This is as good as it gets for large freshwater aquarium fish. Which is why large fish should not be allowed in the aquarium trade.

I love when he does these tours of OFR. Better than some aquariums I’ve been to and they have some species I’ve never even seen before. To call this place amazing is a complete understatement.

Spent over an hour telling my father all about the Rescue and the wonderful people behind all the hard work done for the fish. Thankfully I have someone that will accompany to go buy supplies for my new 40B gal stand while I talk non stop about OFR. ❤❤ keep up the good work guys.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! I enjoyed every second of that tour. It's always been my dream to have a big tank like that. I haven't gotten larger than a 75 gallon tank. I've always wanted to get one at least over 100 gallons. I started out with a 10 gallon tank when I was a kid and I've been hooked ever since. That collection is out of this world. I can't imagine how expensive all those tanks must be to maintain.
I could spend all day there just zoning out with all those beautiful tanks.

This young man really knows his stuff...plants, fish, filters...amazing. What a lot of work. That red tail catfish is a standout.
This just reminds me how hard I cringe when I go to a big box pet store and see tiny baby fish species for sale that get huge. There is no justifiable reason for big box stores to sell anything that can't live its life out in a ten gallon tank. I only have my medium size fish like my silver dollars and common pleco because I have a 400 gallon tank and would never buy anything that I didn't have the means to let live a full life in my care. Keep up the good work.
YES! I was in one of the box stores a year or so ago and they had tin foil barbs about the size of a quarter. There was a little sign on the tank that said "I need a 20 gallon tank to call home!" and I thought, "yeah... for the first 6 months, and then what?"
It's ridiculous that this stuff is allowed to happen in the industry. I'm glad there are fish rescues to take these fish when they reach the size where the owners are overwhelmed and don't know what to do, but it shouldn't even be an issue in the first place.
@@BDThomas well, after that they figure you can still keep the fish in the tank so long as you remove the substrate…. decorations….. and water. So what’s the problem? ;)

im a local fish breeder in australia, i have roughly 1300 gallons worth of tanks. i am in love with your set up, its mind blowing.
largest setup i ever operated was 10,500 gallons worth of tanks (only 2 small ponds, 90% glass tanks)
