One question i put to you Isaiah 66 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, And your bones shall flourish like grass; The hand of the Lord shall be known to His servants, And His indignation to His enemies. For behold, the Lord will come with fire And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword The Lord will judge all flesh; And the slain of the Lord shall be many. “Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves, To go to the gardens After an idol in the midst, Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse, Shall be consumed together,” says the Lord . “For I know their works and their thoughts. It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see My glory. I will set a sign among them; and those among them who escape I will send to the nations: to Tarshish and Pul and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the Lord out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the Lord , “as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord . And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites,” says the Lord . “For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord , “So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord . “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” Isaiah 66:14-24 NKJV If the food laws are done away with as he states then why when Jesus returns in this future prophecy will people be condemned by eating swine flesh?? I agree with the main message God has a standard and as it says in Deut You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2 NKJV And rev For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19 NKJV He has a few errors in the end I perceive. If you read the chapter where the sheet comes done with the unclean food and not stop where he did you will find out it was a vision about going to the gentiles and not calling them unclean or common as the jews did they wouldn't sit with gentiles as they where a lower class. When God says dont eat somthing should we listen to him?? Or find someone that will explain a way around the sin..
@@benjensen8700 Isaiah was using it as an example of the disobedience. It was sinful for the Jews to eat swine flesh, since God had commanded them not to. God does command different things at different times. For example He told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, but then He said not to. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the presence of all, “If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews? - Galatians 2:14 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. - Colossians 2:16-17
@@benjensen8700 Shalom aleichem Ben, 😇 You make a very good point and it's as far as i understand not the point he makes that the law is completly abolished. That's also not where the discussion between Peter and Paul was about. It was about salvation as a gift of God or salvation by keeping the law. Salvation could be possible by keeping the law for sure but you would have to keep the law from birth to death without making a single mistake. I myself would not bet on that horse because i know i would surely fail... 😅 The othere horse is the gift God has given, which is salvation through Jesus Christ. We as humans have broken the law and are requiered by law to pay for it by death. But not only the seperation between our soul and body but also our soul and God. This is what hell is! 🔥🔥🔥 It's not possible to pay for our transgressions of the law in any other way. Except by the death of someone who has kept the law perfectly. Jesus Christ or better known by his own words the God of the old testament. 🕊️ Our faith in his sacrifice is what will save us from God's rightous punishment. And because of that gift we will keep the law because God will renew our heart, so we really desire what is good and hate what is wrong! 🕊️❤️😇 So to keep it short: - Do you keep the law to try to bribe God to let you get into his kingdom? - Or do you believe in the sacrifice of the by God given lam, which is sacrificed to pay for your transgressions? And do everything within your power to keep the law out of gratitute?
❤Amen, indeed, R.C. left a great legacy! When Johnny Mac (😂 R.C.'s name for Pastor John McArthur) was asked what, "What do you miss about R.C.?," Pastor MacA said, "Everything" 🎉
The definitions of legalism and antinomianism I found extremely helpful. Yes, we're called to freedom in Christ. We are also called to holiness of life. And by our fruit we will be known. I pray for the Lord to purify me of everything in me that displeases Him, and that I will have the courage and faith to obey unswervingly.
Well said, I'm praying this for all of us listening to this message from God's Word of Truth through His servant R.C. Sproul. Specifically I'm praying for our Sanctification = 1) For those who are justified and Righteous in His Eyes, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ and his precious gift of faith and Grace Alone (2 Peter 1:1, Acts 15:11, Romans 10:4, Philippians 3:9). Now thanking Our Great Triune God that we are being Made Holy, day by day, with ever increasing Glory = 2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:16 & Hebrews 10:14= "14 Because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever, those who are Being Made Holy." 2) Praying from Paul's prayer in his first Holy Spirit inspired Epistle to the Thessalonians = 1Thess. 5:23-25= "23 May God Himself, the God of Peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The One who calls you is Faithful and He will do it. 25 Brothers, Pray for us." In Jesus' Name above all names, so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father, and that we may bear much lasting fruit, showing ourselves to be His Disciples. Amen (John 14:13-14, 15:7-8,16)
The Best Sermon Of My Young Christian Life,God Bless RC Sproul ,This Man Has Taught Me Almost Everything Ive Leaned About Reformed Theology and Predestination and Set Me Free From The Evil Ones Accusations ,RIP My Beloved Brother in Christ!
I just stumbled across this AWESOME message by 'chance' although its not really chance. Its the Lord leading, and I give Him thanks for it. I have heard of Sproul before. But never minded to listen but oh gosh. What a wonderful gracious message it has been. I think I rewinded a few parts on here a few times. I think I could listen to this wise servant of GOD for hours. A seasoned maturity coming out of His message. What a delight to know there are still good men of faith in the pulpit still out there. God bless!
I know this was 3 years ago but I hope your still going strong in the Faith. Sproul, McArthur, Paul Washer and John Piper are my favorites, the Gospel of Christ is changing my life though these diligent servants.
@@innkeeper4144 Beloved, John Piper has taken a turn for the worst ; he is doctrinally unsound now! The aforementioned would not recommend him nor does he associate with them anymore( RC is with the Lord now) ! You need to do some research .
@@innkeeper4144 I really like RC Sproul, John MacArthur, John Barnett, Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, Ken Ham and Jordan Peters. Costi Hinn, the nephew of (apostate) Benny Hinn, converted and graduated from The Master’s Seminary. Sound in doctrine and a real heart for Christ. There are others as well, of course. Godly men with such clarity of thought, committed to sound doctrine and hearts for Christ. I’m grateful RC’s sermons are available. I really miss him. I think he and John MacArthur were best friends. I’ve read some things about John Piper that are concerning, too. Sadly.
Its known by many, as 'the anointing' - the 'spiritual pull', and it accompanies the true teachers in the faith. Its God's seal of approval in that ministry/capacity.
@@jaycbattle Sorry you have a prob with my poor description. I meant only I wish people were as excited about Jesus as his man seems to be. Chill, brother. You might chase somebody away.
Well, that is the difference then between you and me. I believe He is a wolf in sheep's clothing that never preaches the gospel. He preaches works salvation because He is a Calvinist and the only way a Calvinist can know he is saved is by works. He does not believe Romans 11:6 or John 3:16 because it does not agree with his believe system. Not because it is what the bible says.
Not in this video, but in others. He says there is not such thing as a carnal Christian, and that he does not believe Jesus said John 3:16; He does not believe Romans 6:23 That the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I am sorry, I can not find it. But if you type in his video on carnal Christians you will see He does not believer there are those. But First Corinthians 5:5 clearly teaches there are those believers that are living in sin. And God does chasten His children, John 6:47, and we still reap what we sow, but carnal believers are just as saved as the greatest saints. But our rewards are different. Salvation is a free gift from God. It has nothing to do with how we live or what we do. We can only be saved by what Jesus did for us, not by anything we do. But when we do right, we lay up treasure in heaven, and when we sin we lose rewards. Romans 11:6 and Romans 4:4-8. RC preaches a lot of good things like this one today. But He does not believe that God has given man a free will, and that only those God has chosen are saved. First Timothy 2:4 and First John 2:2. He believes God forces people to believe against there own will. Ephesians 1:13 says, we are not given the Holy Spirit until we believe the gospel, First Corinthians 15:1-4.
He says we have to submit to the Lordship of Christ to be saved. Works salvation. We have to do nothing to be saved but believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31 Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved, through FAITH, and that not of yourselves, (we did nothing for it) it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. All we have to do is believe it to receive the free gift of salvation by grace. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and beleiveth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. He mixes salvation by grace, with discipleship. They are completely two different things. No one ever got save by following Jesus or making Jesus Lord of our life. We get saved by believing the gospel, that our sin debt is paid in full, and we can never be condemned again. John 3:18
I found it. rc sproul the most distorted verse I the bible. John 3:16 He leaves out that we have to believe it to be saved. So, He does not believe Jesus said it. Because He does not believe the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried, and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. When we believe that gospel, and that as a believer we can never be condemned again, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13 and 4:30. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him that sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have EVERLASTING LIFE, AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP ON THE LAST DAY. RC calls Jesus a liar.
Brother Sproul we miss you, and are thankful you can speak to us from beyond the grave (before our electricity is taken from us). What joy you must have now!
Wow oh wow the richness! I stumbled upon this message, and what a GIFT! Coming from an upbringing of legalism and working to please an angry God, this sermon just hits deep. To God be the Glory!!!
R.C., very, very good...to connect actions as "Christian" instead of what God said!!! Thank you and even the title tells the truth. I have listened to this sermon several times and then went back to just read the transcript. What an excellent sermon full of truth and wisdom!!@@
RC was a phenomenal influence on my life through his teaching and preaching ministry. I still miss him all the more all this time since his passing. Through the miracle of video and audio and the printed page, though RC is present with the Lord and though he is dead, RC still speaks the truth of the Gospel. I thank God for this man and his ministry.
Hi. I have listened to lot of his talks. In one he talks about being in heaven after he dies. Didn't he believe in the resurrection of the dead when Jesus returns? I am confused.
Oh Brother Sproul I wish you were here to comment on the current situation in churches with the mask wearing, social distancing and (apparent) need to submit to the governing authorities. A year now after the truth of things can be seen and understood clearly.
He doesn’t have to. The Bible is still here and so is God’s Holy Spirit. And also, he addresses that in this very message: “Don’t major on the minors.”
God gave us HIS Word. As much as we miss Dr. R.C. Sproul, before and after RC was His Word, still available to us. We must continue evangelism now that we have received and are commanded to share as well. Secular issues do not exceed scriptures, in fact, scriptures prophesied this would happen as well as our response - "press on". "Greater is HE that is in You than he that is in the world", amen? Peace ✝️
@ZoneFighter1 True. But in recent decades and with the covid debacle the Executive bypasses the Legislative branch. And is dictatorial. Usually via Executive orders. When Trump tried to invoke Executive orders they all came out to stop him and said he couldn't do it. That he was overexercising his authority. I think Trump used much less of his authority than he should/could have. I think he thought he was going to be reelected and then in his second term he could really do the things that he ran his platform on.
Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow
I appreciate this message as it accurately describes the definition of “the weaker brother.” I’m in a situation that this has been applied in appropriately. The opposite was the intention, in my case, was to point out real sin and to avoid it but this principle of the weaker brother was applied instead. R. C. was a great Theologian that I am, of late, beginning to more and more appreciate due to the clarity he brings into complex issues in scripture. So thankful that at 3am I can listen to and appreciate such a needful message; What a Devine providence, it is.
Man I can’t thank Pastor Sproul enough for this message. Dealing with a situation that falls inline with this Topic. Pray that the Brother would receive the biblical encouragement. 🙏🏽🎚
Thank God I got to listen to this precious teacher even after his passing. I wish I knew him way before, but I praise God because his teachings, as well as those of MacArthur, Baucham, Washer and so on have been a blessing lately.
Thank you, Father, for the gifts you have given to the church. Those gifts that keep us from being tossed to and fro by every wave of doctrine! R.C. was one of those gifts. Would that put pastors would labor over the word, that they might bring the unfettered gospel to the church!
Amazing grace...first message on this topic that I have heard...Sproule provides deep and wide context to our relationship with the weaker brother...Do not allow compassion and empathy for a weaker brother to degrade to legalism...where he imposes his moral absolutes on you. Legalism is no substitute for the blood atonement of Christ and a personal relationship with Him.
Mark 8:5-9 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

Wow, well I have been contending for this same point to Christians around me--in particular church "leadership" for many years now. I have given serious thought to making this argument on RUclips. It is great to finally hear someone with the visibility of Mr. Sproul bringing it. Christianity has become Karenanity for some and Antinomianism for others. The Truth is not between these two errors--a little of one and a little of the other--it is away from them.
So I made my previous comment before actually watching this video, but my comment was vindicated. I was not disappointed, but rather blessed. Mr. Sproul and I read from the same Bible.
I came across the title and wondering what the message would be from its title. A very clear and timely message indeed, and thanking God for His providence in the passionate delivery by His faithful servant.
Your comment is 6 months old now, but I just wanted you to know that I feel your pain. I was only a SDA for about 3 years, but the teachings of that cult did some serious spiritual damage. Praise be to God that He has given us peace and healing by the wounds of Christ Jesus. It's amazing to look back and see how God used men like Dr. R.C Sproul to slowly draw me out of Adventism, I was gradually spending less time in church but my RUclips recommended list was full of reformed sermons and teaching. :)

1 Corinthians 12:12-13 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Brother, brother I have something important to share. I am a shy sheepish man who would rather be crushed anytime I offend someone. I would hide the Gospel or nuder it to try to prevent offense. However I am realizing what I was doing is Highly Highly offensive to God. I now understand it is loving to tell people things that bother them if it's for Christ's sake and in seasoned truth it is love. My skin crawls and my body hates it but I know God is pleased. So you who are easily offended, if you let yourself be offended to seek after Christ your war on the flesh will be rewarded. Your discernment will grow and you will be offended by what is opposite of God (which is evilness) instead of what is of God which is Holiness.
@@innkeeper4144 I was not offended by God, I was offended by His supposed people, and my family. I heard Christ Christ Christ, and saw, Satan, Satan, Satan.
Beloved, most of us did not have great childhoods either .It isnt a rational excuse for holding on to negative thoughts and being angry all the time. It isnt an excuse for not repenting ( Acts 17:30) and coming to Christ with all of ones heart, mind, soul ,and strength.(Romans 10:9-10)The Lord is merciful to the humble and he resists the proud. Self pity is pride beloved. Christ said "28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11. There is hope in Christ. Humble yourself before our holy merciful loving righteous King Jesus Christ. Christ will make you a new creation . Reading and studying the word of God will renew your mind and give you discernment.. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 9:10. Unless you repent; you will perish. You must be born again to inherit the kingdom of God. I sincerely pray that I see you in heaven! Dont delay. The day of salvation is now!
@@justinm4497 Sweetheart, there are MANY religious people in the world who are not true followers of Christ. Read Peter and John's epistles. They talk about false Christ's and false teachers and prophets. These are people who profess Christ but do not obey Him. They also distort and twist scripture. The Holy Spirit inspired the apostles to write to us about such people because Jesus Himself knew many wolves in sheep's clothing would appear to turn people away from Christ. Christ Himself warns us in Matthew 24 and elsewhere. All of us have found people like this and as we grow in Christ, we grow in discernment. Christ Himself isn't like these people at all. Read the Scriptures and pray. Seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him! 🙏 Not all are false teachers, however. Some are simply immature Christians who are over zealous and others are, as the Scriptures say, weaker. And we are to bear with them as Christ bears with us.
This is great. The only point I would question a bit is the drinking issue. Do I think it's a condemnable sin to have a glass of wine with dinner? Of course not. But taking endless liberty is dangerous too. As a former alcoholic, it is so hard for the human mind and heart to judge when they have crossed a line because we make excuses for our behavior. My take on the topic is, I simply don't drink because I don't trust myself to not make alcohol my comforter rather than allowing the Holy Spirit to be that for me.
Your situation is entirely understandable and appropriate. I don't think he would've had a problem with that. He was just speaking in general. If we have a weakness / struggle in a certain area, it is wise to limit our exposure to it. Your situation is why I've never been a drinker. If I'd ever experienced forgetting my struggles or maybe being able to overcome my shyness by drinking, I know I'd be tempted to go overboard! I think the last alcohol I tasted (outside the tiny drop in Communion) was New Year's Eve of 2019, which was just eggnog with some kind of alcohol. And that's only because I was with friends and they offered it. That was way enough for me. It helps that I got saved at 18, and the church where I got saved and spent my early Christian years was full of people coming out of addiction. It was always explained that the Bible doesn't prohibit drinking, just drunkenness. But if you do struggle in that area, get support from others to keep you accountable, and maybe avoid it completely. It was a very balanced teaching. I always appreciated that and it's formed my approach as the years have gone by. All the best to you! Edit: The funny part is, some years ago, I was interning at a company. They had some sort of event where you were supposed to drink 2 I think it was tequila shots. (I honestly don't even know my liquor names, LOL!) It was some sort of cultural tradition for celebration of success. Something like that. It was my first time. I was kinda nervous. I even thought of not doing it. But I guess peer pressure prevailed. (See? I have no self control!) I downed them like you were supposed to. I waited for something to happen. Some huge burning feeling. Or dizziness. Or excitement/boldness. SOMETHING. Nothing happened! I was disappointed. I remember thinking, "This is what people dedicate and often lose their lives to? How underwhelming!"

I was raised by a Southern Baptist Preacher. I can totally relate to all the "extra" laws they came up with during the sixties. No cards, no dancing, no movies, no long hair on men, women cannot wear pants or jeans, and if your hair, as a male, got longer enough to touch your ears, you were going to hell. This really did have a major impact on me and at the age of 17 I turned my back on the Church, God, the Bible, and went full blown sinner.
The Bible makes it clear that women shouldn't wear men's clothing, that's why Christians opposed women wearing trousers, which were up until that point of time, strictly a man's item of clothing.

When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, And your bones shall flourish like grass; The hand of the Lord shall be known to His servants, And His indignation to His enemies. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”
Isaiah 66:14-24 NKJV
If the food laws are done away with as he states then why when Jesus returns in this future prophecy will people be condemned by eating swine flesh?? I agree with the main message God has a standard and as it says in Deut You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 NKJV
And rev For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:18-19 NKJV
He has a few errors in the end I perceive.
@@benjensen8700
Isaiah was using it as an example of the disobedience.
- Galatians 2:14
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Shalom aleichem Ben, 😇
You make a very good point and it's as far as i understand not the point he makes that the law is completly abolished.
The othere horse is the gift God has given, which is salvation through Jesus Christ. We as humans have broken the law and are requiered by law to pay for it by death. But not only the seperation between our soul and body but also our soul and God. This is what hell is! 🔥🔥🔥
It's not possible to pay for our transgressions of the law in any other way. Except by the death of someone who has kept the law perfectly. Jesus Christ or better known by his own words the God of the old testament. 🕊️
Our faith in his sacrifice is what will save us from God's rightous punishment. And because of that gift we will keep the law because God will renew our heart, so we really desire what is good and hate what is wrong! 🕊️❤️😇
So to keep it short:
- Do you keep the law to try to bribe God to let you get into his kingdom?
- Or do you believe in the sacrifice of the by God given lam, which is sacrificed to pay for your transgressions? And do everything within your power to keep the law out of gratitute?
The more I hear RC the more I am amazed by the fundamental teacher, Glory to God
Greatest teacher of my generation. RC, you’re missed, thanks you left Voddie, Mc Arthur, Piper and Washer. Enjoy your presence with the Lord

Great post. Thank you.
Amen!

Well said, I'm praying this for all of us listening to this message from God's Word of Truth through His servant R.C. Sproul. Specifically I'm praying for our Sanctification =
1) For those who are justified and Righteous in His Eyes, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ and his precious gift of faith and Grace Alone (2 Peter 1:1, Acts 15:11, Romans 10:4, Philippians 3:9). Now thanking Our Great Triune God that we are being Made Holy, day by day, with ever increasing Glory =
2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:16 & Hebrews 10:14= "14 Because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever, those who are Being Made Holy."
2) Praying from Paul's prayer in his first Holy Spirit inspired Epistle to the Thessalonians = 1Thess. 5:23-25=
"23 May God Himself, the God of Peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 The One who calls you is Faithful and He will do it.
25 Brothers, Pray for us."
In Jesus' Name above all names, so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father, and that we may bear much lasting fruit, showing ourselves to be His Disciples. Amen (John 14:13-14, 15:7-8,16)
Amen:)

That is a beautiful comment, still today.
RC is one of my absolute favorites. He has taught me so much especially not always what to think but how to think 🤔 and study
Sadly.

He just seems like he is having such a good time. He's loving it! I wish more people enjoyed their religious experience like this man.
Its known by many, as 'the anointing' - the 'spiritual pull', and it accompanies the true teachers in the faith. Its God's seal of approval in that ministry/capacity.
It’s a reflection of his intimate relationship with his creator … “religious experience”🤔 no
@@jaycbattle Sorry you have a prob with my poor description. I meant only I wish people were as excited about Jesus as his man seems to be. Chill, brother. You might chase somebody away.
RC is a tremendous theologian. he really is, he is an American treasure, and an asset to the Lord.
Best message I've heard on the weaker brother subject. That's only because it is the only one I've heard that had any balance.
This is one of the best sermons I have ever heard concerning these biblical matters. Praise God.
Brother Sproul we miss you, and are thankful you can speak to us from beyond the grave (before our electricity is taken from us). What joy you must have now!

The Word of God will sanctify you after your justification by faith in Christ.
God gave us HIS Word.
As much as we miss Dr. R.C. Sproul, before and after RC was His Word, still available to us.
We must continue evangelism now that we have received and are commanded to share as well.

Wow, I'm set free by this. God bless your wisdom indeed
Mark 8:5-9
And he asked them, How many loaves have ye?

I'm not reformed so to speak, but man I respect the likes of Sproul and Lawson and McArthur

Of the weaker brother
No rules and regulations where Christ

im afraid I am the weaker brother myself, but I had a rather hard time growing up.. its hard not to be offended by things..

Not all are false teachers, however.
(See? I have no self control!)
I downed them like you were supposed to. I waited for something to happen. Some huge burning feeling. Or dizziness. Or excitement/boldness. SOMETHING. Nothing happened! I was disappointed. I remember thinking, "This is what people dedicate and often lose their lives to? How underwhelming!"

The nuances of Sproul are ones anyone would benefit from paying close attention to and taking on board.
Amazing Amazing Amazing lesson
Cannot believe he’s gone. But glad we had him. What do we do now that we are here and he is gone?
do we all need this? yes!
Those rules sound v reasonable wheres the problem
A sermon for today.
As an Italian it is very "hard" for me to do the last supper without a very good red wine. Jesus has changed water in wine, and everybody knows that the wine romans used to dring was very strong and tasty....he drank the juice of the fruit of the wine, and it was not simple juice ofc.
@@jannabrown386 Aldo true, i forgot about this😄
Liquid with alcohol was a necesdity at one time because you never knew if the water was contaminated. Bad water killed millions. So we had beer and wine. I don't drink at all. Regards
So long as we do not confuse drinking a very good wine with drunkenness.
Isaiah 25:6-8 NASBS
The LORD of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine. [7] And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations. [8] He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.
Looks like God knows His wines, and enjoys them! And one day, we will enjoy a glass with Him!
@@joshamaya196 Amen Bro!!! An Heavenly Valpolicella Ripasso or a Divine Gutturnio right from the hills next to the Divine City.....mmmmhhhh, can't wait for it!!!!
Complete truth!
Love the man.
Great message, edifying and informative. I always learn new things from Dr. Sproul. This is also a timely message for me today with what I went through with a Torah pounding legalist about me eating bacon. Can anyone help me discover the word Dr. Sproul uses here in reference to things not commanded or prohibited that are minor. Phonetically it sounded like "Ah-dee-ah-pher-ous. Is it a Greek or English word? Google doesn't show anything similar. Thank you and God Bless You, in Christ Jesus our Lord, grace and peace..
The word is "Adiaphora". Transliteration from the Greek "adiaphora" or "of no difference" or not of concern. The opposite or diaphora, meaning "discord" or "difference".
@@adrianpowell8196 Thank you brother Adrian...2 years later. I just listened to this message again and noticed my former comment and your response. God bless you.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
Seriously, this is an important topic in the times we find ourselves living through. The false religion of post-liberal secular humanism can't bind a bondsman of Christ!
