    about the garden: i learnt that it’s the english botanical garden and it got this name because it belonged to a scottish nobleman who had to escape england to taormina in the 1880s for safety after it was discovered she had an affair with the heir to the english throne. she loved gardening so much she brought english roses to plant there as she married and lived in a villa on the property and since she had a green thumb, as they say, the garden bloomed wonderfully and eventually in 1922 became property of the town.

    Hello the bottels of water are there for don't let the cats or dogs do toilet in that spot. in Malta we do the same.
