I honestly hate it when people do it with just their emotions. For one because its not a good idea to base your beliefs and decisions on emotions, those should always be made with the mind. Mind on the steering wheel, emotions come after. And for another because this causes christians (and other religious people for that matter) to not be not taken serious by the world and i hate to see that.
I lived as a Christian in my emotions only and it was dangerous. I actually walked away from the faith for a long time because I couldn’t feel Gods presence. So I walked away now that I’m back with Christ I just stay in the word of God it’s the only way to get to know God
This is how I know I am saved Bc I do what I don’t want to do in my flesh yet I also see me wanting to do want to want to do in his spirit within me . This brings me deep joy….pursuing the things of God against my inner flesh.

Till we all come unto the unity of the faith in which Paul uses the doctrine of Christ brought forth in the finished work of Christ. The Lord used RC in a remarkable way in my life as a teacher of God's word . Most importantly, the Lord started enlightening the eyes of my understanding brought forth in the revelation of the mystery. I know that the Lord has continually intervened in my life to turn me from a life of sin. The vanity of the world's pleasures had left an emptiness that only The Lord could fulfill! Therefore I believe in the irresistible call of God.

Oh, how I love RC, and this particular presentation. RC was and is a giant of theology in the 20th and 21st centuries. A man who loved God with all of his heart, mind and strength. Thank you RC, for teaching me so much about the Reformers, theology and, especially, the Lord our God!
A great man of God who was a champion of faith. He shared reformed theology to equip the saints to go in the world to reach the unsaved people group. I wish I can bring this material into Urdu and Punjabi language.

We in India, are flooded with Charismatic books and videos, yet it's very hard to find books by Reformed preachers or exposition! Either the books available are expensive or unavailable

Though he seems having difficulty in breathing, still he is so passionate, energetic and enthusiastic in preaching God's word and sharing his rich intellect and vast knowledge.
I would love to hear what RC would have to say about what’s going on in our nation today. May we keep our minds on the things above. The Bible says that “The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him! But the Lord LAUGHS at the wicked for He sees that his day is coming….” Ps. 37:13. So we don’t have to worry and I think that RC would be telling us something along those lines. Thank you Dr. R. C. Sproul for all your wonderful wisdom.
If a person wants to have their mind changed they need to keep reading the Word of God daily with devotion and with the help of the Holy Spirit. Also I would recommend a book called "Victory over the Darkness" by Neil T. Anderson. In that book he posits that when we root our identities firmly in Christ, and really understand this identity in our minds, only then can our behaviour and emotions change.

I have received much opposition from many professing Christians who have openly stated that they do not believe in predestination or election. How scary to stand in disbelief of God's word. That is the Gospel brought forth in the finished work of Christ. There still may be much of God's word that I may not fully understand, but one thing that I do know is that predestination and election are both inseparable from the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, and the revelation of the mystery is inseparable from the Gospel brought forth in the finished work or we could say the doctrine of Christ . You cannot rightly divide the word of truth when pulling away from this key doctrine! But speaking the truth in love, that we, the church may grow up in Him in All Things.

He's not quite the same of a communicator as MacArthur but he knows a lot of the philosophers and what they taught. l dont _like_ those philosophers and tend to ignore them ...but SOMEONE has to listen to them ...l suppose. God is no respect respector of those that call upon Him in truth. But to say that He treats everyone the same is not true. Remember, Jesus said, cast not your pearls before the swine, and give not that which is holy unto dogs.
I think that one of the greatest distortion of God's word is to interpret John 3:16 as if all sheep are His. I love the simplicity of Gospel brought forth in John 3:16 because I am amongst the whosoever will. As I also share the simplicity of the Gospel with whosoever will. We the church are commanded to go and make disciples of men teaching them, the church, to observe all things that Jesus has commanded us. Our spiritual warfare is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. The rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wicked in high places, whether governmental or in the professing church are made up of men in flesh bodies. There are ministers of Satan in the church transforming themselves as ministers of Satan whose end shall be according to their works. Men can twist, distort and even pull away from many of the clear teachings such as Jude teaching us, the church that that there are certain men crept into the professing church who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men. Another hard saying brought forth with such clarity that must not be opinionated. These counterfeit sheep are not the sheep of the Great Shepherd Our Lord Jesus. As I observe all teachings of our Lord he plainly taught us, the church that tares would grow up amongst us as and also they were of the wicked one and the enemy that soweth them is the devil. The doctrine of Christ that Paul uses to bring the church to the unity of the faith in the finish work Christ is found in Ephesians is for the church . That we the church may speak truth in love, growing up in Him in All Things. Sadly many in the church today are not taught the truth of the Gospel brought forth in the finished work of Christ. Remember, Jesus said to the Jews which believed on Him. If you continue in my word you shall know the truth! Jesus, again and again called people out for who they really were! He never claimed that all men were His. This is the true Jesus of the Bible that should cause all of us to seek Him with reverence and a Godly fear of repentance in the truth of his word. So whosoever will, let him come and drink of the waters of life freely.

Unfortunately RC DID NOT understand that Jesus Christ said WHOSOEVER CALLS UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD, SHALL BE SAVED! And his explanation of the book of Revelation, is TOTALLY unscriptural! RC, simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is how people are saved. Yes, it is just that simple.
God says WHOSOEVER. So if you have a problem with that, then you have a problem truly believing God's Word. I am not trying to be mean. But this is what God says MANY times in His Word. He knows who is and isn't sincere in their trust and true faith in Him.

Your children are NOT saved because they have CHOSEN to reject, at least for now, God's grace which He has freely offered to them. And your responsibility, is to continue to pray for them. You see Geoffrey, making a decision, a choice, to trust Christ as one's Savior, is not "works". It is a simple, childlike, act of faith. That's it. That's all Jesus asks for us to be saved. Now, if that simple faith is genuine, in will be exhibited by our life being changed by the Holy Spirits leading. 2 Cor. 5:17.

Prior to regeneration we do not have saving faith. With us that is impossible but with God all things are possible. Salvation is of the Lord from start to finish there is no human effort. We are dead in our trespassers and sins. A dead man can do nothing. To God be the glory.

'Victory over the darkness' is an excellent book. He has much resource material available for the believer's walk in Christ.

The word "philosophy" is a combination of two words, phileo (love), and sophia, (wisdom). For a Christian to study philosophy is to love wisdom.

I think that one of the greatest distortion of God's word is to interpret John 3:16 as if all sheep are His. Unfortunately RC DID NOT understand that Jesus Christ said WHOSOEVER CALLS UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD, SHALL BE SAVED! And his explanation of the book of Revelation, is TOTALLY unscriptural! RC, simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is how people are saved. Yes, it is just that simple.

God says WHOSOEVER. So if you have a problem with that, then you have a problem truly believing God's Word. I am not trying to be mean. But this is what God says MANY times in His Word. He knows who is and isn't sincere in their trust and true faith in Him.

Your children are NOT saved because they have CHOSEN to reject, at least for now, God's grace which He has freely offered to them. And your responsibility, is to continue to pray for them. You see Geoffrey, making a decision, a choice, to trust Christ as one's Savior, is not "works". It is a simple, childlike, act of faith. That's it. That's all Jesus asks for us to be saved. Now, if that simple faith is genuine, in will be exhibited by our life being changed by the Holy Spirits leading. 2 Cor. 5:17.

Prior to regeneration we do not have saving faith. With us that is impossible but with God all things are possible. Salvation is of the Lord from start to finish there is no human effort.
