Very nice to watch, with me not watching 'television', channels like yours get me going, painting, wood and stone carving, welding projects, and some small carpentry projects.. People like you, crafts people, artesans, artists often turn out to be great teachers by showing multiple ways to do stuff.. As said, very inspiring channel and a joy to have access to.❤ Greetings from Spain.
Just brilliant! I thought I'd watch a few minutes of this but ended up enjoying the lot in one sitting. The mind boggles at all the work and patience you've put into this masterpiece.
I built a Point Comfort 18, a Chesapeake deadrise, over three winters. There is NOTHING as satisfying as driving a boat that you have built. Everyone asks 'how can you build something so complex?' The same way you eat an elephant.... one bite at a time.
Dude! It’s 2:15am and I’m so amused watching you. You are super talented and very funny! I’m laughing my heart out watching you while i’m trying to stay awake. 😂
Its actually a nice design. I enjoyed this video. I have been customizing and doing restorations on Yachts for 47 years. And these videos of people building boat to me is like being there with out getting epoxy on my hands clothes or in my face 🙃
Never thought I would watch it through to the end when i saw the total length of the video and here I am at the end of it. Amazing build, amazing story...Actually teared up in the end.... And now MY son (12y/o) is telling me to build it! Love you man! Don't ever stop...
gotta admit I was slightly confused at first as I know you'd done a boat build before but now I understand that you just combined all the old videos into one
Excellent video. I think it’s gorgeous. You did a great job Jason. I love the name too Verna Louise. That alone shows your strength and vulnerability. I can tell you I won’t be calling my Ash Tree and trash tree anymore. Way to go. I was “glued” from part 1 to part 4. I could watch it again! Keep up the excellent videos. I learned so much. Thank you!! 🚣♀️🛶🚤⚓️🦋🥃🥂.
I am amazed at the nay sayers. How anyone can criticize anything so beautiful is beyond my comprehension. Great job Jason especially the end with dedication to your grandma. don't let them get you down. I loved it.
Watched each segment of this was you released them but I will say it was a pleasure to watch it from beginning to end. Amazing work and attention to detail.
The original videos are what got me following your channel. Love your work. I’ve had plans for a “Qucik Canoe” for years, got to get on it one of these days.
I love the boat build. But I love everything you do. I’m living vicariously hee hee. I have however learned some tips from you for the puny little things I do build.
You did a masterful job building this wonderful McKenzie River drift boat, a boat I always wanted to build. I am also a woodworker and built a Norwegian Faering 16'-6" long boat that has 2 rowing stations and a lug sail. Again, I say good job :)
I teared up a little at the end...I actually was kinda disappointed that the boat didn't officially get christened.....but naming the boat after your grandma was pretty special! Very cool build Jason!
This is awesome! Love your humor (ex-Army). I would reach through the interwebz if you had destroyed that Scotch (and I've been drinking a dram as I watched this - not kidding). You've built a nice boat my friend. I've helped with boats, but never built one. It isn't an easy task, and you showed it well here.
A colloid is simply a solid that fully suspends in a liquid and doesn't separate again without the aid of a catalyst. I really good example of a colloidal material is milk. Milk is mostly water followed by whey proteins then followed by all the stuff good for you like butter fat, calcium for bone growth, and suspended vitamins. The butter fat remains suspended in the liquid due to homogenization, but it doesn't come out again. So colloidal silica is just thickener that won't separate from the epoxy before it dries.
This is an absolutely beautiful boat! And I even approve of the colur you chose to paint her (my favorite!) ... I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build her.
I had a Crenshaw; here is a couple of things with wooden drift boats to keep in mind. If you use spar varnish, cracking will require maintenance, we used epoxy paint for the exterior but the raw wood gave its beauty. Another problem is the boot, plywood which normally is used can catch on a pointy rock. We tried a lexar boot which was slick but tended to sag between screw holes.
I wasn't familiar with this style of boat, without a keel. Makes sense for fishing on a river though, much easier to maneuver without the current impacting you as much. Thanks for sharing the process!
Excellent project. I really like all the little thoughtful things you do to take this to a very usable design. All the latches, the gas shock, the levelers for the door supports and the latches for holding the doors in place. I’m likely to build one of these. Thanks!!
I watched this entire series in the individual videos, but can't help myself from watching it again. Good old video with lots of interaction between the video and voiceover, gotta love it
Thanks for this compilation: I hadn't seen the originals videos. I love watching you work given I would love being in capacity of doing half of what you do but I'm realist enough to know that I'm not ahaha. The end of the video, the naming part, is really sweet. Thanks again, cya :)
Looks beautiful! I am pretty sure your grama is very proud of you. I have one question about the boat. I think this boat is missing some air pocket "boiancy air pocket" in case the boat flips upside-down it needs to float. Otherwise, you will lose the boat or spend lots of money/labor to get the boat back floating again. Too many ways to do that. Maybe some high density foam on the floor covered with plywood, or some side seats. Love the boat color.
This build is amazing. You need to call it the HMS. Hernia. Wooden boats weigh a ton. My buddy build a wooden Jon boat 40 years ago and he takes care of it and it still looks great.
Pria yg lucu, cerdas dan penuh semangat, saya sangat menyukai video anda, sangat menghibur, waktu terasa sangat singkat, padahal video anda berdurasi panjang, saya menantikan video baru dari anda, sukses selalu buat anda sekeluarga, salam dari Indonesia 🇲🇨
I love this! A video where I know more about something than you. Next time you're up in Washington let's fish, I've guided up here for years. I'll teach you to row out on the Olympic peninsula rivers.
If it had a Skeg it would steer a lot better, also, with a skeg, you could, if you wanted to, you could have a small dipping lug sail for days when you’re down river and wind was right, you could sail back home. Of course, you would need a rudder too. Well done Sir, beautiful!
This video itself is a fine journey. I can tell this is one project you are proud of, and it has a strong, timeless name! Congratulations! God bless ALL of us! WWG1WGA
That was a freaking awesome build Jason the boat looks amazing, and the wee piece of wood sent to you adds a brilliant story Thanks, you always make the videos informative and funny 👍 I wonder what you will build next ... 😊
Here I am in my canoe that I peddle. The peddling turns a couple of paddlewheels on either side. Went from paddling to rowing to bicep tendonitis... Can't stop me from getting exercise. Built a paddlewheel rig that is powered by a bicycle. Drops into the canoe and makes it go go. One day I'll build a fancy looking boat like this. Nice job!
That little message about the USS Constitution (and have woaled aboard while I was in the (US NAVY) and the piece you placed on your boat. Honors Sir and I do enjoy you channel
Looks like someone was freestyling over those plans 🤨. lol Not sure how that one gonna perform, but good effort. You keep working the saw like that and you'll have the hook to go with it soon.
Wood plugs stand out from a mile away even if you try to make the plug grain parallel to the board grain. Make the plug grain perpendicular and consider it a design feature!
I have a question that may stike you as odd, but here goes,. I loved watching this craft being built it was a real pleasure. However, everything aent as normal until you put it into the water, and did something i have never seen before, that being you sat facing forward when rowing is usually done with your back to the bow of the boat. The only place i have seen done the other way round was in Malta were they stand and row looking forward, i wonder why this is, being a small boat the idear being you can apply more leverage when pulling on an ore???
Very nice to watch, with me not watching 'television', channels like yours get me going, painting, wood and stone carving, welding projects, and some small carpentry projects..

I enjoyed watching this the second time as much as I did the first.
I think I'm on my third time viewing this and I absolutely love it!
Its actually a nice design. I enjoyed this video. I have been customizing and doing restorations on Yachts for 47 years. And these videos of people building boat to me is like being there with out getting epoxy on my hands clothes or in my face 🙃
@1:11:15 You are a true MP fan, I think. All you needed was the the "It's"
Excellent series, great build, fab humor.
Love your stuff, carry on.
Never thought I would watch it through to the end when i saw the total length of the video and here I am at the end of it. Amazing build, amazing story...Actually teared up in the end.... And now MY son (12y/o) is telling me to build it! Love you man! Don't ever stop...
Geat video, I lost it at "I installed my checkin' sine". keep up the great work.
Absolutely fantastic job Jason and, such a beautiful idea naming the boat after your Grandmother. Love all your vlogs.
gotta admit I was slightly confused at first as I know you'd done a boat build before but now I understand that you just combined all the old videos into one

I liked watching the beard change colour and length. Thank you for the great entertainment, Jason.🇦🇺
I am amazed at the nay sayers. How anyone can criticize anything so beautiful is beyond my comprehension. Great job Jason especially the end with dedication to your grandma. don't let them get you down. I loved it.
I find so much pleasure in watching your skits and even more in your building. I am not a woodworker but you are a joy.
Watched each segment of this was you released them but I will say it was a pleasure to watch it from beginning to end. Amazing work and attention to detail.

Again, I say good job :)
Here I go, watching this boat build, again. Somehow just as glued to the screen as I was when the individual videos came out. Lol
lol just realized his bespoke ass already made this hahha
What a ride ! This was a great video . Took it in 20 min stages . Made it to the end . Love the boat great work. Great channel!
I teared up a little at the end...I actually was kinda disappointed that the boat didn't officially get christened.....but naming the boat after your grandma was pretty special! Very cool build Jason!
Hey. I just watched your 1st boat build. You’re fun to watch. The boat turned out great
I can only imagine the pride you must have felt upon launching the Verna Louise. May she have nothing but smooth sailing for years to come.
Simply beautiful - the boat, as well as your grandma!
This is the type of video I've been looking for! I'm typing this before I even watch it because I know it's a banger. Can tell just by the thumbnail
Grandma is the best ❤

If a boat is left unpainted, BRASS screws look fantastic! Great job!
This is an absolutely beautiful boat! And I even approve of the colur you chose to paint her (my favorite!) ... I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build her.

Beautiful vessel. Big fan of okoume plywood. That really is a handsome boat my friend. I'm thankful for all the things I've learned from your videos.
I wasn't familiar with this style of boat, without a keel. Makes sense for fishing on a river though, much easier to maneuver without the current impacting you as much.
Thanks for sharing the process!
Can't believe I didn't catch this the first time this video series came out; but where did you get that sweet "Love Thy Neighbor" sweater?
Excellent project. I really like all the little thoughtful things you do to take this to a very usable design. All the latches, the gas shock, the levelers for the door supports and the latches for holding the doors in place. I’m likely to build one of these. Thanks!!
What a nice looking boat you got building there what a great accomplishment so far great job thanks for making these videos. I appreciate it.
That was a clever Life Aquatic reference there. Bravo🎉
Oh. Awesome boat too.
Great video! Love your sense of humor. I'll have to watch your other videos now. Thanks.
Well done! That's a project that takes a lot of skill, and you have it in abundance 😊
Nice job Jason, I watched the originals, but like the compilation better. Thank you

Jason the stuff we used in carbon composite was milled glass, cabosil and micro balloons as either a thickener or strength adding agent
Well Done! Thanks for sharing the Progress and your enormous amount of humor. Great Boat either!
Congratulations bud!!!! What an accomplishment. Great work man🙂!!!!
Loved the videos. Owned a 15 foot 9 inch lapstrake running a 40HP Mercury on Lake Erie. Fun times at 15.
I have absolutely loved watching this video and seeing you make a boat! Absolutely brilliant!
Looks beautiful!
I am pretty sure your grama is very proud of you.

Love the boat color.
It's a work of art. Well done.
They come to life under our hands.
We never name workbenches.
We always name boats with reverence. Now you know why.
I recognize that section of river. I've also floated that section of the river in a raft. Good build.
Impressive, very nice. Now build a Plane.
Yeah, a spruce goose!
😊
GREAT BUILD. I ENJOYED WATCHING. You can be proud of it..
This build is amazing.
You need to call it the HMS. Hernia. Wooden boats weigh a ton. My buddy build a wooden Jon boat 40 years ago and he takes care of it and it still looks great.

Love the long-form video and the boat is excellent - great build.

Thanks, you always make the videos informative and funny 👍
I wonder what you will build next ... 😊
This was different. And just awesome. Loved yhe atuff you added in as your styling.
A wonderful piece of work! I really enjoy all your works but this is really brilliant
All jokes aside your voice can be used for narration for documentaries lol. Like a funny Morgan freeman or something haha. Love your joking commentary
Genial. Me has conmovido por tu trabajo excelente. Disfruta este barco tan bien dedicado a una persona importante en tu vida.
Have you thought of making a detachable cover for fishing in poor weather?
“I may be an idiot, but I’m a teachable idiot” I resonate with that wayyyyyy too much
Wow! Wow! Wow! You're AWESOME!!! Well done man! GREAT job!
favorite build?? Tank lawnmower really needs to be up at the top of that list
My #Burbonblade is on its way!!!!!!!!! So pumped. You know I’m not the biggest fan of metal. It’s cold. Wood is warm. 😉
Here I am in my canoe that I peddle. The peddling turns a couple of paddlewheels on either side. Went from paddling to rowing to bicep tendonitis... Can't stop me from getting exercise. Excellent work Capitan!
Love this! Now build an inground swimming pool🤔
Working the RUclips algorithm! I literally just saw the Spiffing Brit's vid on this yesterday.
The Life Aquatic outfit towards the end sent me.
Great Job! Greetings from Germany 👍
"I may be an idiot, but I am a teachable idiot." Great line!
Any updates on the renovations of the other house
Also it's kind of a bummer to see all the people acting disappointed in the recent videos. Keep doing you 😤
From a retire Sailor, well done Sir, well done.
Looks like someone was freestyling over those plans 🤨. lol
Not sure how that one gonna perform, but good effort. You keep working the saw like that and you'll have the hook to go with it soon.
I like the puzzle piece concept. I’ve looked into boat building (kayaks, canoes and row boats).
Is a scarf joint not practical for this?
Nice to see you make something other than cabinets! 😝
This boat could use some shaker style doors though....
What a great video series! Thank you!
Jason; you sanded those epoxyed sides with no breathing protection?????
Awesome job and boat. God Bless 😊
Do work around the house or spend 98 minutes rewatching a boat build video. Choice is simple.
Bravo super bateau et long vie a verna louise la grand mere formidable inchallah.❤❤
Great Video. Absolutely Beautiful Boat.
Can’t wait to get my very well built chisel knife.
Wood plugs stand out from a mile away even if you try to make the plug grain parallel to the board grain. Make the plug grain perpendicular and consider it a design feature!
Perhaps a few brass cleats added for tie down / mooring lines?
Great job on the boat. How about a small anchor for when you're fishing, or will you just drift away. 😕
This is one amazing build. Super impressive! Great job brother! Wow. How much did the entire project cost to construct? You did a great job man.
What an incredible video man. Great boat too
That is a dam nice boat.
Great job.
Nice don and nice way to talk to us thanx
I have a question that may stike you as odd, but here goes,.

Amazing! How much for one Verna Louise? How much to ship one to Federated States of Micronesia?
