Thanks mate, glad you can relate to what I do. The part about them behaving naturally is very important to me, hence I try to set up all my tanks in the ratio of 90% space 10% fish. Enjoying the fishes this way is really something else.
Hey mate I am pretty sure there are!Like the Bamabass guy who went to the extent of building a man made lake just to indulge in his favourite sports fishing species 🙂
@@kenttee9828 hey mate, actually I don't/can't clean the substrate at all but with the strong flow, most debris get sucked up by the pump while some do get settled at the bottom but with the low stocking etc, it will be fine. And the small cichlids really help a lot with the overall cleaning.
You think so mate? I don't know man, some also commented that it could be a Forkshali when it was about 6" big. I once had a Big eye and that was easy to identify lol.
It can be tilapia, baby snakehead and koi, really depending on what you can get your hands on. And feed those live feeders good quality pellets. I feed commercial fish pellets to all my feeders. I know some are against koi for fear of parasite and perhaps also Thiaminase. The former can be treated and the latter is negligible in my opinion. Hope it helps! How big is your African tiger fish now?
@@josephaquaria2051 thanks for the info very helpful 👍 mine is a young fish he is 6 to 7 cm I have bought him because I saw yours on here I have a aquarium full of guppies can I feed him them only?
@@sontrinh1457 Yes you can but as he grows the guppies would be too small for him, by then you will need to move to something else like tilapias which is also very easy to breed. Anyway try to start him off in a big tank so that you won't need to move him at all/too many times in the future. And a big tank from the get go will also help a lot in the speed of growth.
@@sontrinh1457 Just like in my case, from 5" to 20" in 7 months is unbelievable, all thanks to the big space. In a small space it could take years. Anyway hope to see the progress of your fish one day.
Yes try to start them in as big space as you could, not matter how small the tiger is because they are very skittish and can get spooked easily and then kill themselves by slamming into the glass, although I do not know for sure if yours died due to that reason. My smaller Goliath died that way.
Absolutely, they are swimmers, it probably stressed him instantly. I wouldn't start them in anything less than a 75gal. But more so, it doesn't sound like your water quality was good at all. Did you test the parameters before you added it? Also did you have a lot of flow and oxygen?
@@josephaquaria2051 the OUTSIDE dimensions give it a capacity of only 1,870 gallons... so inside dimensions of the tank are not going to be any more than 1,750 gallons... probably a bit less than that. Just sayin'.
Epic setup ❤
Wow the fish must love a tank that big! You rock dude!
Thanks man, I really love seeing fishes behaving in their most natural behaviour 🙂
That tank one of the best scapes etc ive ever seen wow well d9ne budd looks amazing gulper catfish would love that

@@josephaquaria2051 welcome budd awsome tank
Its nice to see this fish being kept in a proper tank all by itself
Thanks man! That's a big enjoyment for me, big space, less fish.
Awesome video, I love watching these guys act as they would in their natural habitat. Got a sub outta me.

Do think a 18 inch Vittatus will eat a 5 inch swordtail? Cause I dont wanna feed him goldfish.
finally someone cappable of holding them ! without dying by smashing the glas! good job dude
Hey thanks mate! And they are best enjoyed that way too.
Great video 👍
Thank you mate, and happy holidays!

Clownfish sucker fish tomatoe tomato 😅
Nice bro
Thanks mate!
What size is your tank bro, beautiful tiger
Thanks man, its 10x5x5, just below 2000 gallons with sump in and all.
Beautiful tank. What’s the dimensions on that tank
Thanks mate! Its 10x5x5 in feet...
Beast!! Do u only feed him live feeders? And how many times a day or weeks?
indeed he is! Yes only live feeders and at this growing out stage they will want to feed daily so he will take about 2-3 feeders each day.
And the live feeders are properly raised too with good quality diet and all.
Nice!! The beast is in very good hands 👏💪
How often do you clean the bottom substrate Of the tank?

You know... It is actually looks like a Tanzaniae tiger because of the head shape and kind of square tail.
