I’m a Sox fan and I don’t mind the rebuilding process. Losing is fine when it’s expected. I can find joy in seeing young players develop and progress. There’s nothing worse than cheering for a team that’s supposed to win 90+ games and seeing them lose 100
Honestly, rebuilding teams are the most fun games to go to. Tickets are cheap, you go in expecting to see them lose: worst case scenario, you're right; best case scenario you actually see them do something rare for that year.
Yea that's true but it's not fun to see when the young talent doesn't do anything later on and we're doing the same thing every other year
I'm with ya. I dont wanna see blowouts. I'm fine with losing. As long as they play well as a team and see they're having fun.
I think Robert is the only guy they aren't willing to trade. I'd be very surprised if Cease isn't traded before Christmas.
Keep Robert & build around him. They traded Chris Sale for mlb’s top prospect, & how has that worked out? He’s one of those guys you can’t just find. Sox fans deserve someone to tune in for.
You can trade for top prospects, just don’t give them big bucks as an incentive to re-sign with your team unless they’re actually worth the big bucks

While I agree that they should not tank since we've been tanking ever since 2010 basically. Since Jerry is the owners of the Chicago Bulls, I see the white sox playing just like the bulls, I know two different sports but typically he acts like the same owner in both franchises, this is just my opinion though, they have a chance of winning the division unfortunately.
Trade Luis? Maybe. But definitely keeping a 101 loss manager.
Just bc you have 2pcs doesn't mean it's not a rebuild. Call it what you want. They need to replace half the squad, and have little MILB depth, It's a rebuild.

What pisses me off is everyone is on the trading block except Yoan Moncada cause he’s horrible,injury prone and has a horrible contract

If Sox Trade Robert & Cease both they are even dumber and more lost than I think they are. Trading young Talent for what? More Young Talent...not proven? Complete Absolute Dumpster Fire rebuild if they go that far.
Trading Cease actually helps them if they get a haul. I agree with Robert but they won’t trade Vaughn, Beni, or other prospects in their thin farm system as of rn.
Keep Roberts and trade Cease and a couple others. Bring over more prospects. Started last season making trades bringing in prospects.

@@aidenawe9359 what I'm talking about. During last season they made some trades. Brought over a few prospects that made our top thirty prospects. Couple in the top ten. Keep trading. I want atleast two more big trades this off season. Cease and Eloy can go. I like Eloy he can't stay healthy. Get a couple good prospects and move on.

Kratz is the only one being logical because if you look at the division the twins guardians and tigers are all better and the Sox’s never seem to want to spend just sell Robert and Cease

I'll be okay with it if at minimum their defense improves so they aren't such an embarrassment next year. Looks like Getz has addressed that. Figuring Moncada will play his usual half season, they now have a couple of good infield gloves to fill in there, and play short and second. So no revolving door again in the infield. Robert has to stay. Cease can go, because their rotation sucks anyway, and teams like the Braves and Dodgers can afford to overpay for him for their better shot to win it all next year.
That said, bad as the division is, with luck (albeit a lot of it, good for the Sox and bad for the Twins and Indians) the Sox if most of the guys they got and might get, pan out, still could be competitive.

Moving Cease and Robert are the right thing to do because they’re not close to having a competitive team. Unfortunately, as a Sox fan, I have zero confidence in the Sox scouting. I could easily see them burying themselves in a deeper hole due to their inability to identify talent.
This alone is why I don’t want them to trade Robert.
trading Robert would be too premature. See what 2025 looks like before making that decision. Robert is locked down through 2027

Robert is a bit over rated in my opinion and should be traded while he is hot. 383 k's to 81bb, free swinger. He would be good batting 6th where he can swing away.
