Thanks for posting this sermon. It encourages me to know that through every danger toil and snare in my life, God sovereignly uses it to transform me into the image of His dear son. "But for the Christian there is no such thing as meaningless pain or purposeless suffering"

No one is saved by Reformed Calvinistic lottery salvation!
Only those who respond to Gods call to "Repent and be Baptized" are saved. No man has an excuse.
Calvinism is spiritual death and those that follow him do so with their own free will.
I chanced on your talk, as I love Isaiah. Your talk on the Suffering Servant is BEAUTIFUL. I am a practicing Catholic, as I LOVE the BODY and BLOOD of JESUS, WHO said HE would be with us to the end of The Age. Your talk was full of The Fire of The HOLY SPIRIT. So good to hear a contemporary sermon on the value of suffering. And particularly on the suffering of our Savior. The Passion of Christ is the Gospel of Salvation.
As a child, the nuns would tell us to offer up our sufferings to the Lord as He suffered so much for us. Inevitably when I did that my little troubles would evaporate. But suffering is a valuable tool for hoening our walk with Jesus through this world. It can be a light for others as well.
Yes, and GOD IS able to use our sufferings to help others, past, present and future. What an AWESOME GOD we have! 🙏 MAY GOD BLESS US ALL 🙏💕🙏

I am overwhelmed by doctor Sproul's message, but also by his emotions that convey the depth of Christ's suffering. I have heard some ask, "Where are the great preachers of long ago?" Well, doctor Sproul is counted among them, in my mind.

Take it a bit further, 1 Corinth 15: 3&4. (1-4) 👍🏻😎 the revaling of the sucess of the cross is not known or revealed to the Church the Body of Christ until Christ ( from heaven) reveals it to Paul. The sacrafice, the burrial( spiritual baptism) baptised into His death) rose again on 3rd day for our justification and our new life also.😎👍🏻✌ Paul, an Apostle appointed by Jesus Christ ,& by inspiration of God. Reminds us , basicly warning us, that (Christ was raised from the dead according to " my" gospel. A dispensation.-.( a dispencing of additional imformation) - of the gospel was given to Paul to give to us.👍🏻 note, in acts 2, peter" full of the Holy Ghost" inspired by God Himself, basicly read a murder indictment to Israel. Repent & water baptism! Wich they never did. And the earthly kingdom never came. Then by acts 7, the stoning of stephen, Israel as a nation dwindles down and is suspended. So many believe the start of the church is in Acts 2. 🤔

These kind of sermons are becoming more rare. Seems like the churches are so watered down with all their lobby coffee houses and agendas rather than running to the alter after the sermons over they run out the lobby to get a coffee mocha.

I am grateful that we have a God that has been, is and always will be complete in His glory. And because He is sovereign, He is not dependent on any thing or any one to bring Him glory. He has never been in need of glory. Therefor, for our relationship to be right with him as His followers, we acknowledge that all glory belongs to Him. We bring Him glory by returning what is rightfully His. We bring him glory not for his sake but for our own sake. If we do not acknowledge that all glory belongs to him, we by default give glory to ourselves or someone else and when we do that we are not in fellowship with him as he desires. He has never been in need of glory because he is complete in his glory and always has been. But yet he died on the cross to save us even though he has never needed us for any thing, especially not to bring him glory. Yes we serve a God that is eternally complete and is not dependent in any way, yet he died for us for no other reason than he loves us. This is the God of the Bible, this is Christ crucified, this is the God who wants all to be saved!!!
For the most part i agree. Altho there is one other very important reason he died on that cross the way He did. To thwart Satans plans to possess heaven and earth. He took Satan in his own craftyness. The Body of Christ Church was a mystery, and kept hid in God since before the world began. Rem in Isaia, satan said hed Would ascend into the heavens and he would be like the Most High, and boasted that nothing could be hid from him. 👍🏻 God is in the process still, Of reconciling heaven and Earth using 2 different agencies or bodys. Today hes using the new creation the new creatures, members of His body, members of the Body of Christ . ( niether Jew or gentile) ambassadors of Christ.( The Hope of Glory) To reconcile the heavens. After the catching away, God will finish his buisness with the nation of Israel and unbelivers in the Trib, where God irons out the covenants He made with them, and the promises made to Abraham . Make a great nation that will begin the Millennium .👍🏻 Sadly ,to many christians today think God just dropped Israel, and broke His promises to them, and believe we are part of the covenants of promise. Not so! And im greatfull , because of what all is involved in those. Most peeps dont know what all that entails. Plus they ignore the Apostle Paul ( assighned to the Church " which is His body)"" and his insructional doctrine given to us today in this dispensation of grace, skiping over important doctrinal scriptures, like, " we have been QUICKENED TOGETHER WITH CHRIST. and CHRIST IN YOU, AND US IN HIM. etc etc. Have great day man.👍🏻😎

I’ve always brought this point up when someone asks what kind of God would let a child die. A God who wants to spare the child of all the pain, hardship, and trials of adulthood. The innocent ones don’t have to risk damnation through sin. Who knows, maybe that child would’ve grown up to be wicked or stand against God!

Dear brother/sister in christ please pray for me. I have finished my chemotherapy for cancer. While undergoing treatment my two daughters moved out suddenly, my mother died, and my wife almost died due to covid. I suffer from anxiety attacks and depression. I suddenly have become an empty nester. I have been crying every day since February 27th the day my eldest daughter left. I am anxious about my situation and feel like i'm not needed anymore. Feel like a senior in an old folks home just waiting for death or the rapture. I'm expected back at work on August 3rd and I am fearful of going back. I have 2.5years before I can get a full pension. Am in debt for$26,000. Also have been told that I cant sit in the seat that I sat in for years. I'm being put in a small office very close to the bosses, who have it out for me. Anxiety so bad, that I cant sleep. Like Elijah, I'm asking the Lord to take my life.
May GOD BE with you in your sufferings. You are not alone. You are part of the Mystical Body of Christ. I offer you my prayers and offer you to GOD in my prayers. Life is full of suffering, I am sorry that you have such a burden. Try to Will it to Jesus, that is difficult. Each day say: I will my burden to YOU, LORD!

I pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to you and envelope you with His love. I know what it is to feel hopeless, bitter & angry. I have several autoimmune illnesses, my oldest son got into drugs, my husband is sick, and we have been struggling financially. But everything the enemy has used against me to try to destroy me God has used it to draw me closer to Him. I never knew I could love Him and know Him the way I do now. All my hope and trust is in Him. My miracle is not that I am healed or all our problems are solved. My miracle is that in all my pain and suffering He has been closer to me than ever before. He has been my strength and my comfort. And I know with all certainty that “though He has made me see troubles many & bitter, He will restore my life again from the depths of the earth.” Psalms 71:20

Really Learned Alot In the Last 15 minutes too
R.C.Sproul, one of the great pastors, teachers and leaders of faithful Christians everywhere. He wasn't perfect. No one but ONE has ever been. He was among a handful of preachers that delivered the Gospel in its entirety, and using the Scriptures always, never stopped telling the truth about sin, the filthiness of man's sin. And the destination for all those who reject Christ and willingly reject His gift of salvation. We have many faithful pastors who preach the Word that leads to salvation and warns of the torments of hell. But they are few and far between when we see the money grubbers in the temple these days. Preaching miracles and tithing and tithing and miracles and glossing over the Gospel and the torments in hell if that !! Some of them just say God bless, God bless you, God's healing power, praise God her leg just grew 2 inches, praise God, it's the power of God workinng thru my miracle spring water. We pray over thousands of letters y'all sent me. Never mentioning the letters had cash, checks, money orders, or just a letter because they sent him money electronically thru a credit or debit card. He goes on and on about praying for healing, releasing those addicted and those depressed, and on one or two occasions he might say he's praying for the salvation of the lost. But after all is said and done him and his wife will appear a few times in what looks like a mini infomercial singing the praises of their miracle spring water. Send money, you'll get this tiny bottle of water. Drink it, rub it on the place on your body where you feel pain. This tiny bottle of water has made him wealthy. Not spreading the Gospel. If a faithful servant becomes wealthy obeying God and when he falters he gets back up and lives his life preaching the Gospel, leading thousands perhaps millions to Christ as far as I'm concerned he earned it honestly. But these false teachers and preachers who give lip service, if that to the Gospel, the Way, the Truth and the Life. But get gain and wealth by using the Word not for salvation as the primary goal, but place the Gospel way down their list of things to do. Primary for them is the Golden calf. As if the miracles of Jesus Christ are more important then the Lord Himself. They use the Bible and a false religion that they've built themselves. They have millions of Ill gotten gains. They are digging their own graves and apparently don't care. The smile of one seems to have been permanently surgically put in place. As long as the aging process doesn't change it. But just like the lost actors, actresses, singers, etc, change their features as they age. I'm sure Mr Ohscheme will do the same.
I love the part of the scripture what he's teaching, when it was spoken over Jesus Christ, said a lot will suffer for his namesake, but he will suffer also to reveal the hearts of minds of many! That's why if you're a disciple you go through the pains, so you know how your brother feels, when you're a judge with Jesus Christ you need to feel how they feel! So that's how you pick up your cross and follow Jesus, and you'll start seeing the pains of harts of minds!

Isaiah is seeing Christ crucified for the sins of all of the world of all time! He is seeing Grace! He is seeing the Son of God die for us. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away blessed be the name of the Lord, anyone in Christ should always know this and have this peace of mind no matter what God taketh away from you that he also died for you.
That is of course easily said by someone whose earthly life was a success story from beginning to end.

Jesus paid it all for us , ( John 3 : 16 )we are here to walk & preach & proclaim the Gospel, exactly as specified & given to us . we must not add or subtract anything, we must be approved by God to do rightly dividing the word of God ( 2 timothy 2 : 15 ) God bless us all, to complete our last mission serving christ, whatever our storms & consequences are , God Himself is with us. Every action jesus took? ..was a definite lesson for man to learn ..no doubt..I see that and learn that everyday right up to his last breathe one of his biggest lessons when the murderer realized who he was truly hanging next to!!! To add, it is true that it was God the Father who gave Peter the Holy Spirit so that Peter could understand as the things of the Spirit could only be understood by those who have the Spirit. Its not about being educated or uneducated. Its about whether God is giving you the Spirit or not.
