I'm pretty new to the thai bl fandom and I find these tours and merch stuff kinda absurd lol. Maybe it's bc I live in europe and it's all so far away from me. But I completely agree, why do they have to keep doing their role even after the show is over?? And I've seen so many fans speculating if some ships are real off-screen too like.... They are just paid actors and apparently are told to keep acting even once the show is over. Some fans are kinda creepy.
@@blcritic It feeds into the never-ending desire to have their fantasies fulfilled, once the series has ended. The fan service, sadly will only continue to become even more over the top, with the quantity of BLs being produced, because these production companies know that the fans that do want fan service are willing to pay whatever amount is required, in order to get their fix.
The target audience of these bl dramas are mostly young straight women. Some fans are too young hence naive to differentiate between the reel and real. So, I won’t blame them but the industry, company, and actors who feed into their delusions. Moreover, in most interviews they get questions about the actor they are shipped with and somehow the interviewee comes up with the cheesiest answer possible. This is like encouraging the fans to ship them simultaneously complaining about getting shipped.
Thank you for raising the topic. I think some singers used acting in a BL as a way to get more fans for their musical career. Interesting point on Time Gaps between roles because absence can make the heart grow fonder but the fear is fans may simply forget & move on. Also I wonder if that's the case based on region or age of fan base and if the actors can maintain themselves working only some of the time not now striking while their career is hot. The agents might not be the only ones pushing to do more sooner rather than later. (Side note: the Perth/Saint situation still breaks my heart.... I'm still praying to the Gods of BL for Ae/Pete to have an onscreen happy ending. I know won't happen but I can still hope.) Thank you again for your time and for sharing your thoughts. Many hugs, Z.
some are really good singers and musicians.. like Jeff.. even Sing Harit won a guitar competition in his teenage years.. there are others who are trained singers. But most just play a musical instrument just as a hobby.. or are just bathroom singers.
I am new to BL and I live in the UK so I was stunned at the number of magazine shoot pictures I saw people posting for KinnPorsche. It looked to me like Hollywood movie level photoshoots. Impressive. I don't watch the in-person stuff as I have no interest in the actors themselves. I just like the characters they play in the series and that is it.
Exactly. In the best case, you learn that the actor is a nice person, in the worst case, that he is an abusive asshole, like Kevin Spacey. After that I couldn't watch "House of cards" anymore, and he is a gifted actor-
have you read about one of the screenwriter of Kinn porsche who now left.. and Apo has said he will never work with him.. Barcode was told to give him a massage something.. I haven't followed up much. but there were some allegations however the production company was able to suppress it and fire that person. I still do not know the whole picture.. if someone knows please correct me if i have understood wrong.
@@blcritic It’s been over a week since your comment, so maybe you already know this now. But it was apparently both the two authors of the original novel. They both seemed to have been harassing the actors. There’s a video of Mile outright stating that they harass the cast, as well as several videos of them touching cast members, trying to unbutton Apo’s shirt, and various other things. What I’ve seen being termed the “grooming of a minor” (them privately instructing Barcode that has to give them massages if he wants to be a “good actor”) is what finally lit the fire of outrage, but it seems like the cast have been mentioning it for a while now. I don’t normally jump on the bandwagon for things that can often be misunderstood without context, this one seems to be legit sexual harassment by both authors. 🧐
I was worried about Barcode.. he is just 17 and poor him.. he just told about massage as it is not even a big deal.. it was made to seem so okay by them.. I have seen thinks like this a lot in showbiz.. I can just guess how bad it is in BL.
@@blcritic Yeah, some of the cast (particularly Jeff) have seemed unusually protective of him. I just assumed it was a part of the performative shipping that comes with being in a BL cast, plus some older brotherly mentality. In retrospect, however, it takes on a very different light.
Thank you!!! I agree with most of what you say- as someone from different part of the world and different culture: all this shipping concept was new to me and actually I don't like it! 😡 i think its way out of the proper boundaries.. and as far as I know, this invasion of the actors/singers privacy and production companies managing lives is not only a BL problem. Kpop idols suffer from the same problem and KDrama actors as well. Is it the young fans fault? its not only Asian problem... One direction for example also suffered from the same fate 😟 About the world tour- this is something I do understand (but not the so called romantic games) , when I was a teenager the series "Fame" did their world tour (fame, i'm gonna live forever...oh, sweet 80s ) I was so excited when they got to my country , so its not a new thing. I am sure many actors are happy for the tours and they earn well from all this media exposure , the question is - is there still an option in the BL industry to just be a simple good actor without the full "talent show shebang"??? *** I myself sometimes talk about the ships but only from the acting/series point of view, their characters and chemistry, not about the private personal actors lives...... none of my god damn business, but I guess its also my age that affects this opinion.
The question wasn't much explored. I don't like extreme fan service. And I agree with what I think you put forward, that the actors just want to act, and not be required to constantly mack on each other. I find it very annoying to have to hear/see 'oh! they are boyfriends for real!' comments all the time. But that is from fan accounts more than anything else. I find some ships very natural, like OffGun or MaxTul, where they seem like real friends who enjoy each others' company. The OOT affection is sort of amusing, and they genuinely appear to be comfortable with each other, while other ships, like MewGulf occasionally became terrible, like when Gulf had to apologize for having a relationship with someone not Mew. And the crabby dust up at the OhmNanon show was very uncomfortable. The guys are actors. Fans really aren't entitled to control their 'private' lives, and the companies shouldn't try to, either.
Oh the entitlement of the fans. I just cant handle it. If only I can find a way to get notif updates from my faves immediately, i will leave twitter to get away from the them coz i cant take the shippers' thought process. But they give me fast updates esp when the actor dont update in socmed. Also what do you mean by crabby dust?
Even here in Germany, where I do not actively seek more detailed information about series or actors, the algorhythm of youtube alone brings me a lot. Embarrassing games in front of a screaming audience, comments about the supposed love of the actors to each other, announcements of tours, etc. Also, the always same pairings of certain actors are noticeable even to me, which I have not been watching Thai series for so long. The couple from "until we meet again" annoys me by the eternally same characters they have to play and by the fact that Fluke is actually a better actor than he can show in the pairing with Ohm. OffGun have gotten better together. I've actively withdrawn from the hype surrounding these two. What the two do or don't have in private is so present that it really turned me off and I actively ignore anything related to it. But the series " Not me" was really good and also lives from the fact that the two have known each other for a long time and can act well together. There the eternally same pairing is positive for the series. You can't tell what the actors are suffering privately. You can only guess. I wish all of them a little more peace and private life and some of them a nice girlfriend without fans getting the crisis.
When you mentioned UWMA I thought you were going to talk about Boun and Prem for a second 🤣 because those two are also doing the same characters/dynamic over and over. At least in Love at 9/Oh My Sunshine Night Fluke's character is different from in UWMA but Boun and Prem in Even Sun may as well be Win and Team in an alternate universe fanfiction. It also feels like both of these series were thrown together a bit haphazardly to make up for Between Us/Hemp Rope taking so long. I'd rather wait for quality than be given mediocre fanservice to tide me over.
@@twigtea Ditto, but these guys have to have some sort of income coming in (aside from the gifts from fans). So, their agents/management companies find these other projects to keep them on Thai TV/international platforms, so that us fans will be happy to see them, until their big TV series adaption is available.
@@VixenByNight72 yeah, I understand the business reasons for the decision. In some ways it's admittedly silly to be upset at them being in less than top-notch series because I could in theory just not watch. But I do worry about their health/being overworked. Hopefully their companies take good care of them.
I agree.. that Ohm Fluke ship also needs to get good series.. I still am unable to make up my mind to watch both oh my Sunshine night and even sun the series...
@@blcritic 😃 😀 I say wait until the series of "Even Sun" is completed before watching it. The storylines in that series don't make sense, but the location is gorgeous. As for "Sunshine Night"....sigh. I'm keeping up, because I'm interested in the possibilities of the side pairings at this point in the series.
Worse. For the simple reason that this year's fan service "performances" will always feel pressure to meet or exceed what last year's delivered. So the culture becomes more entrenched and calcified.
As I am watching some... I feel them more pressure than (let's say) 5 years ago. then also they had fan meets.. but some would just lip sync and some would just sing off track.. or dance funny.. it was supposed to be just a fun performance.. some would enact some funny moments from the series... and mostly it would be signing the t-shirt and caps and interactions.. now a days it is like proper concert.. like the one yesterday with the F4 guys 'shooting stars' concert.. Bright is a trained singer.. he has done a lot of cover songs .. he can play guitar.. but the others had to go to Green's vocal coaching studio in Silom overtime, they must have been more stressed than Bright...
you know honestly I think its kind of hilarious how people ACTUALLY think that the two actors are dating irl. Like if it was one or two pairings its possible but the AMOUNT OF PEOPLE who ACTUALLY think that every BL pairing dates irl is so funny. I came across fanservice while watching kristsingto videos and i didnt know anything abt fanservice back then and the way they acted i thought maybe they are a couple irl too. But then i got to know that almost EVERY bl pairing is shipped and the actors are SUPPOSED to act that way with each other for fanservice and was so disgusted. When I discovered thai BLs I was so happy to see THIS HUGE AMOUNT of gay representation onscreen and as an asian myself i was so stunned. This is such a great thing for asia with the amount of BL shows we have but fanservice and shipping ruins everything
Well off screen shipping is actually a problem.. and those fan service.. I have no words.. I thought things will chance in 2022, when we have a lot of BLs and there are different ships.. but it looks like we have to wait couple of more years..
I don't think it's entirely new, though, BL actors have been doing the OSTs and fan concerts post-series since at least Love by Chance and SOTUS. There have been concerts for all of the big ships over the years, in multiple countries (though maybe not outside of Asia). I used to find it charming that folks were on the OST and people would go to see them perform live, even if they couldn't really sing. But it has gotten more sophisticated now, with official "bands" (like the Be My Boyfriend series & band group, and the KinnPorche band) and I think the scrutiny/expectation is higher. Mostly I worry that folks are overworked, or forced to do things they don't want to do, and I hope they get breaks and some say in their work so that they don't burn out. That being said, apparently the press junkets in North America for films are exhausting and horrible too in a different way (because you have to answer the same 5 questions over and over) so who knows, maybe singing, dancing, and variety shows are more interesting for at least some of them.
I think the press junkets are relatively easier, than what happens within the Asian BL industry. The actors doing the press junkets really do not have to behave like they're "in love" with their co-star 24/7 pre, and post press junket for their projects.
@twigtea... I agree.. those previous ones of Sotus and Love By Chance.. or even 2 moons 2 were fun ones.. they'd sing the OST.. or other songs.. lip sync and dance.. and everybody would have fun.. now it is too much pressure.. they have to perform like actual singers.. give proper concerts.. a bit too much for them i think.
@@blcritic I will say from clips so far, everyone at the KinnPorche live show seem to be really happy (though they did also seem tired in the run-up BTS footage), which is a bit of a relief. The live stage in front of a stadium of people can be a pretty amazing feeling, if that's your thing (seems like a nightmare to me but that's why I've never tried to be famous 🤣)
I think most need to remain in the limelight to stay relevant in this world of social media frenzy acting and just going home won't cut it cos most times they make their money through deals rather than the series itself so I understand sometimes why it's like this. P.S please give unforgotten night a chance it might not be the best BL out there but they are improving with each episode and the cast and crew are doing a good job so far
It’s just sad that these guys have to do all these extra work just cos they’re bl actors. They are actors just like every other one out there for Pete’s sake. They shouldn’t have to go through all the extra huddle. Sadly, fans toxicity sometimes also put them in these positions.
It is actually sad.. as these actors are stereotyped as BL actors.. and just thought as pretty face... and they have to do more hardwork than the so called mainstream actors.
As an American, I didn't really get fanservice until I started listening to Kpop and watching Thai BL, specifically SOTUS. The whole Krist/Singto fanservice thing had me wondering if it actually was real because I'd never seen it before. Sure One Direction did a little flirting, but nothing like the Thai BL actors or Kpop bands like OnlyOneOf. (if you haven't seen their video for Libido, do yourself a favor and go watch it). It's fun to watch and imagine and fantasize, but I'm sure it's very trying for the actors who have to perform it. Now, I'd rather see no fanservice at all and not have to watch those silly games that give me second-hand embarrassment. Ugh. I hadn't considered your point about forcing actors to sing and dance. Maybe I naively assumed that they enjoyed doing that? I'm sure for some actors - like maybe Jeff Satur with singing - it is fun. I can see how exhausting it might be, though, if that's not something you love. It has to be mentally and physically draining.
Well, it's kind of like the kid performers/actors brought up in the Disney TV factory. These kids are basically trained to perform from the time they are 8/10 years old until they hit their mid/late teens. They're only able to branch out, once they're released from their years long contract with that company, and then they usually try to find projects that showcase them as so different from the characters that are familiar to their young fans.
@@VixenByNight72 Yes, like Miley Cyrus. That sort of training program and contract system is truly a double-edged sword. Fame and fortune for some, but also trapped in a character-shaped box.
You raise a very good question. I find the whole fan service thing to be incredibly creepy. The only way it will change is if the fans a) tell the production companies they don’t like it, but honestly more likely is b) boycott the events and the advertisers who sponsors these events. Ultimately money (or the lack thereof) is a great motivator.
@@blcritic true and I think that's y people are weary to talk about it bc it pulls the blinders way of and shows them the real in all aspects from the actors, managers, behind the scenes
I think it will change, especially when "War of Y" debuts. Its premise sheds another spotlight on the BL industry just like "Call It What You Want" did when it debuted. I'm seeing more shippers being called out on their toxic behaviors like stalking (I'm looking at you Be On Cloud calling out fans following actors to their cars!) and using the actor's photo to promote gambling websites (Yep, much respect to GMMTV clearing up Gun's image). It has yet to be seen if there are repeat offenders or first timers. The fact remains that BL actors still need to be on all their guards and then some in order to keep working as an actor, let alone in a BL series. Your discussions are on point and yes, I'm tired of Copter and Kim as I'm sure they are also. 🤣 Hugs from Orlando, FL. ☀🌴🏖
Every teaser of War of Y is something.. hope it will call out all the bad things happening in BL industry. Even Lovely Writer also pointed out some of the issues of BL
@@blcritic I hope that "War of Y" shows all aspects of the sometimes damaging/harmful aspects of the BL industry. I also hope that viewers actually look at the fictionalized stories being focused on in that series, and look at their own behavior in order to try and not be contributors to the madness.
Oh please god no ON fanservice coz nanon doest have a poker face so whenever he is uncomfortable you see it on his face and it's soooooo cringe and awkward.
Just when I also thought fanservice had ended. BAM! It is everywhere. The only one I could support is fanmeeting. Where you just interact with the actors, take pictures and go home, finish. Fanservice give me "third hand embarrassment".
The sad fact of it is unless your like a big name actor like Tom cruise or Brad pitt your not gonna get million dollar deals just for acting in something. So promoting a product, selling dolls or shirts or appearing at events is going to help you not end up broke lol. I just hope they enjoy the entertaining the crowd bit of their jobs and don't find it to burdensome.
Well the aspiring actors do a lot of things not to get broke.. the easiest being the 'star' at the opening of some small clothing shops or restaurants. they'll get some gifts, decent pay for 1. physically attending, 2. promotion the store in social media. I think this is better than going to dinner with uncles.
Ive seen so many people saying 'If they are choosing a BL series they know what theyre getting into' and consider their inherent right to ship them and make uncomfortable and disgusting comments about them. They are so delulu and really dont understand how violated and uncomfortable the actors feel. Yes you are not doing something illegal like this but its basic human decency to show respect towards someone. And if that someone is doing whatever they are doing to entertain you u should show respect towards them.
Some of the fans don't understand due to their young age, and lack of real life experience. The others, who choose to use "the actors that go into BLs 'know' what is expected of them", really use that belief, in order to put their delulu fantasies first and foremost, over the actors well-being. I really don't see this type of delulu behavior with opposite sex pairings, especially in Thai lakorns. Let's use as an example the Thai remake of "Boys over Flowers", "F4" featuring Bright, Win, and a young new female actress named Tu. The comments that this young actress received all over social media, when the delulu BrightWin fans found out that Bright was being paired up with her, were absolutely horrible. They couldn't be happy to know that both Bright, and Win were still able to work together in a new series. They were threatened with the knowledge, that their fantasies, about BrightWin were just not true, and they lashed out towards the actress.
Hmm curious to know if these actors who are part of the ship get to play other roles other in between their bl shows. I see it in gmm. But i wonder how its done in other management. Ok. I will do my research😂. Coz 2yrs gap maybe unnecessary if they do other projects (non-bl preferably) in between like at least 2 shows .
Some have done other roles in between too... apart form Gmmtv actors.. but sad still now a lot of them are stereotyped as BL actors and end up getting side roles in full fledged lakorns.
JOKE OF THE DAY Playing tour guide to my sister last night, we drove past a boat sales dealership. (It was that kind of town.) The marquee signboard out front proclaimed the Boat Name of the Week to be *Ohm sweet Ohm* . "Sounds about right to me," I said aloud. Befuddled looks from sister and husband. They don't watch BL, so both clueless. But you all know I am not crazy, but right!
So, John, not only do you pass me up at various So. Cal bus stops in your luxury car but now you have your tourist family with you. I know you were pointing at me as you whizzed past and saying, "See? Aren't you glad you don't live here?".
My opinions I think, actors becoming singers is a universal phenomenon, as I have seen this in other film industries also (remember Dwayne Jhonson's song from Moana. Who would have thought in 1990s that he will be singing in a movie and that too in an animation). So this can be considered as part of changes occurring in an industry. Same goes with dancing too. If they enjoy doing all these things then it wouldn't be problem; but, if it is the other way around it would be really stressful. IMO learning a new skill helps them to progress in their career, but there should be a balance in everything one do. Regarding marketing part, companies like GMMTV should tie up with e-commerce website instead of selling them in their own website. Thy will definitely get more reach. FANSERVICE- As an Indian I really dont understand why actors have to do these kind of stupid things during fan service. Awkward moments during fanservice should be avoided. People should think about the mental stress of the actors too. All these fanservice and or tours must be there in the contract, so it doesn't matter if they are willing or not. As they are actors it is not a big deal for them to act in front of their fans also (strictly my opinion). "Actors remaing actors", I don't agree completely, as some may like to experiment more- like producers/directors/ or other roles in later life. I like shipping Ohmnanon. Although I like Ohm a bit more, andam waiting for nanon's midnight series- dirty laundry (his character looks interesting). I also want to see Nanon as a director and Ohm in his film or drama (what a beautiful dream 😊)
Oh its worst coz as bl gets more mainstream and gains more inter fans. I dont know man. I am here for the characters they play (thus acting skills is very important to me). But seeing the delulu on the daily in twt apparently that is the minority and not the norm. When one of the ship works with a female in a het role. Or, if both pairs are not seen together or dont post anything they make up stories. It's hard for me to understand y they some cant differentiate the actors from the characters. I watched the kazz awards and all I can think of is...why are these ships performing. Ok. Given its my first kazz awards so I have no idea. But for me if ur nominated it's understandable why ur performing despite ur lack of skill and or talent. But if ur not nominated, y are they forming even though very few can actually sing. to incr visibility?
Final phrase is so true! Thank you. Shipping culture also gives fans some power. It could lead to false goal to please fans with final product. I feel physical pain when I hear a screaming crowd of girls, and see a"ship" that is trying hard to convince that they are a real couple.
@@blcritic Well, Mew did this interview in which he stated that what he does with his onscreen partner is "imaginary CP" work, and that the viewers can ship the characters all they want, but that should be the extent of what's required of him as a performer. Especially now that he has someone in his personal life. So the MewGulf fans are insisting that the "faen" in his life "has to be Gulf", and then there's the "ghost ship" of MewTul fans, that think it's Tul from the MaxTul ship. It's all just absurd craziness. Decades ago, I thought nothing could ever top the "Lord Of The Rings" tin-hat fandom shanninigans, but then I discovered BL in 2021.
I saw upvel and 1 ep of safehouse. Safehouse was so boring. I realised I don't like reality TV shows.I don't have patience for fan service interviews, neither do I like the over cutesy behaviour of some of them . Bible I noticed is so normal in his interview.I would be a lackluster shipper: wouldn't buy plush toys ( dust gathering), wouldn't go to a concert/ mall just to see them kiss/touch each other.I don't even care if they're really dating each other or not!
I have just read : The courage to be disliked by two Japanese writers Fumitako Koga & Ichiro K. I would like to recommend it. It's a fresh approach to how to live out our personal mental & emotional lives.
@@zahrabjinu it did sound interesting so i checked and luckily it's on the book app i pay for both voice and to read, I will give it a go listening while gardening. 🙂 And reality shows never had any appeal to me, i think most are more boring than my own life, hehe. One thing with getting olderish is that you've seen and done quite a few things (cough) so my favorite sport while watching dramas is to smugly grin and nod to myself, yep done that, been there and so on. Not a lovely personal trait but oh well, we can't all be perfect. 😎
Pairing actors or actresses together has been a long standing practice. Abbott and Costello did 36 films together (yes, John, I looked it up). Of course, they are a famous comedic duo. However, the principal is the same. Certain acting duos are literal goldmines for studios, agencies, advertisers, and the actors themselves. That's the entertainment industry. It will run a ship into the ground as long as it makes money without regard for the well being of the performers (with some notable exceptions) and I do not see that changing without massive push back from the actors themselves as a whole. The problem is the BL industry itself for multiple reasons. For starters, the BL fan base is inherently toxic and the pandering that is done for additional profit intensifies that toxicity. As DMR2006 noted, press junkets are part of the job. Pretending to be a couple outside of the movie or drama seems odd to me. People do wonder about on set and off set romances of the actors with the thought that some chemistry is just too real. However, expecting the actors to be lovey dovey to promote their "ship" or acting partnership is ludicrous to me. This sets up the unrealistic entitlement of toxic fans. I have always said that I am not a fan of fan service but it seems to be working. Fan service blurs the line of reality and make believe causing the BL delulus to froth and act up. Before becoming a BL fan, I was a Bollywood fan (still am). Almost all Bollywood actors can sing and/or dance. You have to be a triple threat to be top tier. It seems to be that industry's standard (correct me if I am wrong). Most performers know that going in and sign up for it. Now, to change the game midstream and force actors to take dancing or singing lessons so they can join the band or world tour is excessive. I am all for an actor branching out and being multi-talented if they so choose. It's the additional pressure or coercion that bothers me. End of rant. Just my two cents to take or leave on the pavement. :)
I do appreciate a well-researched rant! I would point out that the duo you cite was famous 80 years ago, during the Studio System era. Same with Crosby and Hope. Hudson and Day. Most actors today try to avoid that kind of repetition. (Also, Abbott and Costello were a comedy team that began performing together onstage, vaudeville. So, they worked together really really often outside the context of film.)
All Bollywood actors do train in dance especially the younger lot but they cannot sing. The songs they break into are sung by special playback singers and the actors just lip sync. Playback singers are huge in their own way, have fans and clout. Its a very rare Bollywood actor who can sing and will get to sing his own songs in his/her movie.( 1 in a million chance) Lol
@@johnmaster3748 Yes, I picked that particular comedy duo to show how far back actor pairings go. It's a historical reference. :) Also, I am a classic or golden era movie buff.
I find the world tours, artists suddenly singers and dancers, fan Mets, marketing, etc. curious. From my outsider point of view, I would think the demands are stressful on actors. I’m happy to enjoy a good BL series. I have no interest in the rest of it.
BLC---is this a bad time to promote my new line of plush "Product Placement Dolls"? I think the situation has worsened with the advent of the fan service. I believe we will see the KinnPorsche people trying not to make fools of themselves on their upcoming tour. The idea of "suffering in the glare of the limelight" isn't new. Celebrities have always felt pressure to look, act and date in a certain manner. That doesn't mean I don't feel for these young people trying to grow up and grow within the industry and dealing with so much pressure. Your video was so informative and thought-provoking. The general public understandably tends to think of the fame depicted as being so much fun, making tons of money and traveling. Yes, there's that but essentially BTS info like you provided helps give us a better understanding of the bigger picture.
When I hear ohmnanon will have fanmeeting I was not happy at all bcz I find fan meeting cringe and specially After seeing kp concern I m afraid if they let them do some cringe thing to ohmnanon they are kindly uncomfortable this kind of thing especially nanon I hope they won't force them to do.i don't I m very nervous..
I happened to see few shorts of world tour of KP right now. It was so amusing. They stripped - the wonderful men of KP shirtless, mimicking some overt sexual dance moves! @@tikakhatri2468 Same here. I didn't expect that. After all it has been fun & games on the stage, with a cuddle here & there in fan services uptill now. I guess someone in their dance choreography got too carried away and KP men agreed to a strip show!
@@zahrabjinu There was no apparent, nor cohesive theme to their "world tour", other to titillate, appease, and satiate the fans. I guess "KinnPorsche" really hasn't "changed the BL industry", when they have to do all the typical things to keep fans interested in them, until the sequel. Sailor Moon, a period costume segment, guys in do-rags, stripping, and then the re-enactments.
@@VixenByNight72 guys in do rags? Are you talking about strategically torn clothes , jackets and pants? I also noticed Kinn & Porsche didn't do the stripping. Minor family and some bodyguards did it. I agree, toooooo much KimCop this year and all their shows are a big disasters for me! I am from Slovakia and I have no idea about personal lifes of the actors. Sometimes I really have to ask myself, do we live in the 21 century? How can some fans still get not to know, that the couples in a series are just for entertiment? Commone guys, they are actors, they have right to have their personal life. And all the world tours? It´s all about the money and the actors get more tired... PS: I would like to see Bible and Build again as a couple any time soon
I want don’t want to stop ships but I need long bad ships to stop and sink. Or even good ships to be docked because it becomes like old gum chewed one too many times that lost its flavor and hard to chew after a while. I don’t care for cringey fan service where I know straight (and even if they are gay) to put out PDA. I want to talk to the actors, not these fictional characters they play in a show. I don’t think people would stop buying merchandise just because they aren’t in a ship. Like BTS sells merchandise w/o any ship products. Also, the product campaigns has nothing to do with their fake characters but how much people like the actors. I mean I would buy the Vichy product Bible just did a sponsorship for because the man is gorgeous and has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with him being Vegas. I don’t need him to be with Build to sell me that. It would make zero sense to if he and Build did the ad together. Like how Blackpink each have a brand they are brand ambassadors for
I love ohm and nanon but i think they shouldnt stuck each other kindly disappointed by seeing them continously promoting cp and dont for how many year gmmtv will push them hope and pray both will do individual work and stop promoting cp
Well as long as the ship is profitable the agency will push them. they might come up with a continuation or another series for 2023 with them too as their new ships Force-book and Jimmy-Sea didn't create wonders as they expected.
Some fans are kinda creepy.
really true.. I also can't get.. why the fans think they are real.. they were paid to do the roles.. and even the fanservice has big rewards.
I know won't happen but I can still hope.)
Thank you again for your time and for sharing your thoughts.
i think its way out of the proper boundaries.. and as far as I know, this invasion of the actors/singers privacy and production companies managing lives is not only a BL problem. Kpop idols suffer from the same problem and KDrama actors as well. Is it the young fans fault?
its not only Asian problem... One direction for example also suffered from the same fate 😟
About the world tour- this is something I do understand (but not the so called romantic games) , when I was a teenager the series "Fame" did their world tour (fame, i'm gonna live forever...oh, sweet 80s ) I was so excited when they got to my country , so its not a new thing.
It's the feeling of "entitlement" that is bothersome to me. It's too invasive to me.
@@maedaydreamer8386 I was referring to Ohm being grumpy at one of the get togethers
@@VixenByNight72 that is definitely true!!
@twigtea... I agree.. those previous ones of Sotus and Love By Chance.. or even 2 moons 2 were fun ones.. they'd sing the OST.. or other songs.. lip sync and dance.. and everybody would have fun.. now it is too much pressure.. they have to perform like actual singers.. give proper concerts.. a bit too much for them i think.
I am a very shy person.. always tried to avoid showbiz but showbiz always catches me...
Yes, I too think that unforgotten night is improving
Jeff satur is a singer so he is not singing for fun. He is technically a musician for like ten years now
@@deborahdowuona2515 Yes, I know that.
But none is going to happen. The recent 2 day event of the Bangkok leg of the world tour of a BL showed that
@@blcritic Sadly you are right. I guess ultimately all each of us can do is to vote with our money.

True.. War of Y is like a crash course of behind the scene from BL industry.
Im not sure about how KP world tour will go today, but I pray ON won't do cringy stuff for the sake of fanservice
@@blcritic Yes, going to dinner with Uncles and YOU are the dessert! But to be serious most of us would do the same, ribbon cutting with a smile.

So, John, not only do you pass me up at various So. Cal bus stops in your luxury car but now you have your tourist family with you. I know you were pointing at me as you whizzed past and saying, "See? Aren't you glad you don't live here?".
My crazy ass would have stopped the car to take a picture of the sign and giggled myself silly.
My opinions
I think, actors becoming singers is a universal phenomenon, as I have seen this in other film industries also (remember Dwayne Jhonson's song from Moana.

To increase visibility, and to remind fans/viewers of your presence, and any upcoming series that will be released.
Final phrase is so true! Thank you. Shipping culture also gives fans some power. It could lead to false goal to please fans with final product. I feel physical pain when I hear a screaming crowd of girls, and see a"ship" that is trying hard to convince that they are a real couple.

Its a very rare Bollywood actor who can sing and will get to sing his own songs in his/her movie.( 1 in a million chance)
Lol

Thanks...
All I will say is never ship the Actors only ship the Characters in the Series! That way you never get disappointed!
I happened to see few shorts of world tour of KP right now. It was so amusing. They stripped - the wonderful men of KP shirtless, mimicking some overt sexual dance moves! Crowd went crazy, totally done for women. I have never seen actors men objectifying themselves like women. This would be fanservice right?
Yes it was fanservice and honestly i was not expecting them to do those kind of thing kiss on lip near thousand fan doing cringe thing. And they cross there l8mited . as i m ohmnanon fan after seeing those thing i m afraid if they let them do some cringe thing to ohmnanon i will be very dissapointed
That was like watching Strip show.. from what i have seen ( i have only seen the chunks). Totally done for female audience... And they were having real kiss too... I don't know how to react to that.. are the actors actually excited to wear clothes like that and kiss their co-actors off screen like that too?
Build really danced and twerked for the gallery. Isn't he tired of smiling so much and being cute? Why? Just why KP men were made to this bit in their tour? Women already love KP. The fans are promoting the series on their own.
As ohmnanon fan if they let them do some cring thing then it will very dissapointed for lot of fan bcz lot fan are aware how ohmnan nature are they are little uncomfortable in this kind of thing special nanon i hope after fanmeeting ohmnanon will start doing seprate work it time now for them to do seprate work
True... Ohmnanon fans are so far sensible and have given space to the actors.. they do not want them to be all cringe let's hope they will have a good fanmeeting...
