    I love the jewel tone one, as I'm not much on using whites or lights, but the demo was great & did offer options. I love the hexi-tool too & I do value my small rotating mat. I just started using pattern weights even though it's not a tissue pattern, they add some stability. Thank You for this tutorial.👍👍👍

    I am ready to sew my hexes together. I don't like the look of the back stitches with he zigzag. Any suggestion a different stitch, or a hand sewn stitch?

    • @loribosecke3165
      @loribosecke3165 3 года назад +3

      Instead of a back stitch you could try setting your stitch length to zero, taking a few stitches and then changing your stitch length back to 2.5. It'll lock the stitch in place. Also, I used invisible thread! You can't see my backstitching...I also can't see the thread tails to cut them off either.

    What do you think about making the hexagons farther apart in size? Like could I do a 6” with a 4” for a bigger border or do you think it would be too floppy because there wouldn’t be batting in there.

    • @loribosecke3165
      @loribosecke3165 2 года назад +1

      You could definitely do that. Cut the batting so that you are folding the 'border' up to the batting. That way there will be no flopping around. Plus, if you used Thermolam, or something similiar, it would have a bit more structure.

    Can you please tell me what stitch is used on the inside hexagon? Are you doing a zig zag to sew the inside hexi with batting and catching the outer folded hexi? Or another kind of stitch, please ?
    Very beautiful and inspiring pattern!
