    What does your innermost locking mechanist look like. What is the name of face plate and lock with key box?

    Dude perfect timing i am looking at getting this one! How was delivery? If you got it delivered. Also was it extremely difficult to move to the spot you wanted it?
    Thanks by the way!

      I picked it up from my local BJ's club. I used one of their flat carts to get it to my trailer and then slid it on the trailer. I'd suggest having 2 adults for this. It slides fairly easy on it's side and the cardboard is fairly thick so I didn't get any scratches. Once at home I stood it up removed the cardboard and "walked" it into place. Mine is on the first floor without any stairs, but stairs aren't bad if you have a hand truck and 2 strong people. I highly suggest strapping The safe to the hand truck with a ratchet strap or similar. The door comes off easily once opened to reduce the weight some. Sorry I couldn't review how the delivery, but I have heard mixed reviews about safe deliveries regarding and if the delivery folks will go up or down any steps. If stairs apply to your situation I would confirm this before ordering. Good luck with the new purchase.

    Thanks! do you happen to have the interior dimensions? I was wonder how wide each side of the main , non removeable areas are !

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  Год назад +1

      51.75" high x 18.25" wide x about 14" deep. The width of each shelf that fits on the sides of the center, non removable support, is 8.75" wide. I say about on the depth because it depends on what you may or may not have in the door pockets which, when closed, takes usable depth. Hope this helps.

    I just bought this and the feet are still attached to the actual safe and I am having trouble removing them. Any ideas?

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  7 месяцев назад +2

      Tip the safe on its side or back (not on the front) and you will see 4 bolts, 2 per side, that hold the feet onto the bottom of the safe. Remove those and the feet will come off. The front door comes off fairly easily to make moving the safe easier. Open the door and pull straight up and it will slide right off. Congrats on the new purchase. I recommend putting a good Energizer or Duracell battery in the lock.

    Hey man. Great video. Lookin at getting one. Hows the long term life on it. Is there a long term review ?

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  8 месяцев назад +3

      Thanks. I've had it a year now and it still works as new. It's been opened and closed approximately 200 plus times without issue. Carpet and shelves still like new as well. I'm sure there are better quality units out there, but this one works for my needs. I will say the 18 gun capacity is only for simple long guns without pistol grips or optics. Add pistol grips and it would drop to about 12. Add pistol grip and optics and I'd say maybe 9. Good luck with your decision.

    Can be able to put lights?

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  5 месяцев назад

      There isn't a hole in the safe from the factory in order to run a plug out. I put a battery powered touch light in order to add some light.

    Can you add an electric dehumidifier such a golden rod in this safe?

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  5 месяцев назад

      There isn't a hole in the safe from the factory, in order to plug one of those in. I just use desiccant bags and haven't had any problem with humidity/gun rust.

    If the battery dies, can it be changed out with the safe closed?

    • @redhawkvalley
      @redhawkvalley  Год назад +1

      Yes it can. The keypad comes off from the outside easily. It also comes with 2 keys to open it if the keypad dies and you need to get inside before a new battery is installed.

    No offense but those aren't safes. They are Sheetrock covered by thin sheet metal. They marketing is extremely deceptive. Just wanted to let you know that it can be compromised in a short period of time. Thank you.

      Sorry to hear it's not working for you. Did it not even open with the backup keys? I assume you followed the steps on pages 2 and 3 of the manual fully and tried the factory code of 1 - 5 - 9 - # I hope the manufacture makes it right for you.

      You probably used a cheap 9V battery. You have to use Energizer or Duracell. Otherwise, the digital lock will not work.
