I wasn’t very invested in First and Khao, which is unexpected. They are both excellent actors who bring intensity and chemistry to every role. In my opinion, Khao is probably one of the best BL actors out there (he steps into roles so completely that he’s practically unrecognizable from one role to the next). The top five are for sure favorites of mine, I think the one thing Film/Jam, First/Khao and Yin/War have in common is that they have been good friends (or more) for sometime and that for sure can help to make a couple work on screen. There has been a lot writen about and talked about in series, when they cast new couples they have them live together to creat a more realistic bond, maybe there is some truth to it. For those that did not know each other before I think it can lead to close friendships. Mile and Apo for sure have a close bond after doing KP and it seems natural because they don't do fan service. Also Yin and War have talked about the fact that they do not like fan service and what they do is natural. I also feel that right now with the huge explosion of YinWar's popularity they are getting a little over exposed. I think the thing that saves them is they seem to be very open and transparent about things. In their RUclips channels, they do not act like big stars and do not take themselves to seriously. They try to operate as honestly as they can in this over the top shipping culture. Yin talks about how he did not want to be a singer and dancer, he was an actor, but he wanted to work so he could do what he had to, now he likes it. He likes the rush he gets from making people happy. He feels like everyday is like winning the lotto. I think the problem (and I have said it before) with the shipping culture and the fandom is that acting couples become shipped couple and celebrates, singers, dancers and pitchmen. Once that happens, particularly if they are big, it is hard to see them as the role they are playing. It is Bright/Win ,PP/ Bilkin, Yin/War, not the character and people are watching because it is them. We saw this with I Promised You the Moon, PP and Bilkin had become so popular after ITSAY that by the time they released IPYTM it was PP and Bilkin who we saw not the characters they were playing. If these actors really want to grow they should switch it up, not get stuck in a ship. One thing I like about War is he pushes back against being type cast in the wife role, I like what he did in the promos for Partner in Crime concert, I like that he thinks outside the box.
Sometimes I just feel for these actors.. it's like being a BL actor is too much work than being a lakorn actor. We have had these lakorn actors proudly declaring their girlfriends, acting in 2-3 lakorns a year and rest of the time they travel to europe or maldives... and here Bl actors are stuck with fanservice and fanmeets. A lot of actors are here because they want to act in series/movies.. and they are made to act in fanmeets.
A very good list indeed ❤ thank you BLCritic!!!! I thought Pete and Vegas had great chemistry and I absolutely loved Kevin and Pluem from ghost host. They also did a great job! Loved the frozen face partners pics in the special mention 😂😂😂 Edit- forgot to say I’m also team saintZee❤❤
Love that you included Earth Win. As another commenter stated. Gawin First from Not Me were awesome and would love ro see them paired again. Hope your 2023 is off to a great start!
"In all 3 ships one actor carried the whole series, whereas the other was unable to emote basic expression" - Saint Words! And when I believe that Dunk and Book will improve with time, I'm affraid that Jimmy is a hopeless case.
I have but one thing to say: Yes. Even the honorable mentions delivered quite good couples. But I would like to add to consideration some couples as well: - BoomJump and KrisPorsche from You're My Sky. Although they weren't thr main couples, I believe it is safe to say they carried the ones who did not abandon the series. -TutorYim. In the 5 minutes they had, they gave everything and more. Even in terms of "fanservice". I refuse to elaborate more. - AouBoom in Vice Versa. I guess I have already mentioned them somewhere. They did barely nothing, yet there was potential in what was shown. - MosBank from Big Dragon. I mean, the series was average at best, but these two actually deliver couple feels (at the very least, that's what they portray at "fanservice" level) And I will refrain from talking about ongoing series because of the rules you usually follow, but I will say this: some of the series release now at the end of the year would easily run over some ones... And lastly, I pray that you find time to make a Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean couples as well.
I admit I was expecting a list of ships that were divorced from their series, though as I get the sense most of the folks here don't pay as much attention to shipping culture outside of the series themselves (myself included tbh) so maybe that was a silly thing to assume! It's so interesting to me to look at who is successful as a couple vs who is successful in their series, because some of the biggest (in terms of number of fans, number of followers, number/size of events, amount of money they make) are from some of the biggest flops (MosBank from Big Dragon, KaonahTurbo from Love Stage) or not even in a series beyond a tiny cameo yet (NetJames), or in no new series but still popular (BKPP, MewGolf somehow). And sometimes a side couple gets so much attention and love that they get cast as leads in multiple upcoming series, for better or worse (TutorYim, MaxNat). Sometimes when I peek behind the curtain of the shipping world it feels like a completely different space/fandom lol
You make a great point. Mos/Bank perfectly exemplifies a hot ship with a flop series. That might be an interesting topic to explore for future videos. Maybe Mr. BL Critic would like to wade further into the shipping lanes...?
@@j_scott I would also love to hear more of BLC’s take on “shipping lanes” (love that phrase, btw). But hardcore shipping culture is treacherous territory. They scare me a little bit, tbh. I love exploring the underlying psychology of why things are popular. That inevitably leads into discussion of fujoshi, identity/representation, fantasy vs fetishization, cultural ownership, societal expectations and gender roles, etc. I love all that and would be here with enthusiasm for the discussion. But it does require a certain level of maturity from the participants to keep it from blowing up into something ugly, which is hard to find in RUclips comments sections. All that being said, I think BLC’s audience could handle it. And I’d love to hear various people’s opinions (including our host, Mr. bLC himself).
@@leilatimeful You are SO right about the danger of shipping discussions, especially on youtube. Another RUclipsr that I follow posted a video recently about ships that were not real, and there were some folks who tried to get ugly when it was suggested that their beloved ship wasn't real. Shipping is a can of worms that most don't want to open, much less spread out on a table and examine. I think most of Mr. BL Critic's fans would be mature and polite, there are always those who hop in RUclips comment sections looking for a squabble. Mr. Critic did a video on shipping probably about a year ago, but it may be time for an update, especially given some more recent developments in shipping culture.
Top 5 Thailand BL Pairings 2022 1. JamFilm 2. PondNike 3. BillySeng 4. YinWar 5. MileApo Honorable Mentions: GeminiForth and PondPhuwin I'm being perfectly honest, I have ranted about wanting to see more mature actors being cast in BLs, and we have been very blessed with "To Sir With Love", "KinnPorsche", and "Old Fashion Cupcake", but GMMTV's final two BLs being released in the past month, "My School President" and "Never Let Me Go" have made my heart beat with how wonderful those series are doing right now.
As neither current GMMTV BL series has yet hit the halfway mark of its run, I would argue the "Honorable" pairings you cite belong nowhere near a "Best of the Year" style discussion. I do not disparage your enthusiasm for them or their prospects at making this list for 2023. But the inclusion of multiple pairs from Not Me, in the video and the Comments, demonstrates we won't forget worthy performances just because a series debuted in December. Did 2022 not produce other couples worthy of year-end accolades? Who would your heart have been full of if you composed your list in April or August rather than December?
YES to Pond/Nike. They were both so good. Like you, I'm also pleasantly surprised about GMMTV's latest shows. Fingers crossed they don't fall prey to the dreaded Episode 11 Curse.
Without ranking anyone, I'd have included these couples somewhere in my list. I will admit my list emphasizes story originality and overall series vibe (a nod to directing) over acting as I feel previous lists properly credit acting chemistry. But it is all three. [Edit: I also appear to have consciously favored smaller-budget and lower profile productions for this list.] --Meen/Rossi in *On Cloud Nine* (small production heavy on emotion, they managed to grab our attention and set a mood they sustained throughout the brief series.) --Nut/Karn in *Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul* (of the two doomed couples to feature this year, this pair had a stronger, more poignant story than Nut-Plan in *Something in My Room* . Although Nut-Plan left me in tears in their Finale, Nut-Karn's finale resonated deeper, more heartfelt emotions. But both stories felt like something different because "happy ending" had a decidedly unique meaning in the context of these plots.) --Fame / Fluke in *My Ride* (this series created an impression these older characters bonded not merely from unbridled passion but from a sense they were committing to the idea of longterm family. In a genre that often reduces same-sex romance to steamy mutual attraction, that emphasis on commitment and family resonated with this Old Gay Man who raised a child with his husband.) --Honorable Mention: Peter/Boss in *What Zabb Man* (the concept of the hotel magnate smitten with the street food chef kept me watching this pairing despite the weaknesses of the acting and the story. I liked the idea behind these characters, and wish the series had done better telling the story.) --Bonus Mention: PP Krit / Up in *Double Me* (Yes, it's only 11 minutes. Yes, it's basically an extended commercial. Yes, they play estranged Brothers rather than a romantic relationship. But they commanded the screen in 11 minutes, riveted the eye for 11 minutes, and have me thinking of them 11 months later. That's worth an Honorable Mention, surely?)
I agree on Nut/Karn. I really enjoyed Dear Doctor despite the struggle of having to track down a link to watch the series. (Insert my usual rant about ignoring international viewers here). I totally forgot about What Zabb Man. That series could have been really good if it had explored the power dynamic between the two. I've never heard of Double Me. I guess a Google session is in order.
If we’re mentioning short one-offs with outrageous chemistry, I’d like to put in a pitch for “Summerdaze: Christmas Together”. Its Korean, so it doesn’t belong on this list. But MAN, it had me nose to screen for 11 minutes and 52 seconds. It’s based on a series that’s been “in the making” for years because of funding struggles. Definitely worth the 12 minutes of your life. (It’s also on RUclips)
John, I love the shoutout for My Ride. I’m actually thinking that I might put the uncles on my list (when I think through it enough to leave a comment). The list is for “best couples” and not “sexiest couples”, and the uncles had the kind of chemistry that comes from a lifelong relationship. It wasn’t the hormonal brain-tingling attraction from a couple frolicking through their honeymoon stage. These were two people who share their lives together, argue because they worry and care about each other, and have the kind of deep connection that’s built over time. When these kinds of discussions pop up, I always always forget about the My Ride uncles until someone’s mentions them and I remember “oh yeah, they’re my favorite couple from the entire year”. 😅
@@leilatimeful The Uncles made his previous list of Best Side Couples, and I think it's well deserved. Totally agree about Summerdaze, both the original and the Christmas special. I hope they can get enough funding for an actual series.
I really think that the quality of the original material really determine the quality of the end product. The quality of the writers who adapt it as well plays a major part. What do you think of the quality of the source material that is chosen for BL series? Sometimes it seems like it is based on bad slash fan fiction.
Typically, even when I disagree, I gracefully accept Mr Critic's choices as his editorial prerogative for doing the videos in the first place. Hence, I shall refrain from quibbling over the order or arguing against any of the choices. (Self-restraint required for both.) Nevertheless, I shall chide the editorial tone of this video, which I found a lukewarm amalgamation of the two acting lists that dropped earlier in December. But first, some praise! I'd like to add my voice to those expressing year-end appreciation for Mr Critic's labors all year: *To Sir, With Admiration, thank you for enhancing our shared affection for this genre and for giving us a place where we can celebrate both its triumphs and its trainwrecks. May your sarcasm grace our screens again in the year ahead.* With that praise out of the way, let me now deflate the balloon a bit. In my view, the emphasis on acting in this evaluation made the whole list feel indistinguishable from the Best Actors and Best New Actors lists. Obviously the competence of the actors at creating for the screen the illusion of love of and romance between two fictional characters would be a big part. But for me a "Best Couple" is more than just actors' chemistry. I wish story context or originality of character or directorial efforts had played a bigger part in the narration of the list. You might have ended up with the same pairings in the same order. But using a different lens would have produced a final product that didn't feel like a retread.
@@deborahw2770 who? Me? I have not watched any BL in a month. I did not see that one before I wandered away. Why? Does it seem like they'd fit in with the more "off the beaten path" vibeof the series I listed here?
Thank you so much, Mr.BLC for your perspectives throughout the year 2022. Although I did not rank any BL ships ‘cause I am unqualified for watching quite a few shows compared to other BL lovers, still I am posting this for you to know my gratitude & admiration. I find listening to every opinion of yours enjoyable that I even rewatch them from time to time.😊 It gladdens me to see SantaEarth in your list especially Santa ! 🤗 I was blown away by his acting both dramatic & comedic in My Only 12% partially I thought he was an actual first-timer who did a convincing job until I searched for his info. Nevertheless he has a potential in acting considering he’s still quite new in show biz. And lastly though Neo & Mark’s pairing is yet to come, I cannot put in words how excited I am to see them together. I know they’re not leads but for some unclear reason I just know I’ll fall down in a swoon when these two are paired up in a show.🫠
Was this list for Main Couples only? My two favorite couples this year were VegasPete and DanYok. Yes, the main couple shined in both their series, but my heart was with them. They both went through a lot and took me through all the feels.
Yes. He did a separate video for side couples earlier in December. But I see nothing wrong with you preferring side couples to lead couples. Incidentally, both pairs you cite featured in the other list.
I was sad to hear that Earth was treated poorly on Love By Chance and now he is older and was a lead in a BL series I hope he can choose more fun roles. Crying/traumatised gay boy is such a downer of a role to be stuck with. It would be great if he one of the few out gay guys was able to get as complex (sexually positive and character wise) a role as Hetero BL actors.
And now I want a philosophical discussion about what counts as "sex positive" in Thai BL, Korean BL, and Taiwanese BL? Because I don't often find my (western) notion of "sex positive" to be represented. And, no, depiction of an exuberant sex scene is not equivalent to "sex positive." Kinn Porsche, for example, offers sensationalistic sex scenes, but "sex positive" speaks more toward the morality of sex, yes? An attitude towards sex that embraces the activity as a natural part of a balanced life and balanced relationship rather than something to be judged. And did readers note I omitted Japanese BL from the list above? Because THAT discussion would occur on a whole other plane from their Asian neighbors. What a good idea for a future video, Civivva!
Well, one of the more "sex positive character wise" shows that I can think of is "Secret Crush On You" with the characters of Nuea and Toh. Nuea pursued Toh, with a single-mindedness that delighted me. Toh, wasn't a "blushing wallflower/virgin" once things started happening between him and Nuea. Their desire, interest, and actual like of one other was refreshing to me. I also loved that Nuea was shown to be receptive of Toh topping him, that it blew certain viewers minds. It's like they just cannot comprehend that the characters that "fit" the roles of Seme and Uke, can switch things up from time to time.
@@VixenByNight72 and here I thought I was teeing you up to expound on the frankness and matter-of-factness exhibited by J-BL when those characters discuss their sexual histories! It's a far cry from the "purity" obsession evidenced in so many other Bl series outside Japan. But the angle from SCOY you honed in on is certainly valid as well.
@@johnmaster3748 😉 I knew what you where you were going in that topic, but since this is supposed to be based on Thai BLs, I wanted to keep the focus on that country's productions. Along with the point that BLC mentioned in a previous "Best Of 2022" video, that most BL viewers don't watch series that aren't produced in Thailand. In the past 6 to 7 months, I have come across some Twitter posts, in which certain fans go ballistic when other fans praise BLs from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and even Vietnam over Thailand.
Hi, me again. Can you do a video on the amount of social media posts, magazine shoots, interviews, fan meets, concerts and appearances that BL actors have to do? I find it insane the number of RUclips shorts and pictures I see of BL actors. How much PR are actors required to do? Are they paid for these? How do they get and prepare for new BL series? I am particularly interested in the Love in the Air actors (I know you don't like that series) there is no information that they are doing another BL series due to air in 2023 so far except Boss in the GMMTV Zombie series. Thanks in advance.
the topic is really broad. I might do it someday. However, it will be controversial one too as almost all of these actors are underpaid and exploited (work wise mostly) in the name of these promotional events and endorsements. Boss left Memindy ( mame's company) and joined Domundi I think.
@@blcritic I am so sad to hear that as I can imagine all of the TikTok posts and fan meets are tiring to do and cost money regarding styling, transport etc. And obviously the actors need to do it in order to get sponsorship and new BL series. I look forward to when you do a video on this. I appreciate your non fanny eye on the BL industry. I didn't know Boss had left the management company. So I assume he will no longer be paired with Noele(?). One of the guys from the Stalker BL who was also in the 1st story of the War of Y has left his management company.
Hello Sir BLC. Enjoyable video and I don't have a lot to say. I would throw in Louis and Neo from Eclipse mainly because I loved watching their shy relationship develop. Plus "the two lead guys" from Semantic Error. I am the odd man out who had no feelings whatsoever about First Khao in Eclipse and am not too interested in that future ship. Thanks for using the term "infantilizing" regarding Cutie Pie. It turned my stomach with so much Bossy Daddy and his Widdle Baby stuff. Yes, indeed, please widen your scope of countries with BLs in another video (or two if you have time).
Look at you just changing the rules to highlight a side couple (different video, bub!) and a non-Thai couple (here's hoping for a discrete video!). But that's OK. If gay men our age had lived our lives always abiding by the rules, we'd be married to women.
@@johnmaster3748 First of all, I have never been concerned about coloring outside the lines. Whether or not it's on purpose or from a "spaz attack". And John, who's to say you haven't made my wife feel very offended? **wink**
Tbh, infantilizing Nunew's character was not even on my list for not liking Cutipie.I am sure many women fans had no problem with that and must have found it to be 'cute'.
This video dropped December 29, 2022. At the point it was recorded, *Between Us* still had a month's worth of episodes still to air. Those episodes are widely regarded as lackluster. While that perception will influence how the series gets ranked (or doesn't merit consideration), does the weak finish lead you to second-guess their placement in the list (#6)?
It's a passion project that Boun is creating himself, with help from director P'New. Prem has said in interviews that he's in it and they said he helped influence the ending (see here: ruclips.net/video/3gt5kqfW_UE/видео.html about 14 mins in). But I can't find anything more recent than last year about it so I wonder if they were able to find funding. It's possible they're waiting for Between Us to finish so that they can attract more funding/have time, since that series came out later than expected too.
@@civivva4501 yeah I had to validate what was on the page before I believed it too because it's definitely just a placeholder from Studio WabiSabi's announcement in Nov 2021 about their 2022/23 releases. Hi, I have heard Seng is no longer going to work for IdolFactory what does this mean for his partnership with Billy? How easy is it to join another agency? Can 2 actors from different agencies be a couple on a BL series?
Yes 2 actors from different agencies can work together, but it is difficult to work with the former agency again, if there's something ugly that happened behind the scene. However, I must tell you, a lot of actors still think BL as just a ladder, hence after gaining some fame, they want to do non BLs. I am not saying Seng is doing it, but stating a general case only
Mr Critic ranked Pat and Pran in the 2021 version of this list. They also featured in the best acting and best kiss videos for 2021. But solely because the finale aired in 2022, Bad Buddy was ineligible for his 2021 Best Series video (can't rate a series til it actually ends) and so was included on the '22 list instead. For the other lists, they earned their spot based on the work that did air in '21. And nothing in the final two episodes was going to change the perceptions of Pat Pran, Ohm's or Nanon's acting, or that epic Rooftop Kiss in ep 5 (November '21). So, that's the logic for splitting the Bad Buddy accolades between the lists of different years. Love it or leave it. Personally, I like it. But you'll note that Not Me, which was also in progress at New Year but had aired only a few episodes, was held for 2022 lists in every category. And that Between Us is a couple episodes beyond halfway before he released this video, which he deemed enough to include Win-Team now. So, it's kind of arbitrary.
Best Thai couples are a hard one for me. This seems like best BL ship. I really do not ship acting partners together as a general rule. I will share actors that I would like to see together again. MosBank, MileApo, KhaoFirst, BounPrem, and OhmNannon.
Hope life is well for you. I really miss your commentary. I would have loved to hear your take on Only Friends. The discourse about 'good representation', Only Friends vs Heartstopper, the s*x vs the pure narrative. And lastly the creators listening to the audience on twitter and changing the show accordingly. Hope you are OK.
I really enjoyed My School President, it was a cute heartwarming series. However post watching the series I came across a fact that I find disturbing. the 2 lead actors Gemini and Fourth have been working together/coupled since they were 15 and they are not quite 18 now. what does that do to a young person to have that intense preasure on them, to be in BL relationship dramas and all of the fan service they have to do? their sexuality hasn't formed or they wouldn't have had time to start developing it and having GENUINE experiences. I am beginning to feel I am watching actors loose their virginity on my screen for my entertainment. Doesn't this warp a person's psyche about their sexual orientation, meeting genuine partners, having real experiences, their value and the way they treat other people both work wise and possible future partners? Anyway would love to hear your take.
I don't know how to say.. but there are some clips over insta when both of them are seen lip kissing on certain instances, some accidently and some deliberately..
@@blcritic That seems sad to me not cute.
Loved the frozen face partners pics in the special mention 😂😂😂
Edit- forgot to say I’m also team saintZee❤❤
Love that you included Earth Win. As another commenter stated. Gawin First from Not Me were awesome and would love ro see them paired again. Hope your 2023 is off to a great start!
"In all 3 ships one actor carried the whole series, whereas the other was unable to emote basic expression" - Saint Words! And when I believe that Dunk and Book will improve with time, I'm affraid that Jimmy is a hopeless case.
hehe
I have but one thing to say: Yes. Even the honorable mentions delivered quite good couples. But I would like to add to consideration some couples as well:
- BoomJump and KrisPorsche from You're My Sky.
I mean, the series was average at best, but these two actually deliver couple feels (at the very least, that's what they portray at "fanservice" level)
And I will refrain from talking about ongoing series because of the rules you usually follow, but I will say this: some of the series release now at the end of the year would easily run over some ones...
And lastly, I pray that you find time to make a Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean couples as well.
Miss you Mr BLCritic and the other regulars, would so much love to hear what you think about The Eighth Sense, what a masterpiece.
@@j_scott It would be interesting to get his take.
@@j_scott they're SO popular, it's wild! I'd love to hear BLCritic's take, though I expect it would be a lot of work so no pressure on my part.
Top 5 Thailand BL Pairings 2022
1. JamFilm
2. PondNike
3. BillySeng
4. YinWar
5. MileApo
Honorable Mentions: GeminiForth and PondPhuwin
I'm being perfectly honest, I have ranted about wanting to see more mature actors being cast in BLs, and we have been very blessed with "To Sir With Love", "KinnPorsche", and "Old Fashion Cupcake", but GMMTV's final two BLs being released in the past month, "My School President" and "Never Let Me Go" have made my heart beat with how wonderful those series are doing right now.
Who would your heart have been full of if you composed your list in
April or August rather than December?
@@johnmaster3748 If it was April or August, and I could include other countries, my list would be way different. 😃 😀 😄
YES to Pond/Nike. They were both so good.
Like you, I'm also pleasantly surprised about GMMTV's latest shows. Fingers crossed they don't fall prey to the dreaded Episode 11 Curse.
@@j_scott actually, I thought GMMTV mostly avoided, or at least downsized, the Penultimate Curse this year.
@@johnmaster3748 Maybe not completely avoided (see Enchente and The Eclipse), but it was less egregious than in previous years.
Without ranking anyone, I'd have included these couples somewhere in my list. I will admit my list emphasizes story originality and overall series vibe (a nod to directing) over acting as I feel previous lists properly credit acting chemistry. But it is all three.
[Edit: I also appear to have consciously favored smaller-budget and lower profile productions for this list.]
--Meen/Rossi in *On Cloud Nine* (small production heavy on emotion, they managed to grab our attention and set a mood they sustained throughout the brief series.)
--Nut/Karn in *Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul* (of the two doomed couples to feature this year, this pair had a stronger, more poignant story than Nut-Plan in *Something in My Room* . Although Nut-Plan left me in tears in their Finale, Nut-Karn's finale resonated deeper, more heartfelt emotions. But both stories felt like something different because "happy ending" had a decidedly unique meaning in the context of these plots.)
--Fame / Fluke in *My Ride* (this series created an impression these older characters bonded not merely from unbridled passion but from a sense they were committing to the idea of longterm family. In a genre that often reduces same-sex romance to steamy mutual attraction, that emphasis on commitment and family resonated with this Old Gay Man who raised a child with his husband.)
--Honorable Mention: Peter/Boss in *What Zabb Man* (the concept of the hotel magnate smitten with the street food chef kept me watching this pairing despite the weaknesses of the acting and the story. I liked the idea behind these characters, and wish the series had done better telling the story.)
--Bonus Mention: PP Krit / Up in *Double Me* (Yes, it's only 11 minutes.
@@j_scott never mind Google. A RUclips search should suffice. And if you blinked, you missed it.
It's almost always based on "bad slash fiction." It's usually based on the number of hits that story has received particular online sites.
@@VixenByNight72 thanks, that explains so much.
Are you watching the 8th sense?
@@deborahw2770 who? Me? I have not watched any BL in a month. I did not see that one before I wandered away. Why? Does it seem like they'd fit in with the more "off the beaten path" vibeof the series I listed here?

Although I did not rank any BL ships ‘cause I am unqualified for watching quite a few shows compared to other BL lovers, still I am posting this for you to know my gratitude & admiration. I find listening to every opinion of yours enjoyable that I even rewatch them from time to time.😊
It gladdens me to see SantaEarth in your list especially Santa !
I know they’re not leads but for some unclear reason I just know I’ll fall down in a swoon when these two are paired up in a show.🫠
hehe.. same here.. though I adore Neo louis pairing.. I think New Mark will also be wonderful.. esp looking at the projects they have in 2023.
@@johnmaster3748 I'd like to see that, too.

This video dropped December 29, 2022. At the point it was recorded, *Between Us* still had a month's worth of episodes still to air. Those episodes are widely regarded as lackluster.

What Leila said. And #1 on that list.
Did i miss Ohm Nanon ?

Is anyone watching the 8th sense? @John Master
I realise I am in the minority when it comes to BL series viewers as I am only interested in the trailer and the series. beyond that the actors don't exist for me. but without fandom and cute couple moments actors don't get sponsorship deals and new dramas. it is a shame that these 2 really young guys are already on the BL treadmill.
Milo and Apo are the only worthy casting this year. They looked good together, suited the characters too as if they were written for them. The second best that come to mind are Bible & Build. Other pairs that you mentioned are ok but they didn’t suit the story or the characters in totality, imo.

Hi, I have realised that the English subtitles really hurt the enjoyment of a series. The subtitles for Love Syndrome are so bad and in such broken English that it makes me hate the show. A trope I don't like that I have seen in 3 Thai BL series is the more dominant character is overly possessive of their partner and polices their clothing and appearance. They asks them to wear trousers instead of shorts. It is played as cute but it comes off as gross. My Only 12%, Ghost House, Ghost Host and AiLongNhai. I would hate this in a hetero dramas.
