  • Welcome to another video of 16ft wonder, this video is just a bit different, instead of 2 people it is being run solo by Hunter. Really appreciate you coming back for another video. It was fun trip, for the most part anyway.

Great job man.. Your next investment should be a minn kota with Auto pilot, it will help you out tremendously when fighting fish solo..

I have a 12v minn kota with ipilot but just isn't strong enough, been thinking about upgrading to something better.

I have 24v Ultrex. I still use my main motor 90% of the for troll speed, but I can hit the remote around my neck at any time for Autopilot steer the boat when fighting fish. Because even with two people it can be a handful controlling the boat without it!! It's the way to go for us small boat guys..
Keep up the good work, get'er done brother!!

I fished solo a few times out there. Never hurts to tie a rope to u and something solid. Just long enough to do what u got to do, but not fall out the back. You'll never catch up to a 2.5 mph trolling boat. Great video, be safe

I have also trolled for Brown and Rainbow solo in a small bass boat on Jocassee Lake,
It is exciting but tough...but what a thrill

Just stumbled across this video. Your hookup ratio on your downriggers will sky rocket if you leave it in the holder when it pops and reel as fast as you can until you're solidly connected to the fish, THEN remove it from the holder. It is a night and day different on your hooksets. Good luck and tight lines dude.

I've seen lots of other people do that but never thought about it that way. I'm definitely gonna have to give it a try this spring.

That lure drop made me laugh dude. I haven't done that but I did kick my spoon off the back once. It happens.

Great vid. I do same in lake Erie solo, not the same as salmon but damn good to eat. Setting my boat up this winter for next year salmon fishing.

Nice job that is really tough fishing by yourself.

Forsure, especially in some choppy waves, you take your hands off the wheel and next thing you know your going the opposite way.

I use my front trolling motor for auto pilot. Game changer for solo missions. @@16ftWonder
