Your observations are profound. I was born in the US, my father's family is from a small town in Basilicata. Your video was very helpful in helping me understand why I want to move to Italy and why I struggle living in modern society. I am happy for your discoveries. Congratulazioni!
My husband & I were in Sicily just before Covid, celebrating our 50th anniversary. BEST trip ever.!!! [All places you went & more] Food, scenery, history....best ever. We spent more time on the West coast.
I’m a new follower and I’m also Sicilian born and raised in Chicago and that seafood platter just made me happy. Sometimes I don’t want a big meal, give me some wine, cheese, olives and crusty bread and I’m one happy girl. Happy I found you guys.❤
Hey guys, best video on Sicily I have seen yet. I've lived in Palermo and absolutely love Sicily and most RUclipsrs somehow do a terrible job of showing the real Sicily and how amazing the food is but you guys, fantastic! Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your family trip. I have been to many of the places you went to and it was exciting to relive it through your eyes. But, I've never been to Tripani or Erice and now I have to go. Thank you
Thank you .Great video.I have visit only Palermo ,i was travelling with my son 3 veeks in Italy: Palermo ,Napoli Firenze Rooma Venis and Milano ,from where we fly back home to Finland.❤
I just stumbled across your video on RUclips and absolutely loving it! I’ve only been to Italy once and that was to Rome in 2015. I recently married and my spouse’s grandparents were born and raised in Sicily before moving to the US in the 1920’s. We were planning on a two week trip to Italy in the fall of 2024 with plans of visiting Rome, Tuscany and Sicily. After seeing this video, we know that we need to remove our plans to visit Tuscany, and maybe Rome, as apparently there is so much to do and see in Sicily. Thanks so much for a wonderful video. I look forward to see your other videos!
What was your itinerary as far as entry and exit onto Sicily and where you went? I’d like to bring my adult kids and hubby on a Sicily trip this September, my great grandparents came from Messina to NYC in 1906 so want to hang there too ( we’ve never been abroad from US)
Love, love, LOVE this video! Whoever does your editing deserves an award and you deserve thousands more subscribers. The videography is beautifully enticing, you are all so natural, so normal and telegenic and the choice of unobtrusive music is absolutely perfect. Molto bene.
You guys are fantastic, I love the fact you’re avoiding the big towns, tourist traps. The content, your editing all excellent. Special mention to Mum and Dad, seem like great people.
Another great video. Watching your video brought back great memories of my trip to Sicily-Italy. Really like the way you show the faces of local people. This definitely gives your videos their own special branding. Keep up the great creative work.
Sicily looks absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful trip with us. Your video was so interesting & informative - and just beautiful, because you can virtually feel everything as if we are right there with you. 🤩🤩
You guys are awesome thank you ,.. my wife and I have a trip planned this September, no plans on Sicily, but I’ve been watching nothing but Sicilian videos lately, we may have to take the ferry lol, peace and blessings!
Beautiful family video!! Great filming. We liked the the way the trip was laid out in the video. It was easy to understand & made Sicily seem very doable. Thank you!!
MARION YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL ADORABLE SEDUCTIVE RAVISHING SEXY CAPTIVATING AND PASSIONATE YOUR BEAUTY IS PHENOMENAL IF MICHELANGELO WERE ALIVE TODAY YOU WOULD BE HIS MUSE LET ME FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU MARCVOLPE ❤
This might be the best video I’ve seen on exploring a region in Italy. Your family is lovely. I asked Chat GPT where I should live in Italy and entered the things I wanted in a place. Taormina was one of 3 😊❤🇮🇹
Congratulations for the videos, you are very nice and the photos of the local people randomly inserted in the editing are beautiful. Greetings from Florence P.S. 29:52 it's swordfish not tuna.
It's not Croissants, it's "Cornetti" (Plural), or "Cornetto" (Singular). The are alot of variants of it but the base taste, composition, and shape is different from french croissants. I'm Sicilian.
@sammyandtommy, the excitement I feel while watching your worldly adventures nudges me closer and closer to taking that leap of faith that I feel is sometimes calling me across the globe. The way you incorporate charm, culture and just plain fun into your stories, leaves me wishing I was there with you. I may be more of a country boy at heart, but I would love to find out what I'm like hanging out with the two of you in a place like Sicily. Tommy, I remember a past vlog where you shared how certain cities and cultures were slowly changing how you think about being around people, this intrigues me to wonder if I to would also have a similar feeling.
Sammy, Tommy we are here in Taormina now and following your itin, but not that hill climb. We also bailed on paying to go to the theater and later remembered you did the same. Off to Ortiga and Agrigenta tmrw.
Loved your video. How long were you in Sicily for? You covered a lot of the island. How many hours a day were you guys driving? We are heading back there in February for 2 weeks and ended up planning only the north and north east of the islands because I thought it would be to much driving. Should we revisited our itinerary?
Best video of beautiful Sicily, thank you so much for taking me along! cheers to your many more adventures! P.S. I love seabass, went to order a pound at my local grocery store, the fish clerk came and stood beside me and said, I can order it in fresh for you, however, its $65 per pound! :(
Love your video! Beautiful couple and love that you brought your parents along. Can you please send me the link of the airbnb you stayed in Castellamare? We’re going next month, yay!!
I love Tommy’sparents, talking about their kids are so cheap. My kids too , when I travel with them , doesn’t want to pay to see the church inside 😂.Love Sicily, I went last summer there. Beautiful people , beautiful land 🙌😍🇮🇹
Hi Sammy and Tommy. We watched your Sicily videos and thought they were great at giving us a glimpse of what we can do on a trip to Sicily. Wondering if you can share some insights on your accommodations, food tour guides and travel guides in general in Sicily. We're not big on the seafood and are wondering if the food tours offer itineraries focusing on pastas, fish (not seafood) and meat. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for sharing your family trip!
Hi there, we booked most of our accommodation through booking . com and in our food tour video there is a link to that food tour. I think they do make accommodation for dietary restrictions , you would just have to let them know. Of course there are tons on non seafood options all around, the food is incredible! You can message us on IG for anything specific 🤗
