modelers are our own worst critics I see the time it took and how good the house is the Germans are actually well done and don't forget what you learned that means nothing you did was wasted you have gained more i personally liked your work and am a fan because I've hit a slow period so good luck enjoyed your video
I think you a little harsh on your figure painting skills Glenn, I am sure, all your followers are very impressed with the painting of these great Miniart set. I really love it when you use the plastic figures from Dragon, Miniart, etc. as most of us average modelers have these in our stash. The way you bring them to life almost, in a easy no frills way, that is easy for us to follow. The end diorama speaks volumes of your skill, hard work and just keep them coming, please.
fantastic work Glenn, the building came out so well. I'd never heard of the vinyl spackle before, it is just what I needed to complete a project of a 1944 French street scene, so Amazon came to the rescue. Brilliant painting techniques as well. Love it
Hello Glenn, hope all is well with you. Great intro! Very enjoyable to watch as always from the beginning to the end. Your thoughtful step by step commentary is very effective as all the pieces of your diorama come together. I think from the building to the figures, you really captured the sombre mood shown in the reference pictures. The way you made the cobbled walkway and the road is very interesting and the end result looks great. Your colour reference photos really set up the theme and painting scheme for the figures you chose. Very nice use of those Miniart figures and the way you painted them really adds to the context of your diorama. The bluish grey uniforms of the German figures with the contrasting camo of the paratroopers helps make the diorama come alive. Always nice to see Rommel. Thanks again for another very informative and well crafted custom diorama.
I bet you have a lot of fun building this scene .I love how it coming out at least .The figures come out very nice .I gues the gras could be a little more yellow greenish but this are only my 2 cents .Looking forward to the next masterpiece
Thanks! Grass is always an interesting thing as for color. It always depends on the season two I didn’t wanna make it too yellow. I thought that would clash with the red bricks. I was being a little bit more artistic here.😎
Hi Glenn Great work as usual mate! I love the old school techniques that you use. I like the way that you used sponge when painting the brick work. My only worry about using Magic Sculpt on plastic stock card over using XPS foam, is separation over time. Have you ever had any problems? Thanks once again for sharing another great build video ❤😊
The magic skull bonds to it like a rock because it’s an epoxy. It will never come up away from that plastic. In fact, I could drill it saw it even hammer. It almost stuff is like amazing. Thank you! Cheers!
I'm enjoying this. I've noticed some of the other guys using insulation foam as an underlying building material. Have you had any experience with that medium?
Enjoy the master class lesson and when this production was being built was there overhead opera Luciano Pavarotti or Francesco Malapena playing ever so softly?😂 I find it invigorating and soothing the mind while constructing the art of diorama building🍪🥛😝
