There is nothing like a ocean waves, a water fall or beautiful scenery to stitch by. I’m setting here listening to the water on your video as I , also am working on my EPP. Thank you Anna for showing some of what must be beautiful Oregon. 🙏❤️ The music accompanying the water scenes was just so appropriate and lovely.

Four of my craft friends are making Grandmother's Garden. I love watching their on going project. I haven't ventured to try this new skill but I know it will happen in the near future. This may be my next traveling project I do.
I really loved seeing you quilt and RV. Two years ago I took my embroidery sewing machine RVing with my husband and me. I embroidered over 60 lap size blankets for my daughter's and son-in-law's wedding as a gift to each brides' maid and one for every family. They were a hit.

How beautiful and peaceful. There is nothing like being on or by the water 💦 I first saw some one making hexagons at our guild meetings several years ago. She would bring a small tote and set during the meetings and stitch them together. She did a demonstration for the group. The last time I saw her stitching them together they were no larger than a nickel. She was blessed with such patients.

Hi Anna. I so love the videos you post and often have "reruns" playing on my TV in my craft room while I am sewing. I wanted to share with you the way I prepare my hexies. I use the Sue Daley method of English Paper Piecing. She uses a washable glue rather than the iron and starch. Two year's ago while on a 10 day vacation with family, I stitched hexies endlessly and it resulted in a version of Grandmother's Garden. I made the flowers and then used a blanket stitch and machine appliques them down to a background square. Just thought I would share. Thank you for all your posts!

I’m adding to my own comment. There are many different ways to make hexies, as you know, and I think I’ve done them all. Your papers with starch , the papers with glue, stitch with papers by stitching through the paper, stitch with papers by only stitching the fabric on the points, and the iron-on pre-cut hexies & glue method from Hugs ‘n Kisses, and also carried by fat quarter shop.com. My favorite has become papers and stitching only the fabric on the points because hexies can be popped out without removing any threads or un-sticking the starch or glue (none of which are actually difficult). I’m also using the Hugs ‘n Kisses iron on hexies to make Liberty of London hexie flowers. The iron on hexies will basically wash out. So much hexie fun!!!!!

I started watching you on RUclips, when you did a tour of Portland's 2018 Quilt Show. I thought to my self I wondered If I will see my sister at the Quilt Show. (She lives in the area) Well "Son of a Gun", the first Quilt shop that you stop at my sister was standing there shopping. She turn around and you had her full face with goodies she bought, in your video.
I have been a fan ever since. I started up cross stitching because of you and now it is Hexie s . Your a girl of my heart. Love your videos

Would love to do that but, I live in Spokane WA. My husbands is ill so I can't leave town. I look forward to all your RUclips shows. I love it when you go shopping . My friends and I would do that. There were 6 of us and we went to find some material for one of the friends. We each ended up buying $100. worth of fabric and goodies. It was a fun day.

You mentioned not going to the beach this year. We usually go at least 3/4 times a year. I’m lucky I ended up going in Jan and February! I’m dying to go to Lake Tahoe. I’m so unsure because It’s at least a 5 hour drive, I worry about having a bathroom stop! Since I’ve been watching your channels, I’ve ordered 2 of Sue Spargo’s projects, started doing cross stitch again, and I want to do those hexies too! I’m also getting those weekly cotton and wool Halloween blocks! It’s all your fault! Lol. I’m loving the sound of that river.❤️

I use the SewTite magnets to hold the pieces to be sewn together and then my thread does not get caught on the clip. I love them!

Love this one on the hexies. Just bought my supplies earlier this year.. during quarantine. Have not started them yet, as I’ve gone back to work. 😕 this motivated me to get started. Just need to be out there where you are. 😚 must have that little hexies box!!

I love to EPP and hand appliqué. I use the YLI silk thread. I get the tube with 5 different shades. It just disappears and makes it look like you are a really good stitcher!! LOL. I also lasts a long time. Glad you and G could get away for a well deserved camping trip and some hiking.

Lovely scenery. So pleased you both got away. I've been asked to join a small stitching group meeting each month socially distancing in our village centre if all stays safe to do so. I'm so excited having a chance to stitch with like-minded local ladies☺. I use YLI silk thread to stitch applique. Begun Gail Pan's 'Delightful Dresdens' to stitch while watching TV. Enjoy.
