I have just watched a review you did on a base Porsche Boxster a car which I have owned before buying my 2017Audi TT S line roadster four years ago. There are many things I like about the Audi but it does not handle anywhere near as good as the Boxster. Fuel economy is good, better than the Boxster
The TT will never handle as well as a mid-engined two-seater with a Porsche chassis, but as far as a vehicle built on a primarily FWD platform goes, it's not bad. The TT is much more usable than a Boxster would be in a daily sense, partly due to packaging and partly due to running costs. Both excellent cars, though - I must compliment you on your taste!
Nice specimen of a car Jasper. Good review, can I ask why you chose this car over your previous car? Seems quite a change. I like Audi cars but have never owned one☹️. Perhaps one day I’ll get the chance to own one. Enjoyed the review as ever 😊 - take care, Paul.
I'm very much enjoying it so far! I was missing having something sporty and fast in my life, and it turned out that if it snows where I live in not getting to work even in a Range Rover, so one of the main justifications went out of the window! 🤣 Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you! I do like the colour a lot! Yes, this is the S-Line, which gives you sportier styling, stiffer suspension, nicer alloys and some fancier bits in the interior, but still only with the 230PS that the standard Quattro model of the TT produces.
It would be a bit of an expensive first car to buy and run. It's a great car, but due to the lower seating position it will be more difficult to position on the road than a hatchback, and you've got worse visibility due to the coupe roof too. We know that cars tend to be more expensive in Ireland too, and especially as a first car, we'd recommend something cheaper.
Great choice! If you're looking at new cars, we've just put a video out on the new Swift this evening: ruclips.net/video/JRpi3tOBUVc/видео.htmlsi=6rUQDJjpBcS-7iwC, but if you're looking for older cars, we've also got a video on an older Swift Sport (most of which will be applicable to non-sport versions of the same age) here: ruclips.net/video/2TBAy4Wu6AQ/видео.htmlsi=zLR5AA3dBUAve1jD
DSG is smooth on shifts and in town? DSG of every TT mk3 is always jerky at low speeds (usually when you are parking). Try to parallel park without it lurching on you. I dare you :D
I've never had a problem with trying to park the car at low speeds, it's a case of being incredibly gentle with your pedal inputs. A DSG will never be quite as smooth as you can make a manual, and obviously miles behind a conventional automatic gearbox.
Hi Paul, the car in this video doesn't have a Manual Gearbox as it was not possible to get the manual in the 2.0 TFSI Quattro TT. (TTS, yes) As a result there is no discussion about engagement of a manual gearbox?
Hi yeah but you mentioned it’s not as engaging as a manual gearbox. I know you could only get the manual with front wheel drive but to me the gear stick and notching was just not fitting for a sports car which I was hoping for that’s why I tried one and was hoping to save a little bit of money at the same time
@@BuckleUpShow no they are not, look at any car spec list and you will not see them referred to as wing mirrors. They stopped being wing mirrors when they were relocated to the doors but some people have just not made the adjustment.

@@BuckleUpShow not without quoting the actual restriction which is written right there on the door frame. It's about 1.4m without going to look at mine.
1.45 m, though it's more guidance, as different people have different length bodies and legs. Someone may have short legs but a long body and be less than 1.45 m, but their head would still touch the roof. You don’t have to defend the car's shortcomings just because you own one. It’s objectively poor rear passenger space.
If you're on about times you can see the left hand dial, that's the indication of drive mode and what gear you're in. In which case your "53" is actually "S3", in other words, the gearbox is in Sport setting and in 3rd 😅

Why spend so much time in the back? There is a sticker on the door in the shot that tells you the max height for rear passengers.
