Obviously, they had serviced the wheels recently. I remember when the train was this quiet (actually, slightly quieter). Definitely, they've done very little in the sound mitigation department in the last year. Now being July 2023, I doubt there are plans for any major work to the trains or track. If something major comes up, I'd expect them to close the line early. Anyways, thanks for talking them into letting you set up a camera inside the front cab.
What happened is exactly what I predicted. Sloppy maintenance resulted in a derailment. Instead of inspecting and repairing the guideway, TTC elected to shutdown months early. Otherwise it might have continued to run until the subway was ready to open. Now we have that idiotic busway, with some drivers skipping stops (why stop for just 3 or 4 people), and some stops being moved 50-100 feet. It's a good thing nobody with mobility issues use the TTC, and contractors salt and shovel the snow at every stop in the winter 🤣
Well, there’s a bunch of different costs. Had to get a TTC Film Permit for the day, had to purchase a film insurance policy for the film shoot, and had to pay an hourly rate for the TTC Supervisor to be there. I probably can’t break it down by line, but all in it probably cost me about $1,500 for the entire video production.
Thank you for this !!!! Finally a front view !!!!!!!

@@georgejones8784 Not enough Indians but far too many chiefs.
Only takes 12 minutes? Feels longer lol
Riding the length of Line 3 sometimes feels like an eternity. :P
Now that the trains no longer run, now it takes more than twice as long in some cases as the buses are so slow I don't even bother traveling that way
How much per line did you have to pay to film the front view?

Sadly this line is extinct like the dinosaurs 😢
