- Somewhat of a tutorial on doing a 02-06 RSX Type S clutch and flywheel. If you have any feedback, questions, or suggestions please comment! I will respond to everyone and would love advice on how to increase the quality of my content.
Nice job. Really enjoyed watching this. My rsx has 180k on it and been taking very good care of it. Resealed the whole engine myself, timing chain case and front crank seal can leak a ton of oil.
Haven't paid anyone a dime to work on my car, I found the part about keeping the mounts loose while putting the subframe on to be helpful, definitely going to keep that in mind.
Thank you! Really appreciate your feedback! Good to hear you got that all taken care of! Those leaks always bother me too I like my engine/ transmission clean.
Glad you were able to get some insight from my video! When they are not loosened up it can be a real pain!
Great video!
I love RSX. It’s my dream car.
My B series CRV trans is having trouble mating up to the clutch after an engine swap. Yours looked like it went so easily. I think I'll have to mount the engine and try to attach the trans instead of the engine
Great content man really helped me with putting the clutch in my type s
Im in the process of removing a k series engine but off and accord the rear bracket is a pain so im just going to unbolt the thans ans the 2 bolts that hold the motor to the bracket hope the engine seperates easy from the transmission
Appreciate the video man. Gives me more confidence in doing it myself. 🙌🏼
Glad I could help you! If you have any more questions or need some advice let me know on here or for quicker responses follow my IG. @drbauto
Bro he’ll yeah had Chris Travis playing in the intro
I have a question, I am about to do a clutch replacement on one of these, so I generally hit RUclips to see what I'm getting in to. Well this is video 2 of dropping the subframe and not simply pulling motor and trans together out the top? Is there a reason?
For me dropping the subframe and dropping trans out bottom is way easier then removing whole engine and trans from the top. Seems like a lot more work to bring out motor too.
Hey great job. Just wondering what you would charge to do the job. This is one job I am afraid to tackle. I have a 09 civic si that will need a clutch soon.
Nice video. Imma try using bread to remove the pilot bearing .
I'm currently getting this done on my 05 Civic Si EP3. I'm getting an Exedy stage one. By the looks of it; once completed. I'll be needing an alignment. Was this the case with you?
Greetings, what are the specifications of the enkei tires and wheels?
Did u use loctite on the flywheel bolts?
Aye that’s a Chris Travis beat you had on ?
Hey what are those floor lift type things you have called?
Did you put any lube on the pilot bearing before putting it on? If so could I use some light engine oil?
I only put a very small amount of grease on the inside of the pilot bushing where the input shaft of the transmission rides. I usually use the grease that is supplied with the clutch kit.
How much mileage was on the car when the clutch was changed?
He had about 200k miles
Yo broooooo whats yo it’s been a whole year since this video I remember seein this … you still got those wheels?
Almost forgot ! You should come back to yt spread some knowledge
@@EddieAcostaG20 It was my friends car that I helped do the clutch! I have some footage I need to edit and upload. Just been very busy being a dad and working lol
@@joesautosocal I feel you 100%, how old Is your kid bro? How is it so far being a pops lol
@@EddieAcostaG20 she just turned 2. Its really cool, super rewarding being a dad and seeing her grow up. Just looking forward to taking her camping and on trips.
How much for that clutch replacement?
Is it recommended to change out the bushing?
Yes but few people do
@@scatreed Yes you should change out the bushing every time. Sometimes its a pain but totally worth it. You don't want to take transmission out again over a $10-20 bushing
@@joesautosocal agreed
About how long did it take to change?
About 6 hours if I remember correctly.
Is that 17in rims
Sorry for delayed reply, never saw the comment til now. They are 17s
