The Tigerfish fish are amazing, at first glance I thought the smaller one was missing his right eye, just bad lighting.
Good to see the gar I sent to you is doing good (1:18). I had him for 22yrs before we moved.
Since you keep getting bigger tanks for ever bigger fish, I’ll bet the most frequent lament is, “We’re gonna need a bigger net!” :-)
The bigger tank and nice plant cover should reduce stress on the tigers , as far as I can understand 😄

Holy cow this is one impressive collection and setup. Ever tried using laundry baskets instead or in conjunction with nets for fish transfers? Just make sure to deburr the edges.

Honestly most people use too small of nets or try to go to fast most of the time they sike themselves out if you go slow
It's only now you can really see that the aussie is 15 times its original size.

I’d be draining that tank down some to get those GATF…. I lost mine bc he smashed into the glass… I wasn’t even trying to net him I was sitting at my desk on the other side of the room and seen him spaz for no reason and swim full blast into the glass… sad day was my favorite fish…

Ponds looking good boys how many gallons is it good and clear pumping water through uv sterilizer works great on my own but it is much smaller then your lake mine is 500 gallon and turtles
Are all your ponds on one system? If so how do you keep nitrates at bay other then a LOT of plants or LOTS of water changes ?
Australian here, as a kid we used to walk through the local creek with a sandy bottom and there’d be regular dips with lungfish nests. sometimes we could see them swimming around in there. weird to see one in an aquarium!

You should just tint the sky lights. Would probably be cheaper and easier.
Do you ever worry about fish jumping out of the predator pond?
Aren't there any semi-transparent film products you could apply directly on the skylights to shade out UVB or whatever light rays cause the algae to grow? It's gotta be easier to get on your roof and do some peel-and-stick plastic sheeting instead of draping unsightly fabrics along one side of multiple skylights from over a huge pool. Just a thought.
I don't know if the stuff they use to do aftermarket automotive window tints comes in a suitable grade for your purposes but something along those lines?

ohio rescue you have some knowledge on paroons, if i rescued one that has been in a 40g since a couple years and its stunted would a 10x20ft pond be enough? cause the 1300g tank i will be building definately wont. these are active fish
Paroons are active always just like sharks. Try having a circular pond so that they don't bump into walls when they go to corner when they outgrow, or have something like bigR.. 🙂
@@anooj1111 this is the biggest dimension possible it must be indoors cause even in summer its too cold, 40g tank with a 10" paroon is just sad
@@superdragon3060 paroon grows upto 4ft that's what internet says(might be in captive 3ft). If 10 ft wide pond it might be ok, but they are more aggressive in tighter space, add companies accordingly. Happy fish keeping.
