done to it, recently had the timing belt and water pump done, paid 3500 for it and delighted with it, probably paid a bit over the odds but much less of a selection of them in Northern Ireland, most others have well over 100k on the clock.
For that mileage i would say you got a decent deal, not cheap but you certainly didnt pay more than its worth, hard to find with that kinda mileage now!!
I bought the cheapest running TT 225 BAM engine that I could find in France for 4.5k€, in January, after restoring a 180 AUQ coupe FWD (sad). Here in France the access to good price for mods and parts is quite hard compared to your market in UK, but it's quite a joy to make them shiny again :) The coupé was almost free, as it was on the way to go to the car cemetary. Spent a lot of time and money fixing it, used this as a learning experience and got the BAM one pretty nice now. I got to fit the BAM with Bilstein B14, a new EDEL exhaust in 76mm (got the maf to 210g/s without tune with that..), changed the fuelpump, changed a few captors, redid the full paint and bodywork job back to a pristine brilliant black, changed all the suspension bushes and brakes (which was quite a job). OEM+ is a joy. Now in this state, in France they are around 15K€.
@@TheParrottBrosI think if I rebuild one more I'll indeed come to UK to buy parts haha. But chassis are in a great state here as there is no winter salting and not much rain. Underbody feels like working on a new car compared to what I have seen you doing!
Really great cars, they look 😊awesome. I have a mint one in jet black 🖤 parked in my garage. Use it all the time, lots of comments from people. They are so 😊cool
Great presentation on market situation Dom. We are definitely seeing the upturn of the rollercoaster. Keeping hold of the car is the best bit of advice. Everyone looks back with regret when it comes to their old car and this will only be heightened with these bad boys!
Just got myself a Moro blue MK1 225 over a month ago, really nice condition considering the age. Have to say watching your videos really helped convince me it was the right thing to do. Always loved the look of them, gives me hints of 356 vibes which again is something I loved growing up. Does now mean I'm caught in the firing line of a missus who wants a load of stuff doing to the house when I just want to get stuck into the car though!
Congrats and welcome aboard! apologies for giving you a TT problem haha so much that you can do if you like a fettle, i always tell my partner that rainy days and winter are for housework... Good luck
I’ve just bought a 2001 225bhp roadster, 2 previous owners, 77k genuine miles with fsh, completely original for £1400 … couldn’t be happier.. seen similar mint ones selling between 5k and 6k now
When it comes to Resale value I'm always Amazed how people "follow sheep" so to say when it comes to what their car should sell for.. and most people just end up selling their TT for what is market related, Instead of asking yourself - what is my car truly worth compared to others out there?..One has to take into account the Condition, mileage and originality of your car before simply selling it for what Joe soap has his or hers on the market for..Always good watching your videos thanks! 👌OH BTW,I also drive a Red Mk1 225 and I Love it!!! 🥰
I had a 225 10 years ago and have just bought a 3.2 as like he said these cars get under your skin and now to have it with the R32 engine that I loved (I had two Golf R32s) I absolutely love it. Worried about the DSG though 🤪
Nearly sold my green roadster in spring, took it out first time since last year changed my mind, glad I did, new wheels and I love it even more. Getting rare and starting to turn heads now and nice comments. Let's hope you're right m8.
Ooo wow !! a green roadster thats what i was looking for, hard to find a nice one already believe me.... Glad your keeping it, prices will naturally increase going forwards, not just saying that as i own loads and i am biased, but there is less cheap crappy ones about and now they are about to tip 25 years old they are becoming there own
The MK1 TT was a car ahead of its time. As of right now you can not come close to buying anything that's AWD, turbo ,& manual in the same price range. Honestly anything you could buy in the next price range up is usually junk or been driven very hard. You can still find 1 owner TT's that have been driven by older people that didn't beat on them. You can never say that about STI's or Mazda 3's.
Love my 3.2 manual - I have only got 50k on mine. It has spent most of its life in Scotland so needs some tic. New coilovers - KW V2's along with top mounts going on next week. I cannot wait.
Very nice indeed, yeah scottish cars certainly need that extra bit of love but great none the less! that suspension will transform the car no end! and 50K miles!!!! thats super low
After watching BWS TT's & your videos, I finally bought a very nice 2005 Mk1. Yeah it has age related issues, it's going to need a new CV joint and an exhaust sooner rather than later, but these are just wear and tear. What really sold me was the £1600 asking price with just over 77K on the clock. Now I'm going though all the videos of your channel looking for the stuff I can fix, while costing stuff I can't. You have given me an insight and appreciation to the TT I'd have never known about otherwise. Thank you!
Thats awesome! thanks for commenting appreciate that! plenty of content to keep you busy thats for sure, wow sounds like you got a bargain!! anything you need to know im here
👂👂Spot on pal 👍😎 ( Got ma 3.2 DSG coupe with FSH chains done years ticket for a great price) just had full service, Haldex oil and diff oils done. Fluids all the way and flew through again another 12 months also have had it lano protected underneath. Enjoy! 😎😎👂👂
I got a nimbus convertible with baseball a few years ago after seeing it out the back of a dealer. My dad recently bought a 3.2 coupe. Bought because we love the shape, the interior and the fun factor. Neither will be going anywhere for a very long time
I bet the nimbus with baseball looks amazing!! Your right and that’s why the Tt’s sold so well is they just have that iconic styling and driver experience that everyone loves
After a few of your vids and then this I went and got one myself. 2000 Denim Blue 225. Only 74k and has a great service history. The blue leather is really clean. Has actually done about 1000 miles in last few years, Some years there are 2 miles between MOTS, the owner lived in Guernsey and left it here. Has a couple of issues to keep me tinkering too, but really impressed with the drive and how solid the car is. You vids let me know there was support out there when i will no doubt need some advice, keep it up!
@@TheParrottBros yes it has blue leather seats and everything blue interior. Am trying to get my 50+ YO head around scanning codes, my son put VCDS software on a laptop to see why the esp light came on. this is like Star Trek stuff to me LOL.
Excellent video - again - have owned my black 3.2 V6 Coupe since last September and have nicknamed it/her Tina as in Tina Turner (TT ) SIMPLY THE BEST !!!
Brilliant video!! Dom, found it very useful & informative.I have just purchased a Audi TT 180 coupe with a full documented history 😀 👌 loving the car 🚗 🚘 keep up your fantastic chanal really enjoy it
Thanks for watching and welcome aboard, now you know where to go if you need to find any info, apologies as no doubt you will be binge watching the channel, my mrs thinks its mad when i tell her i have had thousands of hours view time she doesn't want to listen to me for 20 mins
I paid $6500 for a 160k mile 01 225 roadster back in September. Needed lots of work, but no rust and the engine and transmission are STRONG. It's been up on jack stands all winter and I have just completed the front suspension. Can't wait until I have it back on the ground again.
@@TheParrottBros US! I know I overpaid a bit but the used car market is still crazy over here. Do you have any videos on doing a timing belt/chain maintenance?
Got mine last year and paid quite good money for a good car, now adding my own personal touches, great cars would definitely recommend. Great vid Dom 👌
Thanks buddy, it’s in the making hopefully will be ready in the next couple weeks & thanks for the order will get that made and out next week ( if your the same CH ) haha
I just bought a 2001 Denim Blue 225 w/matching blue interior which was very rare to me at 190km for $9500 Canadian. A definite classic in 3yrs time. Car runs smooth, just needs small TLC with some minor rust work around the fenders, but other than that, she's just gorgeous! My plan is to restore it back to it's original condition.
I have heard canadian cars are very expensive but then again the currency is quite different to ours so thats probably a big factor too. Returning it to its former glory is defiantly worth while in my opinion, easier to find parts, costs less usually and less to go wrong plus helps sale price down the line
On my 3rd now so defo agree with the statement about people keep coming back to another mk1. All been 225 coupes. After my 2nd I said never again but then I came across a perfect low mileage factory Votex 225 and it had to be done. Longest I've kept a car now, nearly 2 years. Owes me about 10.5k with the purchase price as well as doing everything to it such as maintenance, preventative maintenance, mods and getting to stage 2. Safely say this one's staying for the foreseeable future and maybe being a Votex will go up in value in the future.
That’s a great story and like you say it’s one I hear a lot. They have this way of drawing you back in or in my case weighing me down with multiple ones 😂
I think you're dead on the money there, these cars are brilliant. I've bought two 1.8's over the last week or so - and I'm hooked. They're 100% worth keeping on the road, shame to see decent examples getting scrapped.
Only 2! haha you mad man, ive seen some beautiful cars go to the breakers over the last few years, now they would have been worth a lot more but thats the thing about history , cannot be changed
Just picked one up yesterday and I said heck I’ll search parts up for it and found ANOTHER one for dirt cheap. It’s next morning and I’m about to go pick up TT #2
Just picked a 180s mk1 up off auction.. high mileage, bodywork not the best, but it’s something to learn with.. that and I have an S3 Mk2 Quattro.. 😂 the price on S3 alone have gone insane and mine was the cheapest one in the country..could never part with that though..
I think the value hasn't risen so far because there are so many on the road still. I see them almost every time I'm out and about. That says a lot for the build quality 👍
I've just bought a 225 roadster with 113k fsh and decent condition and I won't be letting it go for a while . I've seen the prices start to climb over the last few months
Men I have mine that is a 2005 tt 225hp and I don't know what to do with it. I bought the car 3 years ago and I had to travel and the car was sitting for two years and half. I started to fixed 6 months ago and since then I had fixed timing belt, timing chain, water pump, axles, coolant hoses, and now is the clutch. I really love that car and is my dream car but is giving me a lots of problems and sometimes I cant afford those mods. Anyway I think that I will keep it because Im in love with that slow shitbox, I love your videos man keep being like that you are awesome
Thanks for the channel support means a lot, this is a discussion i have a lot with people and often they get in contact later on if they sold-up and regret it, issue is now price is on the rise so in the future you may struggle to get a good one for a reasonable price. if you love it dont let it be the one that got away
@@TheParrottBros yes, that’s my fear. I live in the US and you don’t see them often in here but If I sell it there is not another good option to choose in my opinion, so I might keep working on mine. I got a lot of inspiration from you so I might start to do videos working on it because of you.
Sorry... Not sorry haha, Funny story i nearly bought a nogaro blue s3 just before i got the nogaro blue tt, luckily it sold before i got there otherwise this channel may have never existed!
@@TheParrottBros Much less S3's have been built so it's rarer. On top of this, S3's are mostly bought for speed while TT's are bought for the looks also
Mines going to be on the market as I’m grading up. 03 Glacier Blue 225 Roadster, 78k miles, new timing belt, water pump, Bilstein OEM suspension, refurbished brakes, all Roadster bits & pieces, good body, new windscreen, very rare complete dark blue interior to include seats, carpets, door cards, dashboard, steering wheel, handbrake. 4 new Good Year Grand Prix Asymetric tyres. £4-4.5k
Sold my Volvo s40 t4 sport last year (only 8 in the country) and only 2 in panama yellow, and Brought a 225 bam done 150k last year for £600, owner had brought it to sell, knew nothing about it, only 1 key, no service history etc, exhaust was falling off. welded the exhaust back on, looked in the boot, found full Audi service history inc original sales receipt, 2 extra keys, valet key etc. full silicone pipe work under bonnet, stage 1. runs like a dream. thanks for all the videos, has helped me a lot doing work on that needed to be done ps the guy who brought my Volvo wrapped it around a tree 2 days later
@@TheParrottBros Totally! I’m not sure I could ever sell her though, smiles for miles. If I’m ever in a position to upgrade, I’ll want to keep this in a garage and fettle with it, it’s already veered from OEM, would love to one day supercharge it. One day!
Bro can I just say I love your TTs. They're the perfect colors - I've had 3 myself over the years. First was a Black 180 5spd Coupe, 176k but ran really nice and it was what hooked me. Second one was a Black 5spd 180 Roadster with 106k. That car was awesome, and thats cause I've owned MR2s/Del Sols/Miatas and I love those kinds of cars too. But the roadster was a little too round in certain areas and did feel a little bit more feminine but to be honest I didn't give a fuck what anyone thought. My Last TT was a Red 6spd 225 Quattro Coupe with only 87k, was perfect. Always wanted one in Red or man, Nogaro Blue - we didn't get that state side. Just the denim blue stuff. But I loved those cars. I drove a 01 Silver Quattro Coupe of a friend recently, and that little 225 k04 Turbo still has quite a bit of acceleration and even pins you in your seat a bit if you get on it. These cars look, Feel drive amazing. They're seriously near the very top of my fave cars, only being beaten out *narrowly* by a 93 Mazda RX-7 Twin Turbo. But even that compared to a TT - the TT is so much more polished and its comfortable. Its like closing a vault when you close the doors. Fantastic car, everone should try one!
I couldn't agree more, i would say about 50% of people when they sell a tt in later life end up back in one as they just cant find such a well rounded driving experience elsewhere :) as for colours thats personal preference but i do love my nogaro blue very much
Great vlog when you drive one it is different to other cars (nippy good handling and comfortable) i have a coupe's i just lower the back seats and the boot space is really good. Easy to load and unload .So the reputation of a hairdresser car is totally unjust. 👍👌🚘😀
Thats it Geoff, once you've got behind the wheel you get the bug! a life long disease haha i just take the back seats out as i've yet to have a passenger who could fit in there comfortably 😂
@@TheParrottBros If u buy it please keep me updated, and potentially let me buy it off u when I'll be older and the insurance will be more acceptable please 😅🙏
Got rid of my immaculate, owned from new Brilliant Red 3.2 V6 Manual 5 years ago basically gave it away when PX for a Mk.7 Golf GTi PP. Regretted ever since. 50,000 miles full Audi service history garaged and pampered. So miss that car😢😢😢😢
Ooo man thats a sad story, i hear similar ones all the time. i have one i call it the car that got away because in hind site i should have never parted with it. but at the time its whats you wanted, Man i wish my red v6 was a manual haha
Nice video Dom :) I'm do tempted to sell mine, it's a real beauty inside outside and underneathz mostly original and still all good, subtle mods and a serious amount of love from me and previous owner aswell... It will be a shame but I might have to
I’m in an absolute dilemma. I have a beloved 2001 225 cope 80k miles. It’s my pride and joy but with these fuel prices I’m really struggling to warrant it. It’s had all routine maintenance done, new clutch and flywheel, cam belt etc. Brought a £600 car to replace it and put the TT through an MOT to sell it but it passed first time no advisories so now I’m debating if I should sell such a good car that I love so much lol. I can’t decide if I should sell it while it’s still immaculate and keep the savings or keep it and have the “savings” kept in an asset in the form of a fun little occasional weekend car.
It’s funny as I thought my Tt’s were quite good on fuel if and when I drive sensibly 😂. That’s a real hard decision specially if your mostly driving round in a cheapy. Like Steve says better to be looking at it than looking for it. If you can afford to keep it and you enjoy driving it then it’s a no brainier
@@TheParrottBros Yeah I’m leaning towards keeping it, I do love it and I doubt I’ll find another that good for what I paid. Might go down the boost gauge option and see if I have a boost leak or something that’s causing the poor fuel economy, or maybe I’ve just got a heavy foot 😂
Couldnt agree more, the only variable will be how much and when, its going to be gradual for a few years im sure then will take off when stocks get low
I just hope there's a decent Quattro Sport left when I get back to England. I have my ALMS edition over here in the states and will miss it dearly when it comes time to move back to the isle.
The alms is a very cool edition and not one that made it here to the uk! yeah there are still some good Qs here you just need to prize one off of a enthusiast that has been well cared for
Sorry if I haven't made myself clear and please don't feel that you have to respond as I'm sure you have more important matters to address. My question really should have been " On viewing your video I couldn't see the rear 1/4 light on the drivers side , in particular the vertical post that provides the seal with the drivers door window , and wondered if you had carried out a modification or was it obscured by your head and the camera angle ? " Regards Eric
Hey Eric, that makes more sense thanks for clarifying, no all the doors / window trims and seals are intact it must have just been the camera angles / lighting :)
Really debating in selling my A3 1.8tQs 8l for a roadster tt but with only 120 something on the road I'm struggling to put it up for sale lol great content as per usual bud 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@TheParrottBros bizarrely I've found a 3.2 V6 on the island 25 miles from me that was advertised for parts, I've bought it and gonna give it the tlc it deserves! TT in my profile pic is it 😎🤟🏻
Dom, from what I've seen here in the US is double $$ from 2 yrs ago. $5K car now almost $10. Not sure if it's because of our used car market now with limited new vehicles but it's effecting all used makers at +15/20%.
Wow, yeah I’ve heard the us TT prices have been a lot higher than ours for a long time mainly due to supply and demand. But wow 10k$ that’s mad. Good if your looking to sell I guess haha
I believe they will go up in price just based on the sheer fact they have such a great following now, they have been very popular since they were released and like you say now they are going to be discontinued.
@@TheParrottBros love it, heater blower is dead now though :( wasn't exactly cheap, bit only lower mileage I could find similar age were cabriolet which van be found with the lowest miles generally from my experience
Always liked these, I know they aren't as "modern" as the mk2 onwards models but they just look right. Out of interest, what sort of mpg could you get from one on a 65 to 70mph cruise on the motorway? For reference, I drive a 2005 Mini cooper s with a few tweaks (circa 190bhp) and using cruise control I can drag 38 to 39 out of that on average...
I have done over 1000 miles and my average was about 37 to 38 and that's a mixture of motorway and round town. They certainly not amazing but that I can't grumble at
@@TheParrottBros ah that's not bad! Certainly no worse than I do now anyway. Good to know as an option as I fancy a bit of a change, tend towards older stuff....had also been looking at mk5 golf gti's/civic type r's for something with a touch more room. Other than an S1 not much after about 2010 interests me 😅
I have a 51 plate 225 Coupe in Kingfisher Blue with chrome comp alloys, I bought it as a 13k mile 2 owner car in 2005, it's been stored for the last 7 years and 2022 is the year it's going back on the road, still completely stock, can't wait to get it to a Parrott Bros. meet soon, thanks for all the fantastic content.
Ooo wow thats wicked, yeah please do!! i bet those wheels on that blue looks fantastic!! welcome along any time, you know where i am when you get it back on the road give me a shout and ill let you know when the next meet is
Still cheaper than in the states. I've seen 150,000 plus going for $6,000-$8,000 and they look like they've been dragged through a hedge backwards. Save one for me sir! I would love a QS, because they never made it here.
In england the price is still coming down, eventually they will bottom out as demand drops off, i think the TTS & TTRS models will maintain and grow in value but the lesser models will take a bit longer to appreciate
The headlights on your V6 look super clean, have you polished them, any tips? I have used the autoglym restorer on mine and whilst it improves them they still have bits of crazing which don't seem to shift...?
The v6 headlights are just in a really nice untouched condition. I suspect they have been changed at some point for new ones. The autoglym kit should bring them back up, ususlly if there is still material on the lights this happens. Maybe it needs a deeper sanding
The basic drivetrain is tried and true, just an ecu reflash w no bolt-ons really wakes the 225 up, and I'm sure that 6sp tranny and Haldex takes way more abuse than the oem clutch could. Design gets a little weird after that lol, I mean forged Mahle pistons and a plastic clutch pedal in the same factory car?
There is certainly some weak points that we are finding 20 years later that’s for sure. The overall design is good and built to last, certain things have been under engineered but that’s the motoring industry all over
@@TheParrottBros For some reason the vacuum lines, plumbing, coil packs, etc. go bad even on lower mileage examples, these are not Toyota Corollas. Upgraded parts are cheap though, I gather because it's vw based.
Hi, always love your relaxing vids, now I need your advise, I have 3 little cars, 2 of them are MK1 & sure one of ‘em is BAM 1.8 silver lake TTQ since 2002, swearing this car is good as daily, replaced the rocker cover gasket for the first time myself last month ! Recently I’ve been thinking to mod with Pedal box provided by XRL pedal box but I’m still pausing to purchase it, what do you think about this throttle mod anyway, I had replaced DV with 034 and it was good than old OE, now I just want to improve the throttle response a bit as well, the car is at 200K mark by now and keep clean STOCK & possible forever !Thank you, your advice I’ll appreciate, cheers!
Good to see there are still some high milers out there, its something ive had in the past, not the race chip brand but similar products in the market, they have their place, usually good on auto's where there seems to be an annoying delay haha, i have contacted them to see if they would be willing to send me one to try and review so we shall see if they get back to me, For the most part yes they work, they can be set to less or more depending on how you want delivery, some settings are unusable unless you are wanting to go full throttle every time you push the pedal!
Hey if its your love then its gotta be done, im over 10k in to the noggy one and although it is a pain in the a** every time i get behind the wheel let me tell you i fall in love all over again... until the next issue arrises ha
I'm planning to finally get round to doing a full car license this summer. I didn't want a 4 door and I was surprised by the TT's reasonably price (2-4k) for a MK1 and (3-8k) for a MK2. I found this channel while trying to research both cars a couple weeks ago. I like the idea of a DSG & paddle shifters but I'm not sure its the right move for a first car. Would you say the MK1 is a suitable first car (given it will likely need repairs / maintenance) or to go straight to a MK2? Also I tried messaging the FB page but it doesn't seem to work but maybe that's because I'm not following the page. Cheers!
It’s entirely down the preference. The older mk1 will require more maintenance due to age but has the more iconic looks and engaging driver feel, hard to get a dsg one too. The mk2 is a lot more user friendly and easier to maintain, a little more pricey and a little less driver feel. Two completely different cars. Just depends what your after

I completely agree! Bought my mk1 3.2 a couple weeks ago (featured on Car Chris channel) and already I much prefer driving it to my tts lol amazing car!
Aww yeah man i watched and commented, you have a great base care and will be a great future investment, got a bargain too !!
Just signed on a 2000 TT Quattro with 91k miles/ like 145-150k km. So stoked for my first manual and your channel is all over my algorithm now 😂 cheers from Missouri
Hahah thats wicked!! and congratulations, im expecting to see many more comments on my historical videos now 😂 any questions you know where i am
@@TheParrottBros Oh yea, found the MK1 playlist 😅 need to get accustomed to it before I delve in.
Just sold one. Check for smoke on cold. Don't be afraid to give it a good hard rev when warm make sure it's not burning oil
I haven't heard of that many having that issues, although being a turbo car and also stem seals are a possibility for sure
@@TheParrottBros i agree- great price for a low miler
I bought the cheapest running TT 225 BAM engine that I could find in France for 4.5k€, in January, after restoring a 180 AUQ coupe FWD (sad).
Here in France the access to good price for mods and parts is quite hard compared to your market in UK, but it's quite a joy to make them shiny again :)
The coupé was almost free, as it was on the way to go to the car cemetary.
Wow thats madness, would be cheaper to drive to england with a van and just fill it with parts!!
sounds like you have quite the car now though 😎
@@TheParrottBrosI think if I rebuild one more I'll indeed come to UK to buy parts haha. But chassis are in a great state here as there is no winter salting and not much rain. Underbody feels like working on a new car compared to what I have seen you doing!

Love this!
Couldn’t agree more mate
Just got myself a Moro blue MK1 225 over a month ago, really nice condition considering the age. Have to say watching your videos really helped convince me it was the right thing to do. Always loved the look of them, gives me hints of 356 vibes which again is something I loved growing up. Does now mean I'm caught in the firing line of a missus who wants a load of stuff doing to the house when I just want to get stuck into the car though!
Congrats and welcome aboard! apologies for giving you a TT problem haha so much that you can do if you like a fettle, i always tell my partner that rainy days and winter are for housework... Good luck
I’ve just bought a 2001 225bhp roadster, 2 previous owners, 77k genuine miles with fsh, completely original for £1400 … couldn’t be happier.. seen similar mint ones selling between 5k and 6k now
I’d say you got a bargain that’s for sure
When it comes to Resale value I'm always Amazed how people "follow sheep" so to say when it comes to what their car should sell for.. and most people just end up selling their TT for what is market related, Instead of asking yourself - what is my car truly worth compared to others out there?..One has to take into account the Condition, mileage and originality of your car before simply selling it for what Joe soap has his or hers on the market for..Always good watching your videos thanks! 👌OH BTW,I also drive a Red Mk1 225 and I Love it!!! 🥰
If I came back it would be for the 3.2.. having had the 225, and R32’s, the V6 was just a pleasure. Tough engine.
I can totally see why, would you have a coupe or a roadster tho?? haha
@@TheParrottBros coupe. Leave the roadster for the women and hairdressers 😂😂
Couldn’t agree more 😎
I was thinking the same thing!
The red one is properly tasty. The seats look brand new too! Nice one Dom. Take care.
thanks buddy, yeah stephens is very nice indeed, ill be up in scotland for 5 days beginning of october if your about
After watching BWS TT's & your videos, I finally bought a very nice 2005 Mk1.

Wow sounds like you have it well sussed!! atleast you have invested in the future with trouble free motoring by getting and doing all that is needed

Absolutely the one that got away! Did I try tracing the reg but no luck unfortunately.
Ooo man, is it still mot’d? Worth a post on the TT page on fb maybe
Must be where you live as when I’m out and about I hardly ever see one on the road and believe me it’s not through lack of looking 😂

Very nice indeed, how are you finding the roadster? I love mine well when it’s sunny anyway haha

Fun fact: In Hungary the average price of a 1999 MK1 TT is about 4000 pounds already. And the prices are skyrocketing further.
Wow thats good money, i may have to send some old ones over there to sell haha
Keep it… classic cars have been better then money in the bank, plus you get a smile for every mile you drive it and you cannot put a price on that.
It’s funny as I thought my Tt’s were quite good on fuel if and when I drive sensibly 😂. That’s a real hard decision specially if your mostly driving round in a cheapy. Hey Dom, HI again from Canada, I kknow you are a MK1 guy but what about the MK2 do you think that the price on them will also increase ?
Thanks for that but the vertical frame seems to be absent ?
I’m lost as to what we are discussing
Good to see there are still some high milers out there, its something ive had in the past, not the race chip brand but similar products in the market, they have their place, usually good on auto's where there seems to be an annoying delay haha, i have contacted them to see if they would be willing to send me one to try and review so we shall see if they get back to me,
For the most part yes they work, they can be set to less or more depending on how you want delivery, some settings are unusable unless you are wanting to go full throttle every time you push the pedal!
@@TheParrottBros glad to hear that , wish they will grant you soon !
Definitely the right time to buy one, as I'm selling mine..😂
Hahahaha! Love that, good luck with the sale
Think i might decide to keep to be honest, just needs a replacement turbo, as the old one has leaking oil seals, so is smoking like a chimney.
Slowly doing mine up, 140k but I feel she's worth the investment
Hey if its your love then its gotta be done, im over 10k in to the noggy one and although it is a pain in the a** every time i get behind the wheel let me tell you i fall in love all over again... until the next issue arrises ha
Forgive my ignorance but in your video where is the rear window on the drivers side ?
Rear 1/4 glass
Just depends what your after
Hey Dom, quick question - what is that splitter on your 3.2? Is that a cupra one or is it that custom restore 44 splitter? Thanks!
Believe it or not it’s a £15 splitter from Amazon, it was fitted by the previous owner. It’s called a universal splitter, comes on a roll and is an L shape. Has 3m tape on it
@@TheParrottBros woha, that looks really good! And then if it's light enough to hold with a tape you don't have to drill that precious v6 bumper
They are way cheaper in uk, bought one lhd 225 for 4k eur and it was a steal
Where abouts are you based just for context 😀
@@TheParrottBros Lithuania 😊
@@gedde8182 Ooo! do you see many TT's when out driving?
@@TheParrottBros not rly, its an old thirsty car, so you have to be a TT enthousiast to have one 😅defo not for daily use 😆
@@gedde8182 bet its cool when you see another on the road then haha, i daily mine, dunno if it counts as dont usually drive the same one twice in a week althought they are all bad on fuel haha
In Portugal you buy a audi tt mk1 for 5.000euros, i have one for 1999 180cv and i pay 6.000euros à Five years ago with 163.000km. I have many problems.
Ooo wow yeah so demand is high and supply is low, what sort of issues have you had? is it quattro or fwd
Got mine 2003…
Are the 180bhp versions any good on fuel for a daily doing shorter trips?
Most versions driven nicely should return reasonable mpg, depends on your drive. Round town not brilliant. On a run late 30’s
love your videoa
Thanks man means a lot
Hi!! I want to ask, how expensive is to maintenance the TT?
Learn to do it yourself, saves you so much money
How do I book a appointment with you in your garage to have I good look over mine and give me a price on everything it needs to be a mint car ???
Hey gary, i dont actually work on others cars, bryn is your man for that. email him at Bookings@bwstt.co.uk
