You can use the 17mm 5A linear or buck driver (better), and as for emitters you can get it with the W1, XPG2, 219B/C, 519A or LH351D in your CCT of choice.
My only issue with this flashlight is that they seemed to focus more on a pocket thrower. The S2+ and the cr123 version of it were much floodier. as was the aa lumintop tool. While it sends light out an awesome distance, the spill around the hotspot is super weak which really hurts the peripheral vision. I would like to see some customization options, like a floodier reflector.
What’s the difference between the ‘convoy flashlight store’ and ‘convoy led flashlight store’ on aliexpress. Just ordered an S8 with the SST40 5000kv light with a battery but it was from the ‘Convoy LED flashlight store’. Did I order from the wrong place?
Yeah I know right.. it might have reached close to 350m @ 3A. I wonder if it has something to do with the driver - seeing as it takes a normal AA, must buck the voltage.
@@DarrenYeoYT I have a W1 and Convoy T3 driver in my Jaxman E3, and it's truly impressive, but I'm planning to change the driver to the 5A driver and see how it performs.
@@CorradoVR6zwill the 5A driver fit in the T3? It's probably better in the aluminium version, the titanium version of my S2+ gets very hot with 5A driverm
@@DarrenYeoYT Yes, it's a 17mm driver. I agree, the aluminum is better. My Ti S2+ 719A 6V2A 18350 also gets very at max, at 35% it's not so bad, but it's my EDC light and I hardly ever run it at 100%.
It might just be because I'm American, but I saw 260m range and EDC in the thumbnail alongside what appeared to be a zip gun and I thought it was going to be the coolest pocket pistol in the world.
I had to google that.. those are legal in the states? It's difficult here in Australia. Lots of checks. I've been to a range a couple times, used a basic bolt action but would like to learn more.
i've tried almost every 14500 pocket thrower out there and the Lumintop fw1aa beats them all. There's also the LEP from lumintop that throws like 900m, the titanium version of the Lumintop Ant-man, not the aluminum version though as it's less powerful but it;s a laser flashlight in essence not usable for daily usage just for long range throw except if you use some kind of a diffuser like i did
The clip is extremely rigid/strong. Almost too much. I can't detach it without using pliers. If it's steel, it's a different grade than what's normally used.
Other than the ts10, what other ti flashlights are out there under $50? I’m not saying that’s cheap(it is), but it seems to be stupid cheap for a ti light. Especially when you consider there are a boatload that are in the $400-$700 range.
dude your filling my subscriptions page with upcoming videos
Sorry, it should be fixed now.. I shouldn't have selected that premiere option.
@@DarrenYeoYT yep sorted, thanks mate
Yeah shouldn't have done that, I pissed off a few people

Might wanna ask in our group, as I'm not sure: facebook.com/groups/flashlightfanatics
It's essentially the same light yes. all parts are interchangeable between the t2 and the t3 @@tobiasgarrard9271
The weltool T1 is a 14500 flashlight with 317yd (289m) at 540 lumens at 21k candela
That looks like a good option too, though pricier.
Manker striker mini 46k candela is an awesome little thrower
I got the s2+ in titanium and it had some scratches on it. Nothing really bad but still.
Oh yeah? That's no good. It's obvious?

Yeah, it'd be nice to see some other options available in titanium. The aluminium version of the T3 has OP reflector and various floodier LEDs.

Not sure about the other one but plenty of other stores resells Simon's lights.
I wish Simon had been a bit more aggressive with the driver and pushed it to 3A on max, that would be even more impressive.

I built an aluminum T3 with cslnm1 andConvoy 5a buck driver a while back. It throws harder with the 5a. Cheap easy upgrade if you use 14500s.

Compareable to weltool T1?
Somewhat. The driver is only 3A in this light, which reduces output and range.
