When I first saw that dodge was making the hornet I thought “great, another crappy little suv thing” and when I realized it’s based on the new Alfa and had the potent 2.0 turbo from the Alfa and decent brakes, it really changed my mind. A cheap, semi sporty little suv is a cool segment with next to no competition.
@johnbeckham1483 yes , I enjoy mine aswell, I've been in several crossovers that didn't have the room in them the dart has, I'm very impressed with the trunk space.
Not bad. It’s got some strong competition in its segment. Rav4 and Cr-V are well established. Those two arguably look better than the Dodge. Then there’s the Korean makers who have styling down. Time will tell.
Unfortunately Dodge did not learn how to build one of these this comes from the other Stellantis division Alfa Romeo. Still it's a nice package with the hurricane 4 turbo.

Love your videos JB, but 100,000 miles is the benchmark for reliability? My first new car was a 82 Ford Escort. It had 115,000 when I sold it after 6 years & it was still running great. I would hope reliability of vehicles has improved in 40 years. 😊
I had a Ford Escape with 19 inch wheels. More road noise than any vehicle I've ever owned. Can't believe a Ford engineer let it off the drawing board. My dealer expects to sell 5 of these this year in NM.😊
Great tech for the price, but the hybrid for this isn’t meant for economy. It’s purely for sport reasons, but they really gave this a small engine (larger for its size, but they could’ve done better for the hype). Exterior is kinda meh compared to Alfa. The rear is fine, but the front could’ve used more of a Charger look. It does have software issues and AWD issues (Italy problems).

Yes indeed as the Dodge Dart was considered a mid sized auto! I love my 2014 Dodge Dart SXT!

This is more so trying to compete with HR-V and Corolla Cross than the RAV4/CR-V.

268hp from a turbo 4? My gla 45 amg make 375 from its turbo 4. Dodge could do more.

You should review the Ford Edge ST(and Explorer ST) with the performance brake package.
